Valuev -350 / Chagaev +250

Valuev -350 / Chagaev +250

I know Valuev is not a great fighter, and Chagaev is a skilled southpaw with decent power. I also realize that Chagaev fights out of Germany and has a solid promoter/manager.

However, Valuev is a Sauerland/King fighter and that trumps any influence that Chagaev and his poeple might have. This event is promoted by Sauerland. You also have to remember that a Valuev win keeps alive the future mega fight Klitschko, although I think King will try to suck more cash out of Valuev before putting him in a dangerous fight like that.

Anyway, forget all that and look at the real reason I like Valuev in this fight...

Btw, I'm still not sure if I like Valuev enough to play him straight at -350, but I definitly think he's parlay material. I believe gw mentioned Drews -420 as a solid parlay leg, and I agree, that combo makes -170 odds.

I will never forget the time at one of those wrestlemania's i think, Butterbean fought a wrestler who won a boxing contest between the wrestler. Butterbean hit him with a shot that might have been the hardest shot i ever saw a guy take. I never saw that wrestler again.:scared

You guys are doing a pretty good job - some nice calls I see. Franks if youre playing Marquez why arent you taking the Marquez by dec. at +254. I cant see him knocking Barrera out.

Spinch ya still mad at me buddy? You guys have alot more confidence in Freitas than I do. I think the Baby Bull is a quality fighter. I actually thought he was really good but his last performance was actually pretty poor.

I still dont see anything out there that I really like.
I'll tell ya what though, when that Arce vs the Armenian fight finally gets made I'll be coming out of retirement in a BIG way. I'll have at least 5K that says Arce takes him to school.

Almly, well, since you asked; I originally played JMM +160. The number at one of the casinos here had Barrera-130. So you know what happened next. I don't deliberately go out looking for scalps, but this one was dropped in my lap. If JMM wins, I pick up some coin. If not, I will lose a lot less than a straight JMM wager. I could equalize the whole deal and lower my return on JMM, but I'm a greedy bastard! I agree, I don't feel Barrera will get put to sleep, but as we well know, poop happens.

Im serious, I'd bet my ass off on Arce. I think Arce is easily the more skilled fighter. It would be like Barrera vs Hamed. But I just dont see anything coming up in the future that I really like besides possibly that. I might push off a little on Hatton vs Castillo but thats about it.

I agree that Marquez probably won't stop Barrera, but I think this fight has a very good chance of ending a Draw, in which case the decision prop loses while the straight bet pushes. I would put a little on the draw just in case, if you're taking the decision prop.
