perez just seems so ez to hit

vic's left can be like a laser, reminds me of pac's

the pattern in which perez moves looks like it's perfect for vic to line up target practice

should be a good scrap

My 2 cents:
Vic is the oldest competitor. I thought he fought very well against Mares, against Agbeko he just fought the wrong fight. Now, he says that he wants to change it again and be the agressor. I'm not sure though, if he can do that on a consistent basis. Mares won against him on workrate and Yonnhi, if he is in good shape has a great workrate!
Thats exactly the point though. If there is a fighter in this tourney who has been matched hard in his last few fights, its definetely been Yonnhi. And against Agbeko it clearly showed!
If Perez has recoverd, I pick him to win, but thats no sure thing...

@Ghost
I agree, I wouldnt play that hedge either!

good comments from everybody......

didn`t agbeko out-quick and out-work perez the second time around...he looked a little stiff and slow in that fight.....

a really tough call....too much for me...

g.l. guys...

All small plays for me this weekend:

Yohnny Perez - I thought Vic looked better in defeat last time out. Small wager that Perez returns to old form and is able outbox Vics wild style.

Garrett Wilson - Surprised to see a line on this one. Sheika ko'd Wilson a couple years back. Wilson has now grown into a full 200lb cruiser. I think he should have 10-15 natural pounds on Sheika. If Sheika comes in too heavy, that's not good for him either. Wilson seems to be getting better. A couple good results in last 2 fights, including ko win over Aaron Williams. Small stab that he is able to turn the tables.

Bayan Jargal - Got him at +450, so I felt obliged to take a small shot. Jargal seems to have a good chin. If Prescott can't blow his opponents out of there, he finds himself in grueling struggles. I'd make Prescott about 2 to 1. He may have enough to get by Jargal, but to me the dog is live.

Good luck guys!

Williamson vs. Marrone

Williamson vs. Marrone

Wow, there is a line on this at about even money. Williamson was much better but at 43, he is old and has always been chinny. But Marrone at 25 really isn't much and never will be. Despite age and chin still tip "Touch of Sleep" here but any result wouldn't be a shocker.

Williamson has a few soft spots himself

His temple and his chin

BUT

He is fighting the great white Italian stiff

Bologna Marrone

I don't know, man - this week in boxing looks like one word to me

A rather SLOW week for boxing. The only wager I found to be enticing is the over on Prescott. Prescott can bang a little but hasn't really shown incredible pop (Khan aside) to strike fear in the division. Honestly, Prescott has shown to be a bit ordinary. I THINK this goes rds tonight. 9 1/2 rds would have tempted me but 6 1/2 and 7 1/2 sold me. Hopefully I didn't fall in a trap. My only wager this wkend.

I saw Williamson on the undercard of Spinks-Latimore here in town a few years back. Alot of guys on the board were on him @-300ish and he was fighting a journeyman from Chicago. The fightnews report didn't mention it but he got BUZZED quite a few times in a back and forth fight. I'd never bet on him personally.

On the way to the stage, I am told the Corona girl manhandled both of them out of her way

Not exactly petite is she?

I'm hoping that's the angle of the camera - pretty sub-standard for a ring girl.

Tecate girls > Corona girls.

So, as usual, I am on the other side of popular opinion here.

I think Breidis Prescott is a legit guy and while Jargal is taking action I think he gets pummeled tonight

U7.5 +190 (double pop)
Breidis Prescott Inside Distance +140 (double pop)

Per Fightnews.com

Darchinyan-Perez Gloves

Fightnews.com found out that Yonnhy Perez and Vic Darchinyan will be wearing black Reyes gloves when they step inside the ring at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday night. As most in boxing are aware, Reyes is the puncher?s glove of choice.

The ESPN bouts are delayed tonight on National TV, but ESPN3.com is showing them live.

They have already started the undercard. Andrade is fighting now.

Darchinyan-Perez
Under 9.5 +230 (double pop)
Will Not Go Distance +160 (double pop)

Between Darc claiming he will be in "terminator mode" from the start, he ability to cut and be cut, and now the Reyes gloves, I have all I need to fire
