i always liked henry.....difficult guy to fight....consistent except for the lewis meltdown....

..yeah,he`s 41...yeah,it`s in germany.....but a split decision the first time around?...maybe henry can make a few adjustments....

+275?......

a small throwaway?....worth thinkin` about...

in germany its a play but it is in russia prefight to potevkin vs donald

donald is pretty high at 750.

thanks,my friend..glad you`re here...and i would suggest that the rest of the guys in the forum pay attention to your european plays.....you`ve made me some significant cabbage during our time together...

on hatton... .this is at 140...not 147(which is a bridge to far for ricky)....7 pounds is quite a jump...so,he`s at his optimal weight...

i have ricky "ahead after 3 rounds"in a parlay...expect his quickness and work rate to give castillo problems early...

i do expect a hatton win..most likely a decision...but i expect castillo,if he works the body early,to come on and be very dangerous late.....

still,i think ricky should be capable of getting the nod...

it will be very intersting to see how ricky handles a guy that gets stronger as the fight goes on....theres some serious risk here,imo...

i hope he wins...i have much respect for a guy that comes to the u.s. to fight big fights...he`s what boxing should be about...he could have stayed safe and cozy in manchester....didn`t have to come here...

but, from what i`ve read,he`ll have a load of fans at this fight...

i respect hatton`s sac...as they say,he`s got alotta "bottle"....

g.l.,bro...

Castillo: I'm not finished!
By Karl Freitag

"I'm not even anywhere near finished," says Jose Luis Castillo who has been reading about how some reporters think he might be on the downside of his career. "The last two fights that I had, I really didn't train well for them. I wasn't prepared for them like I should have been. But for this one I am because I know it opens a lot of doors and will lead me right back to where I was....styles make fights and our styles should match up really well. It should be a really good fight." Castillo looks to be in tremendous condition, having trained for this fight with Romulo Quirarte in Tijuana instead of going to the Otome Mountains.

Its Hatton's weight class, but Castillo looks like the bigger guy here...

what is your feeling on the over / under rounds in the Wladamir / Lamon fight coming up ?

I cant see why you think Wladamir isnt going to be knocked out colder than a cucumber.
my feeling is that if there is a knockout it will probably be in the first five rounds. And lets face it these boys are bombers of the first kind.

so the under 8.5 rds or is it going to be pitty pat holding the whole fight ? Maybe like a 12 round waltz with Matilda.

Any help appreciated.

See you at the cash window. Oh I forgot you and arma,.,. will both not be there. :142smilie

Is that rude ......ok sorry then.

the possibility that castillo`s relentless pressure may wilt hatton late was not lost on me...that`s why i hedged a bit with castillo inside the distance at almost 5-1....also taking into account ricky`s fair skin and potential to cut and break up....

i hear you,brother...

Cantatore won by majority decision...116-114 twice...the fight was in Italy so based on the scorecards Gurov won easily but got hosed

Martinez got some help from the ref for a premature stoppage in the 3rd round

Good capping so far...but bad results due to politics...oh well thats boxing

I'll get back to you on the Over/Under

For now I'll just say that Brewster's power is over rated, and at 34 yrs old he'll be coming off a 16 month layoff.
In the first fight, it was Klitschko's exhaustion that ko'd him, not Brewster's power. If you watch the fight, its quite obvious.

There's a reason Klitschko wanted this fight, he didn't have to take it at all, he wanted to...

box...it`s not your night,man....

i`ve seen alot of fights...and i can tell you without hesitation, that gutierrez carried his opponent..

he could have taken perez out at any time....

those wide punches...so slow....

i hate to say it,but i wouldn`t be surprised if gutierrez made some jack on the over in this one....

maybe i`m out there...but it seemed obvious to me....

or maybe he hurt both hands?...or maybe they`re related....

................................................................

I have seen the fight five times. What I take from the fight is that it wasn't exhaustion that affected Wladimir, it was a few strong left hooks to the head by Brewster. Wladamir was dazed and hurt. He was ripe for the picking like a apple on a tree.

Brewster moved inside and hurt him. In order for Wladamir to get off his big shots, he had to bang inside and that was a mistake.

Unless you think that Don King or someone is making this a shady advantage for the Russian ,

I just think Brewster is going to make Wladamir feel the pain again. Wladamir gets squirrley if you even graze his chin.

I like :

- Hatton big

- under 11 and 1/2 at + 200 (i cover my ass if Castillo gets lucky but also give Hatton a shot at a late round stoppage)

- Forrest at plus 158 (thats crazy and he opened even higher, Forrest will win a pretty wide dec, it will be hit and run ) i would make Forrest the fav in this one plus Boldomir is 36 and moving up.

- Mercer at plus 170. I cant resist but 241 is an okay weight for the oldtimer.
All he needs is one good shot and if Kimbo is not going for the take down asap i see no way that he will not land it.
If Kimbo is doing his thing and fights like he always does he goes down fast.
Skills and Talent of an old man will be too much for internet hype. No worry about judges in this one either.
Never fought infront of big crowd, bad stamina.
Its gonna be fun to watch whilel it last.
If Kimbo takes him down and beats him on the ground all the power to him but i dont believe in MMA crash courses.

sylvester via dec at +379 is a nice dog. if he is on the feet when the bell rings he has a good chance to get the nod. but probably gets stopped again but at this price it is worth a shot.

i don`t think hatton/castillo will be a scintillating fight,unfortunately...i expect alot of clinching, wrestling and possible some dirty fighting.......i think it could get downright nasty...

still,it`s a compelling match-up....

i think they`re only showing the one fight,though.......
