Someone on Eastside posted that Bienias TKO12 Paris. Obviously it is not confirmed but I hope it is true.

Usually the guy's on eastside are trustworthy
I remember they posted the Moreno-Sidorenko result a few months back before anyone else had it
Congrats Andrey! Good job Bienas backers!

Thanks Ghost! Sorry for not posting this pick before event.

I thought Bienas would win this fight
but I decided to bet on Travis Walker instead
stupid me

So for the crew tonight
it looks like we are cheering for both Vasquez guys
Vasquez and the Over in the Prescott fight
and Vasquez Jr. and the Under in the Santos fight
:toast:

From fightnews weigh-in it looks like Francisco Sierra is taking on some scrub named Rene Fernandez and NOT Rigoberto Alvarez. Anyone know the deal?

I saw this and was wondering the same thing
Remember a few weeks ago when the Jaro-Hernandez fight never happened?

The aggravating thing about the Mexican cards is, not only do fights get called off last minute, but nobody knows how, when, or why.

from Rafael's notebook today.
Golden Boy not only won't reveal the weight for the Mayweather-Marquez fight, now Oscar is using the mystery to hype the fight:

"Then there is the debate about the weight. Even though some outlets reported it as a 143-pound fight and sources directly involved in the fight told ESPN.com it was 144, Mayweather isn't saying.

Schaefer, who won't publicly discuss the weight so as not to damage the fragile business relationship he has forged with Mayweather, added, "It will be the most covered weigh-in ever because everybody wants to know what the weight is. So make sure you don't miss it!"

Marquez, who has never been heavier than 135 pounds for a fight, toed the party line when asked about the weight.

"There is an agreement between us, and the fight's a welterweight fight," he said. "Anything over 140 pounds is considered welterweight. This is a welterweight fight and we'll see come weigh-in day."

Golden Boy boss Oscar De La Hoya followed Schaefer's lead, using the weight question as a way to hype a fight many view as a Mayweather rout.

"Everybody wants to know what the weight is," he said. "Well, I think the whole world is going to be tuning in and making an event itself on what the weight is, and you can watch Friday night [Sept. 18] on what both fighters are going to be weighing."

WOW....Schaefer and De La Hoya...giving more reasons to hate Golden Boy....they have just pissed in the face of boxing fans every day this week...."Buy the PPV and we will tell you the weight limit!"...straight dicks.....

Just got the news :00hour. Not a huge play but still got a few bucks and a little redemption after last nights snaffu. Congrats all Vasquez backers! That was a nice doggy play. I only took the over but no complaints.

Talk about a guaranteed over. The two were so akward they cliched half the fight and neither could find their punching range. Wasn't impressed by either fighter. Hard fight to watch.

Also, I could not believe Teddy and Joe using the word "masterful" when talking about Miguel Vasquez. No offense he won, but it was far far far from masterful. The guy could barely land two punches in a row. Masterful??? :jerkit:

I agree
I am happy with the decision
but the fight way complete crap
and teddy's scorecard was way off
it was a close fight

Glad it is not just me who saw the fight the same. I swear Teddy will load up his scorecard for the underdog if he thinks the judges might have it the other way just to create controversy.

Btw nice pick of the Vasquez Jr. Under :thumb:

Good Luck tomorrow Ghost Kid!

Good luck to you as well matt
tomorrow I am going to take:

HALL
I was going to stay away from this one. But I love what I am hearing from Hall. I think he is focused, and the other cat is running his mouth like Mayorga. I loved that staredown today. Small barking and barking (while backing up the whole time), and Hall just staring through him. I think Hall is gonna wreck him.

LEBEDEV
Not recommending anyone follow this strongly. But Afolabi won me a lot of money - I got to fade Enzo again here. The Russian is undefeated and may be able to KO Mac into retirement.

My feelings on Khan-Kotelnik are as follows. At even I lean toward Khan. I think he has the speed and power to hurt Kotelnik - and possibly be the first to stop the Ukrainian.

But the odds are just so out of whack now. I don't feel comfortable laying the price on Amir in a fight this close.

I am going to take a small shot on Kotelnik ITD. +300. I already lost on one china chin this week - Travis Walker. I will not be surprised if Khan wins, but I think the KO prop holds value here for the defending champ.

This is a pretty decent card. And I think Cleverly-McCintosh is on ITV4 before the PPV card starts. Eyes of the boxing world focused on the UK tomorrow!

Picking Three Unders Tomorrow:

1) Hall Vs Small Under 8.5-115- Large
Hall is coming right at Small and from the films I watched Small does let his opponents come in without paying a price. Small's copycat Mayweather defense with the left hand low is begging for a right hand over the top from Hall. This fight is going to be a brawl and the Manchester Mauler will be the bully.

2) Lebedev Vs Enzo Under 7.5-120- Small
Either Enzo gets koed again because of his willingness to carelessly brawl at any moment or because Lebedev, who used to be a light heavy, is too small and inexperienced for Enzo.

3) Khan Vs Kotelnik Under 9.5 +200- Medium
I see Khan with his blinding speed and power bring the full package tonight with his inside out footwork to frustrated the slow but accurate punching Kotelnik. Khan will wear don't Kotelnik to the point of knockout and even then Kotelnik could still land a knockout punch of Khan?s suspect chin. This should be a great fight. One this Khan is much better at than before as he showed on the Barrera fight; now he brings his gloves right back to defend his chin after he throws his combinations.

This should be a great card! Good Luck Guys!
