Man I am really pissed that they changed this fight to 140 when it was listed at 135. Reyes never fought at 140. Dammit I should of hedged because I took Reyes -120.

I can't pick a winner to save my life this last month. This is just getting ridiculous.

I'm getting to the point, dude, where I think I am going to just make my picks each week
and then bet the opposite across the board
I can't remember the last time I picked a Friday Night Fight correctly

Exactly
what morons Reyes and his people are
You are already fighting a guy with limited speed and INCREDIBLE power
so you let him come in heavier and stronger ?
WTF !

Concepcion weighed in at 119 1/2 pounds on Friday, 4 1/2 pounds over the match weight. At first glance this looks as if it could lead to a rougher-than-expected night for Donaire. However, Donaire's manager, Cameron Dunkin, talking over the phone from Las Vegas on Friday evening, said: "I was told that Concepcion weighed 119 pounds when he got to Las Vegas a week ago and then he weighs in at 119 1/2 pounds, but he looked completely dried out at the weigh in; the kid looked as if just can't lose any more weight. I think my guy drills him. As a manager you know when you've got a special fighter, and Nonito's special ? and he's so ready to fight it's unbelievable.

I think he should just cancel fight because of this weight advantage of opponent, but he didn't. Maybe he had money problem or something but now Reyes has 3 loses on his record in the row.
And most importantly we lost money again:nono:

"The fight was made at 140 for the Latino junior welter title," promoter Tuto Zabala Jr. said from Miami this morning. "It says lightweight on the poster but that's a mistake."

What a crock it was for the Reyes' WBO Latino lightweight title !

Nope, the fight was made at 140. The promoter was adamant about that when I spoke to him this morning. I did an update on the Fightwriter preview, but if I left in that the fight was for Reyes's WBO Latino lightweight title it was something I overlooked that should have been amended. I thought the update made it very clear that this was a 140-pound fight all along. It wasn't in the promoter's interests to get Reyes KO'd as Reyes was the house fighter.

I've been hedging profits for 5 weeks to no avail and finally a hedge paid off. I lose 320 net on Reyes but a 2hund hedge on Pit saved the night. The weight difference is what did it for me. Sorry boys.

The update was clear, good and in time before the fight started. I am just mad at myself for not hedging and venting some frustration.

Yes the promotor says the fight was made for 140, but was they any mention of this until after the weigh-ins? Because everything I read leading up to the weight in and even the fight posters said it was a regional lightweight title fight. It just seems too convienent for the promotor to just say it was all a mistake and also, Reyes never said he was moving up in weight.

You are right, the promoter didn't want Reyes to get Koed, but it was in the Promoter's financial interest not to cancel the main event.

Dissapointing! A Noe win inside the distance would have been a nice comeback...and from what I have heard Harris was there to be taken (even before the headbutt).

hmmm, doesnt the rules say that a fighter has 5 minutes to recover from an accidental headbutt....

Anyways, I'm glad that Vivian didnt get seriously hurt, obviously he shouldnt be fighting anymore and putting him in with Ortiz would be straight out criminal!

Kimbrough just signed with Roy Jones promotional company. So, if the fight goes the distance, he might get the nod....

Mendoza looks really solid at the weight, I'm really surprised. I'm wondering if the +1100 line on him as well as the over and BJ by decision are a bit generous.

I just heard that Kimbrough has been down on a lot of occasions, but his hometown ref ruled most of them slips...so apparently his chin is pretty bad.
