My bets for Saturday, 3/28/09:

PARLAYS
Konecny/Hearns
Hearns/Soto/Montiel
Dirrell/Hearns/Lopez

STRAIGHTS
LARGE Ragosina under 8.5
MEDIUM Lopez over Thai guy in Puerto Rico
MEDIUM Castro over Diaz
SMALL Soto under 10.5
SMALL Kovacs over Khurtsidze
SMALL Kolle over fake KO artist

NO PLAYS
Dodson fight, Hatton fight, Chavez fight
I don't trust Chavez Jr., and the opponent looks crappy...staying away

I have hedged off of the Montiel under. I think you guys will hit it, but I'm having a good week and don't want to spread myself too thin.

Good luck everyone !
:toast:

We should have the German chick result by 2pm ET
Ragosina....Ragosina...Ragosina....
:box2:

"the bunker"
might take a small shot on the montiel under...i counted no fewer than 5 k.d.`s against silva in his career....and some of these guys had absolutely woeful records....

this guy silva fought a 6 round draw with an 8-10-2 fighter(the guy had him on the canvas) in 2008....the guy had lost his previous 6 fights in a row....montiel`s a whole `nother issue in mexico for this guy silva...the guy has never left argentina(short of fighting a handful of set-ups in uruguay)...

the odds are reasonable...small wager on this and the soto under using some of the francs(franks;) ) won on the saldivia/chambers parlay ......

I put quite a bit on Castro +175. This kid looks like a tough hombre. Will be huge if he can pull it off. I like the confidence of this guy. Only question is if he's strong/big enough to fight @145...I think he is.

-parlay chambers, direll, montiel, soto, hearns +190

-hearns -360

-lopez -180....waited to long

-rag under +175

-montiel under +170

I won on saldivia and burns and burke, but lost a big one in Japan. Fight ended on a butt in the 3rd rd...Most other venues and its a NC b4 4 rds completed.

montoya from maxboxing picking castro too

he's been pretty hot

who's evan on?

I'd imagine he'd be on the doggy but Evan is awol this morning. He picked chambers w/2% of bankroll but the odds had moved by the time the pick came out. Like many, myself included, he was waiting on the weigh in. As it turned out, Peters weight is what lost him the fight. If he comes in in reasonable shape, he wins against the very tentative chambers. Despite the win, IMO Chambers doesnt have the fighting heart to make it at the top level.

I added the under on Soto. Taking a look at Luevenos record, he doesnt have a lot of pop but he had Davis in all kinds of trouble and dominated him over the course. Soto has heavier hands and is more agressive. I'd take soto itd if available so I'll settle for the under. Soto has been a little disappointing in his last 2 so hopefully he'll want to impress his hometown fans. Evan is also on the under.

I have A BUNDLE riding on todays fights. Hopefully Rags strts it off with an early night!!! GOOD LUCK everybody!

Fightnews just reported that Ragosina scored a 6th rd KO! Nice job, guys, as I had no idea on that one and tailed your pick there.

oh well. i was due for a bad loss.

im on soto under tonight, castro definitely, small on kolle. right with you guys:thumb:

Fuk!! So close!!

Khurtsidze hardly retained his belt moments ago in Cherkassy, Ukraine, scoring a narrow majority decision, which could have gone either way, over Hungarian guest Attila Kovacs.

As per fightnews.

Lopez just won a UD over the Thai guy in Puerto Rico

that takes a bit of the sting off
small profit on the weekend for me
but like everyone else, Hearns ruined everything

Well at least Lopez wins in PR to end the wk on a winning note. Small consolation to a horrendous end. Hearns was either going to make it a very good week or destroy it. The guy went down in flames and so did my week. Sorry boys...looks like many had Hearns as well. I was feeling my oats after soto destructed Diaz and then it all went to hell...thats boxing. Better money management would have saved the week. Live and learn. See you next week gents.

Money Management 101.
I was staring at the Yorgey +400 line. It was begging me to hedge. I had 3 g's in parlays that Hearns would have finished off.

and the stubborn bastard I am - I sat on it. I gave Yorgey ZERO chance.

He proved me wrong BIG TIME. Hearns ruins a beautiful weekend. I'm vomiting.

Just added it up....Hearns cost me 3415
:scared

This is what kills me
this weekend I hit

Saldivia
Chambers
Lopez
Koelle

all even money fights with good odds
also hit the under in the Soto and Montiel fights

and fucking Ronald Hearns goes and pisses all over everything!

Disaster. Money Management. SHOULD NEVER HIT THAT MANY FIGHTS and HAVE A BAD WEEK !!!!!!!!!!!!

Wish I had the control that Brainiac has with boxing bets. He goes ape shit with ufc/mma, but is VERY selective with the boxing. All the work down the shitter. Fuking torture!
