Ron Artest just thanked his psychiatrist in the post game interview.
:142smilie :142smilie :142smilie

Unreal.

This guy should have been a pro boxer.

:142smilie :142smilie

Artest would probably be a damn good boxer. He's one tough muddafuka.

Lines???? I think there's alot of difficult to cap match-ups this week, and no linesmaker wants to be the first one to put em out there.

I agree with you matt! Ward should be able to win in mid-late rounds, I am on it too including some nice DCs =)

In addition I spend some bugs on a Draw I don t think it will happen but at +12500 and even higher odds, worth a few $.

Cheers

5d offering a line on an eight-rounder from Nicaragua next Sat. between Orlando Rizo (8-1) vs. Rene Alvarado (9-0)??? I love it, and would like to see alot more mid-level type fights offered, but I just can't figure it out? How certain fights are offered and other ignored?

I don't think this fight would've even made your schedule Ghost. I heard of almost everyone, but I ain't never heard of these two. A quick schedule scan shows that Alvarado looks to be a good prospect.

Happy to have the lines we do this week. On a different week, most of these could have been ignored.

Weekend Plays

Weekend Plays

I've got five medium type picks this week. I'll list them in order of strongest first.

Juanito Rubillar (+135) Check out Graham's column. I agree with pretty much everything he said except the winner. I don't think Budler's people wanted this fight. Budler was outclassed last time. I don't think Budler will be able to close that gap so quickly, and I don't think Rubillar will get overtly screwed a second time.

Chilemba-Bolling OVER 9.5 (-120) Neither fighter has ever been ko'd. Chilemba has been 12 rounds 3 times in a row. Bolling has a high ko %, but he seems a wear'em down type. Should be a good, evenly matched fight.

Rodel Mayol (-150) Hard to be certain about anything when Mayol fights. Last time against Romero though, he seemed to be establishing himself early. Mayol was bigger, strong, and faster.

Michael Bolling (+180) I had this one pegged about even, so I like the plus number. I get the sense that Bolling might be a bit special, we'll see. Chilemba good, but maybe he lacks that killer instinct just a bit. Alot of unknowns here. Should be a good fight.

Edren Dapudong (+300) Playing the odds a bit smaller here. We don't know how good Dapudong is, but reports out of Philippines mark him as a good prospect. We know the pinoy's are ususally tough. Jimenez on a current win streak, but there has been some vulerability in the past. KO by Francisco Arce doesn't look so good.

One glaring thing is that I have wagered on all 'away' fighters here. I can feel Weasel shaking his finger at me now, but I like these match-ups. I'll be kicking myself if it goes bad, we'll see...

Wow... It's me or you Andrey. All of these are tough to choose, no doubt. I wish I could wish you good luck, but you know...

Can you give me a little feedback about why you like the other guys? Thanks mon! :toast:

I don't know who will win the fight, but I know Mayol and Romero are both cheating lil fukers.

Between the two of them, 5 straight fights ended on fouls, headbutts, low blows, punching on the break, complaining to the referee, steroid abuse

My guess is that Mayol is probably winning the fight when he headbutts the Mexican and they DQ him

the guy uses his skull as a battering ram

Calderon made it 12 rounds just fine last Saturday...those cuts are easier to take care of when a guy isn't SLAMMING you in the face with his noggin

Look at this lil bastard's record....4 out of his last 5 fights technical decisions...and the fifth one? An inexplicable win for the title where he literally SMASHED EDGAR SOSA'S CHEEKBONE TO BITS with his head.

This guy might be the dirtiest fighter I've ever seen...Lil Golota

Ok I'll try, here is your picks
Juanito Rubillar (+135) I read about first fight that it was close. Rubillar swing wildly and miss and Hekkie Budler landed clean shots but not too many. I did not see fight but I think young green guy should do better in rematch.

Chilemba-Bolling OVER 9.5 (-120) I like this bet

Rodel Mayol (-150) I score first fight 2 to 1 in favour of Romero. Mayol was very uncomfortably with body shots in 3 round. Plus Mayol was heavily KO'd. He might not be the same fighter anymore.

Michael Bolling (+180) I think Bolling fought no one like Chilembe. Bolling KO Oganov but Oganov and Chilembe totally different fighters. So I have to go with Chilembe by decision. And fight not in Australia.

Edren Dapudong (+300) Well, this one maybe good play but I would go with Jimenez too, just based on records.

Thanks Andrey, much appreciated, and you make some very valid points. We just don't know that much about Chilemba or Bolling. Basically a crapshoot, so homefield advantage is definitely a big plus here. Also a good point about the heavy KO as suffered by Mayol, and what short time the fight lasted makes it difficult to tell who the superior fighter was. :)

BJ Flores tells Brian Kenney he has heard rumors of a cruiserweight super six, and he's looking forward to the "six best cruisers getting it on for the fans".
Pointing to himself as he speaks.

He can't possibly think he is one of the six best cruisers in the world. Can he?

Thanks Ghost! I made the bet more because of Ravelo's chin than the Ruskies power. I know Ravleo only took the fight on one week's notice but, Ravelo might want to look for a different occupation. The Ruskie looked decent, but he is still very green and Ravelo couldn't avoid any shots.

I will be rooting for SOG Ward at the fight too because of my action. With any luck, he will put forth a more offensive effort and wear down Green late and finish what Miranda started. :D

Good Luck Saturday!
