Strange to see Miranda fighting in the U.K.
Wonder how that was worked out by Warriors Boxing.

Nothing on HBO or Showtime, but ESPN will have Friday Night Fights and they will carry the Klitschko fight Saturday.

Roy Jones-Omar Sheika is an internet PPV. I will order and do Round by Round Saturday.

Christmas will be coming early for me if this is signed...I want some GETBACK !

What happened to Crybaby Faker Bitch Boy going back to 147?
If he thinks Sergio Martinez "headbutts" hard, he is going to think Angulo is shooting him with a machine gun.

Will the books give odds on which way the Crybaby Faker opts out? Do you think he will get a Majority Draw once he is knocked unconscious?

Few other fights being rumored
(per Steve Kim at Maxboxing.com):

- James Kirkland vs Sergei Dzindriuk for the WBO 154 title. June 27th. HBO.
Undercard might be Ortiz-Kotelnik and John-Juarez 2.

- Vic Darchinyan might be facing IBF 118-pound belt-holder Joseph Agbeko on June 6th on Showtime.

- There are early discussions of Arthur Abraham-Vernon Forrest for the summer, on Showtime.

- Mayorga vs. Daniel Santos some time in May.

- Cory Spinks vs. Deandre Latimore. April 18th

- Bernard Hopkins vs Tomasz Adamek, July 11, MSG or Prudential Center, possibly HBO PPV

Can Roman finally retire that guy?

No kidding...Echols is a tragedy waiting to happen.
He's the only guy who will take a fight on 2 days notice...probably for 3 grand.

Not very safe for him to keep fighting.

I think another tragedy was just avoided when Vicente Escobedo became replacement for Jorge Barrios instead a pathetic excuse for a fight against Kevin Kelly.

Fernando Beltran vs. Miguel Roman bout

Fernando Beltran vs. Miguel Roman bout

Fernando Beltran Jr. to win is only -300. I thought he would be a much bigger favorite. I saw Miguel Roman live in Sacramento, CA about a year and a half ago and the guy lost every round against a guy I never heard of with 14 losses. Roman had little or no technique and from looking at his record all his wins come from C or lower level fighters. Beltran's fought the better fights, gave a good showing against Joan Guzman, he's a southpaw (which should confuse Mickey Roman), and he has a big height and reach advantage. I see Beltran winning a clear-cut unanimous decision using his movement and combinations to dictate the tempo throughout the fight.

Your guys opinions on the fight would be welcome.

Guys, check this one out:
What a bizarre fight in Argentina Friday.

Alex De Jesus
-145
Cesar Rene Cuenca
+115

De Jesus - -26 years old out of Puerto Rico. 19 wins. 13 KOs. Being moved along pretty nicely. Wins over Quinonez, Morua, Izquierdo, etc. An Olympic teammate of JuanMa's.

But he is traveling to Argentina to fight Cuenca - 28 years old. Fighting in his home country. 35 wins. 1 KO ! 1 freaking KO ! :mj07:

For the WBO Latino welterweight title.

The guy with only 1 KO can obviously box with 35 wins and no losses. He holds wins over former WBA lightweight champ Jose Alfaro and Carlos Vilches when he was more useful.

Nice catch Kramden. Didn't even see Alfaro there on the record. MD though. In Argentina. Alfaro can crack, probably harder than De Jesus.

:00x32

If he is standing after 12 on Friday, the light welterweight Zuri Lawrence probably gets a decision.

This weekend's bout between super featherweights Zolani Marali (19-2, 13KOs) of South Africa and Fahsai Sakkreenin (24-1, 10KOs) of Thailand was called off. The fight was scheduled to take place on Saturday at Emperor's Palace in Gauteng, South Africa. The vacant IBO super featherweight title was going to be at stake.

In a strange story the fight was called off, according to The Sunday Times , because Sakkreenin refused to take a pre-fight blood test. No reason was given as to why the blood test was turned down.

Some may remember Marali as the fighter who dropped a very controversial decision to Billy Dib last year. The paper says there are unconfirmed rumors of Marali vs. Sakkreenin being rescheduled to April 2.

Sakkreenin verbally revealed his Hepatitis B status.

Decision for Beltran is reasonable. The guy that beat Roman was Michael Domingo and he's much better than his record suggests. Still, Beltran should get it done by DEC and be forced to work a bit.

Ustinov/Batch under just too nice to pass on @+140. Batch has been inactive and you got to think he was sent over for a payday.

Can Dunne actually beat a world class fighter? I don't think so. He's been carefully brought up and doesnt appear to be to durable. Haven't seen Cordoba but if he drew with Sidorenko twice, I have to think he's too good for dunne. Thinking about that one.

Grahams site is down. Looks like it may have been hacked into. Good luck Graham...hope to see it back up soon.

Romi - you know my feeling on Ustinov. They are keeping him busy and pumping his stock up in Germany. Batchelder is shite. I know 7.5 is sort of low (and Abraham didn't do the job last week), but Ustinov is going to get it done ITD.

I was laughing so hard when Kiko Martinez smoked Dunne in Ireland last year. The crowd was screaming for Dunne, and within 50 seonds, complete silence.

Now he get's another shot - and unlucky for him against a better fighter than Martinez. I think Cordoba is really good. I just don's see how Dunne is going to do it.

I do see a few upset chances this week...but IMO not Dunne. I will be surprised if Cordoba doesn't stop him.
