I honestly don't understand why the love fest for Maragrito. Heart only takes you so far when you leave yourself open like he does. I wonder if this was a pickem all you guys would still be taken Margarito. Im with Tony here. This might be over quick.

why do i love ya`,spongy?....the way you abuse me....

it looks like McGirt won, especially in NY, but ill bet against Jr in nearly every fight. The guy is a highlight-reel knockout waiting to happen. Either sr sucks or jr just wont listen, his chin is up way too high throughough, especially moving backwards, and he has no ring generalship.

99-89?

at least i know i would have lost my joval bet regardless of what happened in the ring. theres no 'what ifs', they mustve mailed in the scorecards last week.

congrats to those who took mcgirt jr in the openers, i believe you did ghost and boxlox, that was the smart play. i made a terrible play on joval -160 and scrambled this morning to toss jr into several parlays to lower the odds.

lots of animosity in this thread! ill lay off the 'make a joke at sponge's expense' bandwagon, im cool with you buddy. lol.

regarding 'the man', i wonder if the criticism is based on the fact that he charges for picks. 30$/month is peanuts for serious bettors. following him ive won more than ive lost and his insights are very good. i dont think anyone was implying he is on another level compared to the 'free' cappers. one of my favourite columnists is tim starks of mvn.com who rarely mentions betting lines, but still makes great picks. we'd be fools to value ego over money and not listen to valuable insight just out of spite.

and i agree, Ghost Kid has brought great insight here in his short time, i hope he becomes a regular.

and thanks for the recognition weepaul!

Congrats to all the McGirt backers.

I lost about 200$ on Joval. He really showed his age tonight (his inactivity helped, no doubt). Even though Jr. fought a semi-smart fight tonight (the first few rounds anyways) I think this win signifies Joval's decline more than McGirts boxing ability.

A win is a win though. Good job guys

you haven`t seen how he abuses me, n.j....things like,"weasel is to me what worms are to a fisherman".....

and,"what do weasel and a ballpeen hammer have in common?"

"they`re both useful tools"....

he says he`s only mean to me because he likes me...he calls it,"tough love".....

don`t feel sorry for spongy...he`s a tyrant...

:nono:

Sponge is one of my favorite characters around here, anything negative I say about him is either sarcastic or just bustin' his balls

I put down a good sized wager on Antonio Diaz to beat Felix Flores at +125.

I have a feeling that Diaz is the type of fighter who had to take a couple of years off to reinvigorate himself.
This was not worth the near heart attack. I had Flores ahead until the last 2 rounds when Diaz dug deep.:scared

Majority decision win for Diaz in a fight that could have gone either way.

I never understood why Tony was so impressed with "the man" just b/c he liked Thompson over Krasniqi. I remember the week perfectly, gardenweasel and I both posted that we were on Thompson, but Tony comes in a few days later saying he finally found someone who likes Thompson. I guess he either missed our posts or he doesn't think very highly of me. I know he likes weasel and trusts his judgement, but he sure didn't show it that week...lol

That being said, Tony is a great boxing brain and a class act, I just didn't understand why he had to outsource on that fight when the play on Thompson was posted here from the start

gl bl

I bet Thompson by decision and backed him by ko in every round from round 7 on @+6600!

Man, was I pissed... ;-)
