"the bunker"
He's worse now I agree. A combination of a lot of things IMO. Confidence, the shoulder and the fact that his style is hit and get hit more. However, I don;t think he was ever to good. A lot of flaws were overlooked because he was a fun fighter to watch.

he did have power...he was a brute in there...not great technically...but he was a brutal puncher....

i thought guys never lost their power...apparently that`s not the case... ...cause this guy he fought tonight wasn`t much....

oh well...

Griffin is screaming robbery. Yeah this is really what he had to say....

RJJ should be fighting me!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fightbeat! You guys are my family. So I'm gone give it to you uncut! Great deal of respect for Lacy; he's had a great career, but 4/10 he got his a*@ handed to him. I won by more than six rounds. Had him hurt at least 4 times off clean combo punching. Join with me and demand RJJ fights me this summer. Roy told me he would make it happen but he needs to be held to it. Lacy lost all his hometown fans and I worked my but off at Lake Arrowhead to win and was robbed by a cox eyed bandit. I never lost the NABO title. I was the only LHW with the moxie to go to Australia to fight Danny Green on short notice. NABO strip me. Now I beat Lacy and was robbed. RJJ I won't my belt! Fightbeat make some noise for yo boy! Much love and thank you for your suport. God bless you all!!!

i was way wrong...congrats to the guys that had the balls to take griffin....

you guys were right...and probably got the shaft...

lacy is finished...it`s official...

again...a humble tip o` me cap to the griffin backers...:hail

We're not so much Griffin backers as much as Lacy detractors. I had, and have, no idea who the fuck Griffin is. I just thought anyone with 2 arms and 2 legs had a good shot of pushing Lacy off the deep end.

But Props to the Lacy backers; home cooking has to be a part of one's gambling decisions....and its something I too often ignore. It should have been clear to me that if Lacy finished the fight on his feet, he would win. Just like that kid who "beat" chop chop tonight.

F****!
You are right weepaul, that s the way things usually go, if you bet on the underdog.
I made two small plays yesterday on Griffin and Chop Chop and both fighters could (or should) have won...but of course thats bound to happen more often than not...

Nashiro won!!! :00hour

Congrats Ghost! And the big under hits too! :00hour

From fightnews I recon it was the great fight.

WBA super-fly champ Nobuo Nashiro (13-1, 8 KOs), 115, came off the canvas twice in the first and sixth and finally retaliated to score a come-from-behind TKO win over compatriot Konosuke Tomiyama (18-2, 6 KOs), a taller boxer-puncher from Tokyo, at 1:22 of the eighth round to retain his WBA belt and have the spectators in frenzy on Saturday in Osaka, Japan

heres a dilley of a pickle: hernandez to beat rubillar +400.

based on boxrec entirely. the fight is in mexico, hernandez's backyard, rubillar is from the phillipines.

rubillar has way more fights, but look at his opponents' records - they're all cans! considering the weak oppoisiton, his ko% of 35 is dreadful! and he was koed in his last fight

everyone hernandez has fought has winning records, some of them impressive looking, and his ko ratio is much better.

i know next to nothing about these guys mind you, just going off boxrec. this fight is so obscure that boxrec doesnt even have hernandez's birth date listed! i can only assume he's the younger and fresher guy

anyway +400 looks like a solid play

I had a good night wagering the chalk w/big dough on Lacy. I was more lucky than good but venue is always considered in a wager. Both fights were set up for the favorite to win. All they pretty much had to do was to show up and be standing at the end. Not sure if I'm going to bank on my luck and keep the 1 k on fatso tonight. I can scalp it. HBO hands this guy a great opportunity to shine on the big stage and the guy comes in @ 255! You can take him out of the streets but apparently you can't take the streets out of him. The guy is a character and he's exciting but his days are extremely numbered.

Romi, at some forum or another i read a blurb from Arreola's ESPN interview, and he admitted to overeating and not being in shape. the question was accusatory against him, and his reply made no attempt to defend himself. i think he listed his ideal weight at 240ish. straight from the horse's mouth they say, though it confirms what was obvious.

weepaul, you're The Man at these UK fights, how do you predict the O'Donnell-Watson fight will go, and do you think it will be a decision or KO win for O'Donnell? if you can, try to bet it live at 365 of Fair, i think you'll find it very profitable, especially if you have good insight into when the momentum swings will occur.

for fun, im adding winky itd +1000. this covers a td, the most likely way of it winning.

winky wright

winky wright

Winky Wright +400 to win by decision.

Taking out the age factor and his opponent, those odds would be awesome in the past.

I'm sure it's been mentioned on the board already, and I am not sure how the fight will play out, but good value?

only qualm i have is that ii prefer that the punisher look worse at weigh-ins

i don't like when he has that big gleam in his eye

i remember he looked like dried turd before the margarito fight, but brought a lot of pain

I agree a decision win by WW is possible but I don't really follow your thinking. You say IN THE PAST, well, this isn't the past. Also you say removing the age factor, and his opponent. Well what's left? So if I'm reading this correctly, we need to go back 5 years ago, versus a different opponent. Basically a whole different set of circumstances, a different fight altogether. I think Wright has a decent shot here, in 2009, versus Paul Williams, TODAY.
