Does "Baby Doll' Reid have a shot against the ?Killer Queen? Kentikian? Anyway, I can't wait to see Baby Doll in a bikini at the weigh-in!:grins:

I think she does actually. The problem is, in Germany, all these chick fights are fixed on the cards.

I saw Killer Queen's last fight. Looked to me like the opponent was doing quite well for segments. Then came the scores: wide UD for Kentikian. Really hard to win there in Germany.

Ustinov/Batch under just too nice to pass on @+140. Batch has been inactive and you got to think he was sent over for a payday.

Can Dunne actually beat a world class fighter? I don't think so. He's been carefully brought up and doesnt appear to be to durable. Haven't seen Cordoba but if he drew with Sidorenko twice, I have to think he's too good for dunne. Thinking about that one.

Grahams site is down. Looks like it may have been hacked into. Good luck Graham...hope to see it back up soon.
I missed the +140 odds or would have been all over them. The odds are now at -145.
I might still bet as this GIANT is fighting a guy who has weighed as little as 165 pounds for a fight.

Cordoba is too good for Dunne. I think Dunne is a pretty good boxer but his chin is shite.
I have seen him decked and wobbled badly before he got demolished by Kiko.
I have also heard rumours that he has been knocked cold a few times sparring.

I think +170 on under 9 1/2 rounds could be a good bet.

Good luck all!!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

Yeah, she'd probably have to win 10 rounds just to get a draw and she's not a KO puncher. Basically, you'll have a 20 minute sparring session and Killer Bee will have her hand raised. Plus, Elena hasn't been too consistent as of late.

I think Kim might have a shot against Torres on ESPN FNFs.

Kim is the Korean who, out of nowhere, smoked Gogolazadeh. Torres is the guy who got KO'ed at the Playboy Mansion last year by Julio Diaz.

Kim is younger and smaller, but the playing field might be leveled out by the fact that Torres sucks balls. One of the worst fighters I have ever seen in an ESPN main event.

I will take a stab on the 22 year old Korean. Maybe he can get Torres to quit again.

As much as I can't stand B.J. Flores, he really should be able to knock Herrera out before 7.5.
Herrera has screwed me twice now.

Once when he upset Aaron Williams on FNFs.
Then he went over the Germany a few months ago, and somehow lasted over 7.5 with Licina. That was mostly Licina's fault for not finishing the deal.

Herrera is a fun fighter to watch, though. All his wins by KO, all his losses by KO.

Flores, if he is HALF of what he claims he is, should be able to KO this guy. Herrera has been stopped in 4 out of his last 6.

Thanks Ghost,

The site is up and running again. There is a recurring data base problem. I will have to get the web-hosting company to see of there is a permanent fix for this.

Kim versus Torres is off. Torres pulled out. I liked Kim in that fight. Too bad.

DRAT !!!!!!!

That was an upset special ! Maybe Torres pulled out to start a new profession. Kim was going to win. Darn it !

and Casamayor just pulled out against Julio Diaz April 4th. The injury bug is spreading again !

:(

Romi was wishing you well Graham (regarding the site). Though of course, I do as well. Glad to see fightwriter back up and running.

Guess there will be no odds on
Chris Byrd (40-5) vs. Matthias Sandow (4-3) ?
:mj07:
Haven't seen any yet at least

I just realized SKY is showing the Ian Napa card Friday, not the Edison Miranda fight. Is this true?
If so, that's crap. I'd much rather see the Miranda fight.

I have a lot of parlays this week. Some wide odds look very solid. Ustinov, Miranda, Flores. I took Miranda straight up -525 and also took a stab at the under -250 8 1/2. JOEY VEGAS, a light punching Ugandan whos weight has been up and down will be the opponent. He last fought at 190.He has been stopped in 4 by a marginal middleweight. Vegas had the guy outweighed by 16 lbs in that one. Miranda is a beast...at least when he's not fighting the elite of the division. I like Miranda inside.

Thx for the info on Dunne, Weepaul. I never thought much of him. I think he's chiiny. Even in his last go against a scrub, he was holding on. Some of us got a break on the under due to a head clash. Dunne SHOULD have stopped the guy but the guy actually gave Dunne a few tough moments.

I got the same parlay Romi - guess great minds think alike !
:toast:

Vegas is very ordinary. I saw his last fight (a sloppy draw with an overweight Francis). Miranda should impress here. Wonder what weight they are fighting at? That's my only worry on the under.
It's a bummer we can't watch it. Apprarently maxboxing.com is showing it tape-delayed the next day.

I really hate myself for betting on that pompous ass B.J. Flores. But the fight is made for him. If he blows this he should retire.

I think Cordoba stops Dunne, I even have a small bet on Cordoba in one.

So far my biggest bet for the weekend is Gomez Vitaly over 6,7,8.
Vitaly usually gets his opponents out of there, but he might need some time to get rid of Gomez....he has been extended by lesser fighters (Donald, Williams, Bean, etc....)

Kentikian will most probably win on points!

Zerwas, I think Vitali goes rounds with JCG as well.
OK, let me just say this about the heavyweight title fight (and risk being made fun of):

I don't even count the Peter fight. Peter was listless and pathetic. Vitali basically hasn't fought in 4 years. JCG is not the best fighter in the world, but he is damn capable.

NO WAY I play Klitschko in this fight. He is too heavily favored.
SMALL for me on the upset - JC Gomez to perplex big Klit and grab an SD.

He probably gets stopped, but at the odds, it's a no-brainer.

Good luck on the over.

Vitaly usually wears his opponents down...I'm not counting ou the possibiltiy that this will happen here, but Gomez is well conditioned, and I think he has a good chin...
BTW, Gomez actually fights a bit like Klitschko himself, both fighters are pretty good movers, who like to carry their hands low...obviously Vitaly is bigger and stronger...

Vitaly IMO looked slow against Peter and Gomez is capable, so why not take a chance!?

Maybe a take a shot at a draw or a MD / SD prop!?

I took Cordoba -295 plus I added him to a parlay. Hopefully there won't be any shenanigans going on over in Ireland this wkend. I expect Dunne to fight above his ability for a few rds with the loud Irish crowd cheering him on but I think Cordoba will take over by mid fight and win a ud or possibly stop him late.

I am looking closer at this Miranda fight
Joey Vegas fought on February 13th against Dean Francis. He weighed 190 !

How the hell is he going to fight at 168 Friday? Is Miranda fighting him at a catch?
It has to be a catch.

edit: Apprarently he weighed 178 when Geard Ajetovic stopped him in 4. and Ajetovic is listed (according to boxrec) and 162 lbs!
guess they have different rules in York Hall, Bethnal Green, London, United Kingdom.

I'm taking the shot with Gomez; SU and maybe draw or sd. The over 7.5 looks good also.

I can't believe I am doing this BUT I am putting a small bet down on "Punch Drunk" Shieka to beat "Old Man" Roy at +500.

After Roy's last performance, I would bet my 3 year old daughter to beat him at +500. She does have the advantage of the better chin these day's.

RJ has been very beatable for a long time. Forget the kd against Zags...it was a forearm. If Sheika fights to win he can take it. He cant give RJ an ounce of respect. RJ will shuck and jive and play to the camera but it's ALL SHOW at this point. Take Roy to the ropes and simply outfight him over the course. It all depends on how much Sheika wants it. It's his for the taking IMO. I'd make RJ only a moderate favorite. I would not be shocked to see Sheika stop him.
