Update from the Los Angeles Times:

"The latest: Canelo went home after weighing 151.4, and now Oscar, Ricky Hatton and two officials are haggling out a settlement.

The fight is now on. Canelo will pay an additional undisclosed penalty to Hatton after Ricky, Oscar and others haggled it out. WBC belt on line."

I parlayed Escobedo and the Black Russian tonight.

Still looking over tomorrow.

If Mack can't beat OG Griffin, then he shouldn't set foot in a boxing ring beyond tonight.

Griffin is slow and has durability issues, to say the least. And fighting above his weight.

However, not a chance I bet a penny on Mack. Dude is a complete headcase. Switching trainers constantly, and all the Jesus talk.

However, Bible thumpers are undefeated this weekend so far. Diego Sanchez.

I like Broner BIG in this fight.
Also this week almost everyone agree on Sillakh, and Mabuza. If all three of them win it will be spectacular week!

What is so great about Broner?

Dude has been beating bums. I think I beat Ilido Julio recently, too.

This should be a good test - Ponce loses to the best, and CRUSHES the rest.

Yordanis Despaigne +170

Both of these guys are professional amateurs so I expect this to be a very technical fight

In terms of pedigree, Desp has beaten Adamek and Jean Pascal with the head gear on

I will take my chances

The Cuban is well schooled. Not a big wager on The Black Russian but those comments make me a tad nervous. Should be a good fight.

Good luck and welcome to the board :toast:

broner looks like a front runner but if he has the legs for the finish line

he'll run all day to a wide ud victory

In that youtube video against Julio, he was doing a broke ass Floyd impression.

He knocked down Julio, and then did a little jive shuffle back to the corner like it was impressive. It wasn't.

Like Andrey said, he may very well be too big for Ponce.

But there is nothing in existing footage yet that makes me love him.

NO PLAY for me.

Good call - I noticed it as well

Anthony and Lamont Peterson - ESQUE

This dude is either gonna swim like a champ early tomorrow

Yes, but he beat the lesser Adamek, the one from the Czech Republic, not the Polish Adamek, in the amateurs. Also, Despaigne lost to Andy Lee in an amateur tournament.

I was up till 3 a.m. working on that one, Romi! Asikainen looked big and strong at the weigh-in, but looking at footage of his recent fights he just didn't seem "right". The Polish guy seemed capable and I gave him the benefit of the doubt on the Curtis Stevens blowout when Wilczewski came back very well in round two after a terrible first round but couldn't get over the bad beginning completely and got caught again in the third.
