well.. the judges did at least score 1 rd even for Peter Mitrevski in the bout.... so maybe he had slightly better than a 'punchers chance' i suppose..with Edwards reffing as opposed to Barrovecchio...lol

yeah
that Italian referee was a complete joke
as Paulie stated, the end of the first round, Yuri scores a knockdown, ref proceeds to hold and push Yuri away for about 10 seconds....several pushes.....and Yuri had already gone to neutral corner....and despite what Hatton said after the bout, he was def hurt.....really changed course of bout.....Marlon B Wrong moment....

I have no issue with Hatton getting the nod. Perhaps he "earned" it. The fact is, the overall scoring was attrocious and the blatantly biased help on the part of the ref is borderline criminal. Even Boxingscene said Hatton was lucky to survive the 1st rd and he had help from the ref. That bullsht is inexcusable. Yuriy may very well have taken him out.

Leave It In The Ring Radio
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/leave-it-in-the-ring

guys....go to 30 minutes into this show and listen to Lundy....this guy is DELUSIONAL....among the highlights:

-says it was an early stoppage and he wasn't hurt at all

-says he is undefeated still and has given every fighter he ever faced a boxing lesson

-says Dan Goosen came to his locker room after the fight and told him it was a robbery, you beat Molina's ass, it was a terrible stoppage (which makes no sense because Goosen promotes Molina)

-says he asked Goosen for a rematch but was told by him "no way man....you are too dangerous a fighter"

-says he would rather the ref let him die and be KO'ed cold than rob him because "he is a man"

-says Molina is still a dumb fighter

:mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

most obnoxious fighter today....easy.......

Scoring in title fights in the UK

Scoring in title fights in the UK

Guys at Boxrec had it split and VERY close. FVCK these biased ASSHOLE judges. It was a small play but Yuri needed a ko going in to get a W over there. I have all the respect in the world for Graham but I have to disagree with his take on the judging in England. IMO, it's incredibly biased towards the house fighter. I didn't watch the fight but if you are betting on the visitor, he damn well better beat the living sht out of the hometown guy. Hatton is going to get raped IF?WHEN he ever steps it up.

Hmmmm ... Well of course there are three neutral judges for world and European title bouts in the U.K. ... Seeing as you mention me by name Romi, do these fights sound familiar: Branco-Robin Reid, Malinga-Nigel Benn; Beyer-Woodhall; Manuel Medina-Scott Harrison; Bouziane-Napa; Maludrottu-Damaen Kelly? ... All were world or Euro title fights in the U.K. where the visiting boxer got the decision ... Lovemore Ndou seemed quite lucky to get a draw with M. Hatton in the U.K. ... The judges had Kiko Martinez one round on one card from getting a draw in the first bout with Rendall Munroe in a fight that Munroe surely dominated ... Across the Irish Sea in Dublin all three judges had Ricardo Cordoba WELL ahead after 10 rounds against Bernard Dunne but of course the Panamanian guy got caught and knocked out in the 11th ... I guess I am missing something? ... When I think of really bad decisions in title bouts I think of, say, Lewis-Holyfield I; Santa Cruz-Casamayor; Cintron-Sergio Martinez; Whitaker-Chavez and the Campillo-Shumenov rematch, just a few fights that come to mind, off the top of my head -- and all of these bouts took place in the U.S. ... Not a Britain vs U.S. issue, just the facts as Joe Friday used to say in the day.

I certainly didn't mean any ofense Graham but I know you have touched on the subject several times. I'm not implying in the least that the US is guilt free. We most certainly are not. There are attrocious decs all over. I'm also not implying that a guy can't get a fair shake in Britain either. He most certainly can. It just seems like time and time again the cards are stacked against the visiting fighter there. On this site alone it seems that it's common place to report a fighter getting a raw deal by the ref and or judges particularly in Germany, France and England. Would you not agree that the cards today showed a bias towards the home guy? The ref aiding Hatton after the kd was inexcusable. I have nothing against the Eurpoeans but these eyes have seen some rather dubious decs. Peace.
