A last minute scratch from the card was an interesting ten-round heavyweight rematch between Jason Gavern (19-7-3, 8 KOs) of Kissimmee, Florida and Manuel Quezada (29-5, 18 KOs) of Wasco, California. Gavern scored a minor upset over the world ranked Quezada last month, claiming the regional WBC CABOFE Heavyweight title with the decision victory. According to Gavern, who was present at the weigh-in, Quezada pulled out just an hour prior.

Paulie really seems to believe he's going to own Khan. But I don't see a way for Paulie to do it. Khan is fast, with long straight punches. The brash Brooklynite doesn't really hold any cards in this one.

Roberto Garcia means business

Roberto Garcia means business

Roberto Garcia:

"I think it?s going to be a good fight. We both want it. I know I want it bad because, God-willing, after I beat Margarito, the plan we have to beat him, after that, the whole world is going to know who I am. I?m tired of being a secret," said Garcia, who said he planned to bring the fight right to Margarito. "I?m going to be all I can be. My heart is going to stay in that ring because my whole life depends on this fight. Everything.

"The only difference between me and Margarito is that he?s eaten. I haven?t eaten, man."

Paulie talked mad shit before the Hatton fight and he had me COMPLETELY fooled. I was sure he was going to box circles around Ricky (who was coming off the awful Lazcano performance). I had Paulie by 12 round decision +400 and I thought it was stealing money.

But it was all rubbish. Hatton crushed him. Now he is facing a guy bigger, stronger faster. This ain't Juan Diaz in there. At this point, Juan Diaz is a punching bag. Khan, I think, is going to beat the piss and shit out of Paulie.

I don't buy it. I honestly think Paulie is just psyching himself up to believe he can do it. Paulie saying he's going to put Khan to sleep??? Who the fvck has Paulie ever put to sleep except the viewers at home watching? Deep down he questions himself. Graham has often referred to his old friend saying that talkers lose and to some degree, I believe that. Most talkers have insecurities and they need it to hide their fear. I honestly believe Paulie falls in that category. IMHO, I think he's exuding fear rather than true confidence. Vinnie Paz was the king of trash talkers and every time he got his ass kicked, he came up with some lame brained excuse:

Rog Mayweather-"He had his best night and I had my worst"

Camacho-"I had a bad night"

RJ- "I drank to much coffee before the fight"

Garza-"I almost died trying to lose weight"

Davis-"that wasn't the real Vinnie in there and he was lucky it wasn't"

After Paulie loses, he'll say he doesn't have it anymore when it truth, he never really had it to begin with. Just my .02...actually I think I threw about a 1.50 into those comments :142smilie

Which guy is most worthy of the chalk tonight fellas?

Antonio Margarito -700
Jorge Solis -450
Paul Williams -700

if it were me I would take Solis
some people give Santiago a chance
but I don't
Solis is a stud
dude has only truly lost to Pacquiao
I doubt Santiago can f with him
just this man's opinion

With Williams punch volume/work rate , I was thinking Cintron inside his only real chance.....

anybody got a link from Mexico for the cheap guys...por favor???

Urbanno Antilon off the radar since his fight with Rios was cancelled. Don't know much about his opponent but if the guy gets out of the early rds, could be a tough fight for urbano. Don't understand why they are putting him in so tough on such short notice w/the replacement:shrug:
