I just seen the last round of the Munyai fight and it makes me want to cry!!!

Can you say Bute vs Andrade 1 without the ref fuk up.

Esquivel completely out on his feet and laying on the canvas as the final bell rings :scared
10 seconds more and I'm a huge winner instead of a huge loser.

Esquivel wins the fight on 2 judges cards by 2 points and Munyai has 2 points taken off by the ref.

In the clips I watched, Esquivel looked much better than I had seen before

Ouch! That stings brother. I had a lot to gain on this fight too. I thought Munyai would dominate this guy. Even though it will probably upset my stomach to watch, I wonder if you might have the link to this?

Thanks man, and what Ghost said. Can't keep a great capper down!

Just looking ahead a little bit:

What a card on Sept. 18th from the UK:

Darren Barker vs. Matthew Macklin
Derrick Chisora vs. Sam Sexton
Nathan Cleverly vs. Karo Murat
Kell Brook vs. Michael Jennings
Ryan Rhodes vs. Lukas Konecny
Enzo Maccaranelli vs. Alexander Frenkel
James DeGale vs. Carl Dilks

More good fights on one card than we sometimes find on a whole weekend!

Randy Couture vs. James Toney

Randy Couture vs. James Toney

I was also taking a look at the MMA schedule and see that the fight between Randy Couture and James Toney is on tap in just a couple of weeks. I am very intrigued by this match-up. I'm shocked that Toney would not have taken an MMA tune-up or to before getting in the ring with the likes of Couture. Both guy's old, so that seems on par. No question the UFC arena grants Couture a huge edge. Looks like we will finally get some hard evidence about the boxer vs. MMA fighter debate. James Toney is the quintessential boxer. I wonder though, how much he will be able to utilize his skill in the MMA ring.

What do you guy's think about this match-up, and Toney's chances here?

Yep...that's some epic stuff if Frank Warren can keep all the fights together. He is calling the event "The Magnificent Seven" (7 Title Fights, which you listed above).

The cynic in me thinks at least 1 or 2 of these fall out in the coming weeks....but even 5 of these fights one one card is awesome.

The problem is Toney's age and wear and tear.
Couture is old too, but he is still competitive with the top guys in that sport.

Toney looked like SHIT against Sam Peter and Danny Batchelder.

They interviewed James at the UFC event last Saturday, and I couldn't understand a word he was saying.

I want Toney to win, but odds are Couture shoots in the first 30 seconds, puts him on the ground, and Toney doesn't get up from there. James is one of the toughest SOBs to ever set foot in a boxing ring, but that won't help him if his arm is broken. Totally different sport.

Agreed!

I dont see how Toney can stop Couture from taking him down (which he will surely try).

Toney also doesnt have that explosive power or style to land a haymaker in the first seconds!

Maybe, we saw the same interview, ghost, I thought Toney made himself look a bit like a moron, the way he is acting and so...I used to like him, great skills, but he appears delousional!

Well I come from the old school of Wrestling and I say this is how it's going down Sat night. Fast forward a few mins til Ali gets in the ring...funny stuff here and I hate to admit it but I actually remember when this went down back in the 70's

man....this guy Mayol is RIDICULOUS !!!!!! Romero's face was all sliced up from headbutts.

I've never seen a guy use his head like this...unreal....poor Edgar Sosa NEVER should have lost his title

one of the worst BEATS of the last few years that Sosa match...

I suppose Toney's only chance is to land a big shot in that first 30 seconds, but he's not that kind of boxer. If it goes to the ground, that's obviously it. I'm sure Toney has been working hard on MMA techniques these few months, but you can't learn the craft in just a few months. Plus it's Couture, not some scrub. He's very skilled at what he does. Personally, being a boxing guy, I would like to see Toney win. I think Ghost is right to, that Toney seems to have slipped. That Mayorga fight against Din Thomas, with Mayorga's reckless aggression may have been interesting though? Still, curious to see how it goes down.

Can't blame Cloud, but the comments are ridiculous and obviously aimed at getting a fight with Dawson. He should be careful what he wishes for. One of those old men gave Cloud all he could handle...and acutally, Dawson only fought two old men - twice each. I think Pascal would be a handful for him to. If they do fight, I say Dawson whips Clouds ass with relative ease.
