Real bummer that Bam Bam Rios and Antillion is off. I heard a rumor that Antillon may still fight, but let's see what happens.

Manuel Quezada (29-5) vs. Jason Gavern (19-7-3)

Funny they are fighting again a month later....Quezada trying to get revenge....if he lost to Gavern the first time, I really don't care what he does this time....this guy will never amount to much....

I don't see a lot of value coming up but these slow weeks have a funny way of developing....I'm waiting for May 15 and the WRATH of KHAN...big money on Khan. Khan to finish several parlays so I now have him at a very good price...good scalp or hedge option avail but I think Khan dominates Mags.

Sam Sexton withdraws from Danny Williams title fight
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/8656949.stm

Heads up for anyone taking Sexton or Williams - fight is off

Sexton's mother suffered a brain aneurysm.

"Sam has been unable to continue his training for the past week and for the foreseeable future until his mother is out of danger," it read.

Chisora is replacement against Danny Williams

What's Paulie's gameplan going to be? Paulie will be forced to be the agressor and he's got 2 brittle pillows to punch with. I believe you need to hurt Khan to beat him and I don't see paulie hurting him. I don't see this ending in 3 as Roach is proclaiming but I do think Khan will out speed, out fight, out muscle and out finesse Paulie enroute to a dominant win. Mags beat a faded and blown up chubby Diaz, barely got by Ngoudgo and Ndou, and was dominated by Hatton. I will be more than surprised to see Mags pull it out. It will have to be the fight of his life to win it. Mags was able to stay with Cotto simply because the ref allowed him to hold everytime he threw a punch. Khan is beatable but Mags doesn't have the style to do it IMHO. I don't particularly like Paulie and I hope it's not clouding my judgement but I just think the guy is all Pizazz with little substance.

Paulie made a totally shot Hatton look reborn....I was shocked how awful Paulie was in that fight

He should thank his lucky stars he ever crossed paths with Juan Diaz....i think the Bull was completely finished by Marquez and Nate C...

I would take that guy Kotelnik over both Juan Diaz and Paulie....

I think Khan wins easy....He is a lot faster than the Baby Bull and he hits much harder than Hatton

I always criticize Golden Boy, but I think they picked the right spot for Amir here...Paulie is a tough kid with some slick moves...but he never could punch, and surprisingly, doesn't take as good a shot as I first thought

Chris Fernandez had Paulie buzzed a few fights back...I imagine Amir might look spectacular in this fight...

I hope we get odds on the Mormeck-Oquendo clash Thursday in France. This is certainly a fight worth a line. Odds having been showing later and later in recent weeks, and if they don't show until Thursday evening, we'll miss it.

Oddessa??

i agree that khan`s people see this as a perfect style match-up(i.e. malignaggi has little power)....but what would worry me is who has khan actually beaten outside of european types?..middle rung european types......who has he beaten period?...

kotelnik?.....that`s his best win...mailgnaggi`s competition level is way...wayyyy above anything khan`s seen...

malignaggi can`t punch...but he`s tough...and this is in n.y....

khan`s been very carefully moved...the maidana pull-out and his resume prove that...

i hope you`re right....he should be able to beat a one dimensional guy like mailgnaggi.....but there`s too many ??? there for me to throw down on khan as a big favorite on enemy turf

if he can whack a durable guy like the guido on his home turf, that`s a nice feather in his cap...

he should be able to walk guido down...just not enough proof there for me..yet.. .....

Bradley/Maidana OFF...Maidanas back is still hurting. Nothing mentioned in the boxingscene article regarding a replacement but I'm pretty certain Alexander will be more than willing to step in. He's been looking for a dance partner right around that time so I don't see why this one can't be made.
