No plaster that I know of
but he does get to enter the ring with his gigantic dome.....the biggest head on earth.....

I would have to watch the shane fight again....but i am one of the few who scored that a draw....or a shane win...I thought cotto was VERY fortunate to get the decision against mosley

he TOTALLY ran out the clock the last two rounds

I have a feeling the Palacios-Ramirez result is going to be tough to find later tonight
105 pound title on TV only in Mexico
Hopefully notifight has a reporter there
otherwise it could the awhile before we know

I gotta think Palacios is too much for Ramirez
Here are the weights:

WBC interim strawweight clash between the Mexican Eric Ramirez and the Nicaraguan champion Juan Palacios on Saturday in Distrito Federal, Mexico. Both boxers are in good condition and set to enter the ring of the 8,000-seat Centro Banamex in a bout televised by Televisa.
Juan Palacios 105 vs Erik Ram?rez 105
(WBC interim strawweight world title)
Ana Mar?a Torres 115 vs Usanakorn Kokietgym 115
WBC female super flyweight world title)

who are you taking Mayo?

Haven't bet it to be honest. I don't think Cotto is a good bet though. His fight against jennings meant nothing. This is his first real fight back against a pretty good fighter. If Margarito didn't ruin Cotto I think stylewise he wins a dec, but the line on Clottey is to high IMO. Don't have a real strong feel for the fight 1 way or another. Sorry for the generic answer but no real feel for this fight.

"the bunker"
i was surprised that the odds were this high....i think cotto`s all around the better fighter...hits harder...better boxer....better legs....more multi-faceted....can change strategy in mid-fight...

but, clottey is physically strong and durable...and if you don`t prepare for that peek-a-boo defense( even though he`s one dimensional),he can be a frustrating guy to fight....what he does,he does very well...

nobody knows what,if anything, margarito took out of cotto...

i suspect, balls to the wall, that cotto decisions clottey...it won`t be easy,though...i just don`t think that clttey has the power to make cotto wilt...

certainly don`t begrudge anybody taking those odds,though...

Not a generic answer at all. It's essentially my take on the fight. +280 to 300 is good value for a top A quality fighter like Clottey over somebody that MAY be damaged goods. I'd be very shocked to see Cotto blast out Clot early but I wouldn't be so shocked if Cotto got hurt and stopped at any given pt in the fight. Not implying thats going to happen but if Cotto gets hurt like he has in previous fights, I think Clot will finish him. If Cotto still has the goods then he should win a dec 116-113 variety. I'm uncertain as well on the outcome but I am positive it's going to be a good fight.

I guess i will sit this one out and if Clottey wins just kick myself in the ass. Last 5 or ten post all have the same thoughts as me. No need to push anything

Calderon keeps belt with tech draw

WBO mini flyweight champion Ivan Calderon (32-0-1, 6 KOs) and challenger Rodel Mayol (25-3-1, 19 KOs) fought to a six round technical draw. The fight was stopped due to a cut from an accidental headbutt in the sixth round. Judges scored the fight 58-56 Calderon, 58-56 Mayol, 57-57. Earlier, an accidental clash of heads in round four opened up a cut on Calderon?s forehead. Two more headbutts in the fifth worsened the cut. In the sixth round the cut reopened from either a punch or another butt (unclear) and doctors advised to stop the fight at 1:50 in the sixth round. Under WBO rules the fight goes to the scorecards (including the sixth round).

Line are dropping a little bit on Cotto. You can get him for -300 right now. I may buy back a little bit by fight time. I have an even 1 k on it.

I hedged on cotto by dec -105 for a few hundred. I'm attempting to protect my winnings and not lose this week. As long as Cotto doesnt stop clottey, I'll win money on the week. A ClotteyJ win will make it an excellent wk. Just a few mins away!!!! THIS ONE IS GOING TO BE GOOD!!!!

just turned on HBO , showed the guys hitting the mitts in warmups and there was Clottey- slapping with his left hook , cripes, at this level shouldn't a decent trainer prevent his fighter from slapping with the left hook....unless he has to because of hand issues.
