This week I'm big on Williams. Hope he smokes Cintron who is still not a man enough to admit he lost to Martinez.

Next week is huge for me as I have 3 big bets: Khan, Mitchell over Katsidis and Wlodarczsyk.

Regarding Khan, I would bet blindly on him versus anybody his team and Freddie pick for him right now. They are doing more careful matchmaking than Floyd did in last 5 years. I agree with majority here that he does everything better than Paulie. Also, home advantage is not too big here, it's not like Paulie is Portorican.

I agree on the Paulie - New York scenario. MSG is the house that Trinidad and Cotto built - not Malignaggi. He will have a few hundred pizza boys there, but I can't see this being a very big disadvantage for Khan.

However, Khan seems to still be having visa issues. Hope the fight happens.

and regarding your comment on Cintron, old dirty, I hate his Martinez comments as much as you do. I HATE fighters who say "I'm not a judge, the judges saw it a draw, Martinez didn't beat me according to them". OK asshole, whatever.

Bika-Brinkley is cancelled

The IBF Super Middleweight Elimination bout between #2 contender Jesse Brinkley (35-5, 22
KOs) and #4 rated Sakio Bika (28-3-2, 19 KOs) will not take place on May 28th in Quebec. InterBox
received a letter from the IBF early Tuesday morning stating that Brinkley was not able to train
for the last few weeks due to what seems to be a bad flu, and has only been cleared recently by
his doctor to commence training.

I had a big bet on Bika too and on Sam Sexton too:(

The fights are starting to fall apart
the 60 day rule will be in effect at some of the books - if you bet on Sexton, Danny Williams, Bika, or Brinkley the money in straights and parlays will be held for 60 days from the date the fight was supposed to be
REAL bummer

According to boxingscene, Khan will be arriving in NY on Sunday. The way things were going I was thinking this one would get delayed but as of now it's looking like a go :D .

Roberto ?La Amenaza? Garcia equaled the strength record of the San Marcos Fair today. Garcia took four swings at the Tecate Test Your Strength Game, swinging a sledge hammer in front of hundreds of fans. After registering scores of 96, 97 and 99, ?The Amazing? Garcia wound up for the record breaker, scoring the year?s first-ever 100. What followed was even more incredible. The game literally had a seizure ? shimmying and shaking before the screen went black. ?The game gave the fair goers a preview of what my man Roberto Garcia will be doing to Antonio Margarito on Saturday,? stated Eric Brown, who trains Garcia with Freddie Roach.

Not sure what it says about his boxing ability, but he certainly seems like a strong fit guy. He could give hands of stone a tussle?

I see Williams out there anywhere from -500 to -700.
I'm not 100% confident, but I am pretty sure I will finally get to see Cintron get beat up.

This guy has cost me more money than any fighter in my betting history.

I had HUGE money on Sergio Martinez to beat Kermit the Frog (straight and by decision at +300). Cintron got KO'ed and lost 8 or 9 rounds. And magically ended up with a draw.

Then I bet Angulo to wreck Cintron, and Angulo drives across country, picks up a 110 degree fever, and still almost got Kermie out in the last round.

This guy Cintron has taken years off my life. LOL

I heard he is pretty nice guy and does a lot for charities - but I still want to punch him in the nuts. I couldn't believe it when he fought Martinez and came up with that headbutt excuse. The fact that the ref bought the excuse, gave him time to heal, and then restarted the bout after counting to 10 - jesus christ. That was a Valentine's Day massacre I will not forget.

FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY I will get to see someone beat the crap out of Cintron. Not betting huge money, but I am going to throw PWill in a parlay or two. Early rounds should be interesting because Kermit can crack and Paul stands right in the pocket, but at 54 I don't think Cintron can keep up with the work rate and skill of Willams. Cintron's stamina is very questionable.

If Cintron pulls this one out, he truly has signed a deal with the boxing demons. A lot of Cintron supporters say he has never really lost a fight. Well, I can tell you this - Sergio Martinez doesn't pack his gloves with concrete slabs and he knocked Cintron OUT.

I know we have had this discussion before, and the bookies have chimed in with responses on their side, but I wish they could make an amendment, an alteration, to this 60 day rule.

Now we have two fights, Sexton-Williams and Bika-Brinkley, where bets have been taken and they are officially off.

I understand holding bets in situations where the fights may be rescheduled. But here we have two clear cases where the fights are NOT going to be rescheduled. In fact, Williams already has a replacement opponent - he will face Chisora.

I think in cases where the opponent is replaced, the money should be refunded and the bet void. I definitely understand holding for 60 days in a case where the fight will be quickly rescheduled. Those players who got nice early odds would benefit from holding their tickets and deserve to do so.

But in cases where it is very clear THE FIGHT IS OFF, I wish they could release the money. However, I understand the books kind of ignore boxing and its easier for them to just have a general 60 day rule.

Since Williams-Chisora will be fought on the 15th, looks like my money is held up till July 15th. Ugh.

Oquendo should have the upper hand IMO!

But this fight is on Mormecks home turf and I couldnt find any coverage, so there a a lot of intangibles...
