I'm on the Khan bandwagon as well.
The only advantage the Malignaggi has in this fight is durability, but I guess Khans questionable chin wont be a factor in this fight.

"the bunker"
Oquendo should have the upper hand IMO!

But this fight is on Mormecks home turf and I couldnt find any coverage, so there a a lot of intangibles...

if i recall, mormeck`s cardio was ??? at best...can`t imagine the extra weight will help much...

but,this is in france...

btw...i doubt we`ll see this on the net.....i don`t think the french have televisions...

One thing about the Margarito fight is I think it's at 154...

As far as Oquendo and Mormeck....I think if Oquendo doesn't knock him out, he won't get the decision....Mormeck is the promoter of the event....but Mormeck has in iffy chin, so maybe Fres can get him out of there

Neither one of these guys has an atomic bull chin.....

Victoria's Secret
i watched some footage of roberto garcia(i hope it's the right roberto lol)

i don't think he has the stuff to beat margarito

there's some footage of roberto sparring with linares on youtube

margarito opened at -350, seemed like a steal

French TV apparently has the fight listed for 2:30 EST (which is 8:30 pm in France)

I will try to update if I can find a stream tomorrow

I put a small play on Fres. He's the more solid hvy, he's been relatively busy and he hasn't lost in many moons. I thought he got jobbed v Toney. Mormeck struggled with Vinnie Maddalone. That alone has me wagering Fres. This one isn't worth a large amt on either guy but i think Fres can do enough to get the W in France.

There seems to be a lot of love for Williams!!

I would be carefull with this fight, he should win here, but there are some things that I dont like about him.

He gets hit waayy too much. I dont know how many flush power shots he took from Martinez, Margarito etc. He is slurring as well...
I was a little shocked to see him go down in the first round against Maritinez, maybe he has already taken too much punishment...
And on top of that, he already lost to a fighter that I consider inferior to Cintron in Quintana...

Cintron has decent power and boxing ability and he looked a bit sturdier at 154 lbs....

Fres Oquendo - med. (-120) I would have hit this for more, but SB not offering line.   Let's see if they cost or save me money?

I think Fres Oquendo is a good heavy, who has had some tough breaks. He's also in the midst of a solid comeback, looking good and focused in beating second tier guys. As for his past, he's got 5 losses. Way back he clearly beat Chris Byrd and got screwed on the cards. He should have become IBF champ that night. He clearly beat Toney as well. Holyfield was close, but I think he won that too. He was nip and tuck with Ruiz when he got stopped late, and was outboxing Tua when same thing happened... So in my mind Oquendo is undeafeated. :142smilie The argument can be made that Fres come up short in his biggest fight, but Mormeck doesn't fall into the category of these guys.

As for Mormeck, he looked like shit against Maddalone. He's got a lot of miles, and doesn't have they body-type to transition to heavy. He seemed squat and thick at cruiser. I don't see him in the mold of Adamek or Haye at all. Fres will find him small in compare to what he's used to. Mormeck will find Fres very strong. Fight in France doesn't help, but I think this will be a clear win.

Oquendo fight should be in 30 minutes or so (according to tv)

in regards to the Pwill fight, I really think it comes down to speed and stamina

Cintron was never the fastest guy in the world, and he has always started fast and faded late (although he did win a few of the last rounds against Martinez, but that was after a 10 minute break)
:mj07:

He most certainly has the power to hurt Pwill - this is not a sure thing. But I think Wiliams is a lot faster and better conditioned. Kermit's number one enemy is pressure - and Williams will bring a ton of it. Bad matchup for Cintron. He needs to be able to set his shots and control the pace - bot sure Paul will let him do this.
