Good schedule!

I'm really looking forward to the Wladimir Chambers fight!

It has been a long time since Wlad fought....or so it seems...his brother is certainly more active.

I would like to hear some opinions on Walker vs. Banks, sportingbet has some lines already, but I'm aware that punchy made a very good point about not giving away too much!

Baby Klit finally fights somebody with a remote chance of winning and HBO doesn't take it. They accept Ibrag, Chag, ancient and shot Rahman, and Ray Austin but they reject Chambers. Who are the fcking suits over there?

Wasn't Klitschko-Chagaev on ESPN Classic, Romi? I think everyone agrees that the people now in charge of HBO Boxing are not boxing guys: they don't get it. This is the most interesting Klitschko fight in a long time and it isn't on American TV? Amazing! We can watch it online, though, at www.klitschko.com/ ... I think they are asking about $15. (Don't know if I'm allowed to post the link?)

graham are you still based in the u.k.?.....reason i`m asking is that my dearest just picked me up a dvd of my favorite movie of all time(the original get carter)....watched it 3 times this weekend already and pulled up the theme on youtube....

i know it`s off topic,but,i`m just crazy about that movie and the theme is probably the most haunting movie track in history(imo)...caine was magnificent... the bleak mood of the movie was breathtaking...and i still laugh every time i hear him say "thorpie"...i still remember the day i saw this movie in a theater in downtown baltimore.... (i hooked school and saw it..lol)

I live in Vancouver B.C. now GW but I well remember "Get Carter" and the classic Michael Caine line: "Now don't be silly. You're a big man, but you're out of shape." ... I don't watch movies much any more although I did enjoy a British crime movie called "Layer Cake", a bit of a sleeper made a few years ago starring Daniel Craig. (The title becomes apparent towards the end of the movie.) I also liked "Gangster No. 1" and "Croupier", both British movies, "Let Him Have It" (another British film) and a movie about the Kray twins called "The Krays". And I thought Richard Burton was brilliant in "Villain", which of course was based on the criminal career of Ronald Kray (the homosexual brother). There was a great ironic line where the Burton character has to make a call using a public phone, and of course the phone has been rendered inoperable by local yobs, petty crime being prevalent in working-class Britain, and the ruthless criminal exclaims in words dripping with disgust: "F---ing vandals!" OK, that's that, back to boxing....

I believe you are correct Graham...my bad. But HBO has aired several other Wlad mismatches and it doesn't make much sense to not have this one. Thx for the link :box2:

New Haven?s former IBF middleweight title contender Elvin Ayala has a shot at resurrecting a career that has gotten off track since losing a tough 12-round bout in Germany against unbeaten Arthur Abraham two years ago.

Ayala is heading to France this week to fight Hassan N?Dam N?Jikam (22-0) for the vacant WBA international middleweight title Saturday.

After Ayala demanded that his promoters (TKO Boxing Promotions of Las Vegas) get off their duff and find him a fight last month, ?they called me back about a half hour later and said, ?We have a miracle fight for you.??

?This fight here could change everything. I feel ready. ... I?ve felt ready before. ... But I?m older now (29), and I?ve learned a lot. I?ve trained hard, and I?m very positive going into the fight.?
