This fight card should be fun.

This fight card should be fun.

At The Oracle Arena, Oakland, CA

Andre Ward (22-0) vs. Allan Green (29-2)
Tony Thompson (34-2) vs. Friday Ahunanya (24-6-3)

Kendall Holt (25-4) vs. Jesse Feliciano (15-9-3)

I will be attending this fight. The lower deck tickets are only $35, so I couldn't resist. I'm not really a fan of Andre Ward but he is getting a little more exciting to watch. Green is kinda egotistical, but he can bang when his colon is healthy. Also, the undercard has familiar boxers that are decently matched and could make for good fights. Although, Thompson will probably dominate Friday with that long reaching jab of his, but Holt is always exciting to watch especially matched with Feliciano who will give a good effort everytime. :D

Have fun at the fights matt !
I have never been a huge Ward fan, but I will be his NUMBER 1 LOUDEST SUPPORTER Saturday night.

I can't stand Allan Green. He's right up there with Cintron for me. I really hope Ward smacks this guy silly.

Heard Tony Thompson (34-2) vs. Friday Ahunanya (24-6-3)
is off due to Thompson injury.
Of course I found that out only after I put a big bet on Thompson.

Can anybody confirm that Thompson is off. I haven't seen it anywhere and boxrec still has it listed...I assuming it's off though if ODF said he read it.

Timur 'should' win

Timur 'should' win

I think an in shape Timur out boxes aged Atomic Bull tonight in Florida. McCall probably house guy but Timur good enough to win on points. Also, McCall hasn't been 246 in 3 years. Although a dodgy decision would not surprise.

I don't know who will win this fight, but I set the OVER in the bout at

11.5 rounds
minus 100000000

I'm going to take the bait. Not a big wager but -200 is doable. McCall is 45, recently arrested, involved in countless strange instances regarding drug use over 2 decades. Yes he has an iron chin and hugely underappreciated skills but his mental state is fragile and he's one of the top underachievers in hvy history. ANYTHING can happen in a McCall fight. Timur is a fringe contender at best but he has height, speed and youth advants and to my knowledge he doesn't have a propensity for using crack. He should be able to box and move for 12 rds enroute to a dec win.

I never did see the bizarre crying incident until now

Timur absolutely SHOULD win. He is 10 year younger with more than half of the pro fights. McCall has been boxing as a pro for 25 years as opposed to 11 of Timur. The 12 round fight shoud help Timur because he is younger and should have better stamina, but Timur has never shown good energy after 7 rounds. Also, Timur has a good chin, slow feet, holds alot, low punch volume, and little if any punching power. On the other hand, McCall hasn't shown his power in 3-4 years and has been plaged by nagging injuries. One thing that could help McCall is that he has been training the youngbloods at the Heavyweight factory and this could give him extra motivation to perform well. I just cant call this one; both guys are so limited that I don't see a real edge here (50/50 fight). I do think this will go slowly to 12, unless McCall lands an unlikely perfect punch.:D

Compare the main undercard fighters
Henry Fuentes (230-1/4 lb.) & Deuily Aristilde (222-3/4 lb.)

Looks are deceiving, but Fuentes looks like he could take McCall and Timur in one night !
