HBO doesnt even bother to hide their biases anymore, especially Merchant with Pac, Lampley with Barrera, and Steward's dislike of Mayweather.

Merchant had it even going into 12 and Marquez clearly won, yet after the fight he speaks of it as if Pac found some inner spirit and is a shade better than Marquez, even though his scorecard says the opposite.

Please leave your biases at home, your a professional analyst, not just a fan.

wow...just wow......

is it me,or did that 12 rounds go by so fast,i can hardly believe it`s over.....

when newer guys come on the board asking about picks on fights like this and vasquez/marquez,it should be obvious why even the old dogs just can`t come down definitively one way or the other....

it was what we said it was gonna be...pacquaio`s quick heavy hands vs marquez`technical combinations......

amazing fight...

good night..both knockdown props hit(marquez goes down+130 and either guy at-105..thanks for planting the seed, tony montana)....

had manny inside and by decision at roughly 2-1 both ways...feel lucky..it was that close...marquez could easily have gotten the nod....maybe he should have...he came on stronger late...

gave a few dollars back on draw and marquez inside props and a par with mma...

still, won some money...that`s almost inconsequential after watching that fight....

wow...i wish there were more...

i`m gonna have trouble sleeping,i`m so wired up..

Had the same thing as you guys and i had no wager on the fight. Had Marquez by 1 point. I think the first round was a joke for anyone to give to Pacman. Does Letterman ever give the first round to the fighter who actually wins it? Last round was Marquez also. Again i have to watch Ford go 115-112 and the other crook Roth go the complete opposite:shrug: . I swear these two rotten ****s know that if it goes the distance its predetermine who is gonna win and i have to believe that most of the money was on Marquez because those odds were to juicy to turn down. I couldn't give to shits if the line went up. That is part of their bullshit agenda. The majority of the money was not on Pac but like always in Vegas the public loses the bet. Boy they got a good thing going out there. Its just like printing free money

NJ i thought that was pretty comical of Merchant also.

some great comments here from everyone. I don't know if Marquez won that fight but he definitley diidn't lose it and took the last 2 rounds.

Lederman sucks- needs to retire . Marquez hurt and wobbled Paq in round 1 with the left hook at the end. I think he gave Paq last round also which is a joke.

Great point that Merchant had it even going into the 12th and then Marquez took the last round- he seeme to forget that and then I didn't like the question To Marquez post fight like do you feel like your whole career has gone this way, always coming up short.. Emannuel Steward seemed like he might have had a pile of cash on Paq as he was riding his jock all night Great fight, great fighters- shitty judges and commentators. Great weekend though. Met Urbano Anitllon and Rocky Juarez- both cool cats.

Well it looks like my profits are slowly diminishing but I've been setting up parlays over the last few weeks that could bring in 2.5 units. Last night I got greedy and parlayed Marquez +16.5 -200 / Dawson -330 down the road, then parlayed Pac wins only -200 / Dawson -330 again. Played them both for $400 and now have $800 riding on Dawson at even money, also have the parlays listed below...

Antillon over Pacquiao -210 (winner) / Dawson over Johnson -275 (pending)...lay .50 to win .50

Mtagwa-Valtierra Over 9.5 -350 (winner) / Dawson over Johnson -330...(-150)...lay .90 to win .60

Ruiz-McCline Over 9.5 -300 (winner) / Dawson over Johnson -330...(-135)...lay .60 to win .45

Diaz-Morano Over 9.5 -260 (winner) / Rees-Kotelnik Over 11.5 -380....(-130)...Lay .40 to win .30

Marquez +16.5 points -195 (winner) / Cotto over Gomez -1050....(-150).... lay .45 to win .30

Molitor over Castillo -600 (winner) / Hopkins-Calzaghe Over 11.5 -290....(-175)....lay .60 to win .35

There was a pre-fight weigh-in last week.

Dawson was already down to 175 and Johnson was still high in the 180s.

It's good for Dawson that he is already down to 175, but that's quite unusual.

Johnson seems to be the bigger, stronger - certainly tougher - man.

I also like that Johnson has been very active.

I have some bets on over 9 rounds....

Dawson will probably win a decision, but he's been down against Adamek.

Maybe Johnson can get to him in the later rounds, thats probably his best shot in the fight...

I agree, Johnson is the bigger, stronger guy...but Dawson is 4'' taller and a slick southpaw, I don't think Johnson will get many chances to impose his will on the younger fresher kid. Johnson is damn near 40 and has been in the game a long time, been through alot of tough fights, my play is based on Johnson not being the same fighter he was when he made his title run a few years ago. I thinkn Dawson outboxes him for the most part, and times him up when he gets close. Their fighting for Dawson title and under Dawson's promotion so Johnson will have to win very clearly

I'd like to here more opinions on this...

Johnson's problem will probably be that he's not precise enough, but if he lands a clean shot on Dawson's chin he may go...

But I see your reasoning, Dawson got a lot going for him...
