I just played the Vargas-Mayorga Under 9.5 -150

No, I'm not buying into all the drama at the press conference or the promises made by both fighters in the televised interview last weekend.

Mayorga's aggressive style will leave him open to big counters early in the fight, it will also force a fast pace that will have both of them exhausted by the mid rounds. Mayorga has never trained properly and Vargas has to lose a ton of weight for this one

I don't think Vargas carries the same power he did 5 years ago, but he's the naturally bigger guy here and he can break Mayorga down if he goes to the body early and often. Mayorga has a great chin, but he can't take body shots...period

On the other hand, Vargas' chin is not exactly solid, and Mayorga can definitly bang. If he hits Vargas with the same uppercut he landed on DLH, the fight is over. I think Vargas is fragile mentaly and physicaly at this point in his career. If Mosley can stop him with a single punch, Mayorga can definitly stop him

Given Mayorga's style, there's also a good chance of a headbutt/cut or a DQ ending this fight early.

Right now I'm risking .45 to win .30, but I might add more later

I'm starting to really like Haye over Mormeck, I loaded up on Haye at +130 and I'm thinking about adding a little more at +110.

The kicker here is...how smart is team Haye?

These guys are watching tapes on Mormeck's last few fights and its quite obvious that taking him into the later rounds is the best way to beat him. Mormeck is 35 years old and muscle bound, his stamina is not getting any better. I don't care if Haye rope-a-dopes the old man or uses his 3" height advantage to box and stay out of range while Mormeck goes for the kill early. All I know is...if Haye can find a way to make it out of the first 6 rounds...he'll stop Mormeck late in the fight for sure.

Btw, Mormeck's last performance against Bell was absolutely pathetic, he was exhausted for last 6 rounds and out on his feet several times. If Bell wasn't a lazy, passive, lethargic, undertraining, underachieving, slacker...he would've finished him off

....

....

I will play devils advocate a bit. Mormeck is good for 8 rounds and pressures and lands a lot in those rounds. Haye don't like pressure and his defense is not all that great. Fragomeni is basically a generic version of Mormeck and he had some success. He landed some good shots, and cut the hell out of Haye. Never hurt him but Fragomeni can't punch a lick. On ther other hand if the fight gets later and Mormeck goes all out like normal he could get stopped. Haye is not a good enough pure boxer to just outbox mormeck early though.

I really like the over on Mora vs. Ouma, maybe a little sidebet on a draw.

Haye run out of gas against Thompson too, and his defence is anything but tight.

I still think he will win...

Larsen vs. Hamdan
Larsen should be a very sure winner and could be included in some parlays.

Vargas vs. Mayorga
Two guys who have been ruined by Tito.
I dont dare to pick either one, but this fight should end before the 10th round.

I agree with a lot of what you say here box but this Mayorga you just never know what you are gonna get. In that interview last week he looked fat as hell facially. Looks like he is dabbing in the roids also with all those pimples on his face. I think if this was a straight up fight with two guys that trained for it, i would give Mayorga the edge. This could be a great fight but with this nut you never know what you are gonna get. He may come to fight or he might just want to quit after the first round to get a cigarette. Goffy bastard. To me the under bet looks solid.

Yes, I saw it

Mormeck's performance in the 2nd half of the fight was not that of a world champion. He was completely exhausted, could barely stand up, and it looked to be only a matter of time before Bell finished him.

Bell took his time trying to saeal the deal while Mormeck was in survival mode...holding, backing up, and covering up...just trying to make it to the final bell and somehow he did. It was pathetic to say the least.

MF...I don't expect Haye to outbox Mormeck early, nor do I expect him to win a decision. I'm just hoping his gameplan is to box early and save his energy for the later rounds when Mormeck becomes a human punching bag.

Zer...I realize Haye has the tendancy to run out of gas early which is why I don't want him getting into a slugfest with Mormeck early in the fight. If he lets Mormeck punch himself out in the first half, the 2nd half of the fight will be very easy.

I know this is not a lock, Mormeck could get to Haye early, or Haye could fight stupid and trade with Mormeck early not saving any energy for the late rounds. But if he fights the right fight and somehow makes it through the first 6 rounds, Mormeck will become very beatable for a puncher like Haye

At +130 I'll take my chances

Mayorga always has pimples on his face...lol

Both fighters look extremely heavy at this point leading up to the fight, which is another reason I like the Under. With Mayorga's aggressive style setting a fast pace early, I fully expect both guys to be gassed by the 6th round

Almost no one I have ever spoken to knows what a pimple ball was. Used them in Brooklyn, NY as kids. Wish I could get my hands on one now.

Pina isn't getting thru 6 rounds unless Raul Marquez carries him

I took it for a med play. I saw it for -210 earlier and was thinking about it for a small play. The line went to -155 and I jumped on it for a med play. Pina hasn't fought in 13 mnths, he's 43 yrs old, got KTFO by Spina in his last go, and according to Graham, he's lacking in the skills dept. He's a come forward fighter to boot. The ONLY thing that doesn't point in the direction of the early KO is that Marq is moving up in weight. I like the bet and placed the 5dimes max. Gl

"the bunker"
i didn`t know that marquez was back......he`s so slow...and he`ll cut if you hit him on the brow with a wet sock.....

his opponent was stopped in 4 by spina?...lol...and i hear he`s "game"...that ususally means he stands in and takes a beating.....that`s what marquez needs...he has cement feet...

good enough.....hopefully either raul gets cut or this guy stands and fights...at 43,i doubt he`ll do a willie pep impression....

-165?...why tf not...i`m in...

mormeck did look like crap after the halfway point vs belll....he is muscle bound....his stamina`s terrible.....i`ve never seen haye....

the ouma/mora over looks extremely solid...
