I agree Romi. Straight away Perez said "no way" before the ref even came into the ring.
he looked kind of like he looked in the second agbeko fight...stiff as a board...no quicks....movement befuddles him...
Dar correctly says that Perez quit and Grey admonishes him :facepalm:.

Looking at replay, Perez appears to shake his head @ the ref in an indication that he didn't want to continue. The doc was going to stop it regardless.

Disappointing week for me. Just a small loss by the numbers, but I was in the sticks for a bit there and didn't catch the line on the Williamson fight. Coulda woulda hit Williamson pretty hard. Don't like missing opportunities like that. Nice call there Evan... Williamson, even at this point, is a solid level above Marrone. An even line would've made me suspicious. I would've pegged Williamson at 3 to 1 or so. Marrone is a trier, but he just ain't got it.
On to bigger weekends.

I haven't seen the fight yet, but reading your guy's round by round thoughts, the following came to mind:
Perez is very good fighter.
He fights for his family, and he fights for money.
Which is fine - lots of boxers have become champions with the same motivations.
But Darchinyan is a little animal - the guy LOVES to fight and would probably do it for free.
I read an article this week (on the sweetscience.com) where Vic happily described how fun it was to spar with Valero. Not many guys would find that so entertaining.
I gotta give it to Vic - he pulled one out I thought he would lose. Guys that truly truly love this sport more than anything else - they seem to be able to shrug the losses off easier and come back WICKED.
Darch is one of those throw backs. Warrior. More power to him.
