I watched it yesterday
very tough close fight
i had Cazares up 6 to 3
but Nashiro swept the last 3 rounds and hurt Cazares badly in the last round
I thought draw was a good result
both fighters fought very well
it will be a close fight again
Nashiro pushes forward the whole fight, but Cazares fought very well going backwards and jumping in with quick shots (until the last round where he got jacked up good)
I think it will go the distance again and I think either guy could take this
I go with Nashiro by split
but I think OVER is a good play

Mitchell KO2.... Geez, that was easy.

:00hour :00hour :00hour

Way to go Romi, Ghost Kid, and Brainiac!!!

Hey Romi, ain't heard from Hellephant since.... :142smilie Nice post.

Congrats yourself Brother. I believe you were the 1st on the board to point out that GIFT. That was a Tony Thompson -350 type of gift but better. :toast:

Yeah, go figure Hell's comments...totally uncalled for. I honestly don't have an issue with a single poster here (Thank Punchy for running off that ahole Crow). I don't post at other sites because they are full of egotystical immature douchebags. This site is SOLID. There are no whiners and if there is something to bitch about, we get over it and move on to the next bet. The dec yesterday was BS but to me it's no sweat....small bet...shit happens and it wasn't a shock to anybody here. Good luck tomorrow Bro!

Yes! Anyone's welcome here. I was greeted real well when I came in last year. Hellephant is welcome to post here anytime if he's got something constructive to offer, but that was a pretty ridiculous opening post...not the way to start off making friends.

Hall-Despaigne in 8. Hall's getting outworked, but giving a decent account of himself for a +800 guy. Lightning needs to strike but I'm satisfied with my tiny play on him.

Good luck to you and all tomorrow!!

Y.Despaigne W10 Richard Hall

100-90 across the board, which was accurate. Hall never really challenged, but he wasn't entirely dominated either. He needed to land that haymaker, which didn't come. I thought the Cuban may tire late, but it didn't happen. Despaigne's got some potential for sure.

Other results of note:

Michael Clark W9 Jason Pires
Danny Garcia KO7 Chris Fernandez
Otis Griffin KO8 Byron Mitchell :scared I think some of us saved some bucks on that one...

Also, prosepct Mike Dallas Jr. no longer fighting Joseito Lopez. I knew this fight would not go down. Not enough at stake yet.

Cazares dethrones Nashiro

By Joe Koizumi

Mexican switch-hitter Hugo Cazares (31-6-2, 22 KOs), 115, captured the WBA super-fly belt as he kept throwing more combinations to the less aggressive defending champ Nobuo Nashiro (13-2-1, 8 KOs), 115, to win a unanimous decision over twelve heats on Saturday in Osaka, Japan. The official tallies were as follows: Raul Caiz Sr. and Glenn Feldman (both US) both 117-111, and Stanley Christodoulou (South Africa) 115-113, all for the 32-year-old Mexican veteran who thus gained his second world belt to his credit. The referee was Russell Mora (US), who described this fight as the hardest toe-to-toe combat he had ever officiated. In eight days Mexicans, Fernando Montiel and Cazares, impressively dethroned our world titlists to show their strength. (More to come)
