Looks like your work's about done there Ghost.

Exceptionally quiet week, but two great fights!

Perez-Vic Darc

Perez-Vic Darc

This one intrigues me. Perhaps of the wild style of Vic D. He has been saying he is going native now(no more pure boxing, but brawling) as he had been doing. Don't know why, I just love watching that crazy bastard. However, this is about being on the right side of a wager, so I hope to hear what you all have on this. I can't get a read at this point.

Last nite Showtime re-ran Vic versus Agbeko back in 2009. Vic lost and rightfully so. He is entertaining to watch, but I see a wild man. A technically sound boxer/puncher should be able to make him go away. Is Perez such a fighter? Wish I knew. Also from what I could gather, Mares is extremely confident and has prepared for Agbeko. This ain't easy. Nothing jumps out.

I think the over 9.5 (-340) on Agbeko/Mares is great parlay material. I think a cut is the only way this gets stopped early.

I think a 'technically sound boxer/puncher' is a very good description of what Perez is. Thing is, Vic is such an effective wild man that it takes an excellent boxer/puncher to overcome his tenacity. Is Perez that? I think he exhibited that in a couple fights, throwing loads of punches. But now there are some question marks??? He looked tired in his last fight against Agbeko, and wasn't nearly as active.

Will Perez take his old form or not? Even odds are appropriate. Both excellent and intriguing fights.

POOP! I feel like just throwing darts and see where they land! OK, I got that out of the system. Well, if I can't bet, I can still look forward to competitive matches. At this point, I'm leaning Mares. And I also think Vic D. is too berserk for my taste. I may fade him also.

Vic Darchinyan-Perez

Vic Darchinyan-Perez

Well, ole Vic says he WILL KO Perez. Guys always talk smack, but based on the rhetoric of late from the wild man Vic D., I think he means it. To try at least. So, if this factoid is of any use to use, it might be to expect a wild fight, with knockdowns and possible clashes of heads. I think Perez has height/reach advantage so Vic will try and close the distance, and he does this with reckless abandon, as we well know. From a betting perspective, I don't care for his mad man style of boxing, but purely from an entertainment point of view, I love it.
