Well, I think this is enough to bet on an 8-1 underdog, the line has already dropped to +604.

What do you think of Montana vs. Tua!?

I picked Hawkins to beat Tua, and I think - if everything is fair and if Saul doesnt get caught which is a bit iffy because of his style - he might be worth a small play!?

i`m not sure whether it`s worth the effort...but,i might put 10 or 15 bucks on it for fun based on tony`s post....truthfully,i don`t see much in in ortiz` record that would engender confidence..

tua is sooo slow and inactive ....montana is small and has a lousy chin...

6 of one...half dozen of the other...

How the hell this one got to be a PPV is beyond me. Anywhos, tua is a VERY beatable fighter. I believe there are a few c level fighters that can get by him. Tua fights w/no confidence and he can be easily frustrated. Someone that can keep a tight defense, throw combinations, and add a little movement will beat him. I don't know anything about Saul Montana. Based on his record and how he's done when stepping it up, he would appear to be tailored made for Tua. A prime Tua starches this guy. However Tua isn't the same fighter he once was. IF Montana can find a way to stay off the canvas, I could envision a big upset. I recently saw Montana @+1100. If the tua man comes in hefty, I may lay a few down on Montana.

excellent post,romi....i agree that tua`s very beatable....i`m just a little leary after this crew hit some nice longshots over the last few weeks.....

now,every longshot i see gives me wood...:D

i just wish that montana was........errr....somebody else ......

maybe a legit hvywt...taller with a better chin...

that said,+1100 is silly.....

`scuse me.....while "mr wood" heads back to 5 dimes to check those odds...:banghead:

how does litzau/lucero go 10?.....

considering lucero`s style(in your face),his height disadvantage and his history of getting stopped fairly early vs pretty much every legit puncher he`s faced*pac/juarez/ponce.....

maybe litzau`s a step below these guys, but,he`s very aggressive......and a legit jr ltwt.....

i ain`t layin` -300...maybe find a parlay partner?

really despearate weekend for boxing/mma action, ain`t it?....

I think the odds are priced correctly and you can't even say that Montana's has a puncher's chance with Tua's chin. Montana's best fighting weight was probably 190 . No doubt , Tua's beatable by a good boxer with some movement and enough pop, but Montana's not that guy. He was entertaining when I was ringside for his fight against 6'9" Tye Fields. The short Montana was just throwing wild Haymakers from his ankles, barely able to reach Fields chin. Remember Louise Azille from a week ago who let Fagacios hang around until he got iced, well Azille KO'd Montana in Rd. 1. Save your money, or try a different dog.

i think we agree that tua`s very upsettable....and that montana`s just a bad fit....

but,i`ll never discourage a guy from putting a few dollars on a huge dog......i don`t need that grief...

That is essentially what I was saying. I wasn't suggesting to place the bet by any means. Like I said, I know next to nothing on Montana except what boxrec has on him. That being said, if and when Tua steps it up a notch, I would wager a bit on an upset. I'm not talking world class level comp either. I wouldn't exactly classify Tua as world class at this stage of the game.

Rosales gave away the 1st round in a "feeling out" process, but he came back and dominated the 2nd round

Rosales is the much better fighter, if he keeps up the work rate and avoids the single shots coming from Venegras...he wins easy

Rosales landing at will in the 3rd round, its his fight to lose

I didn't realize Rosales had a 4" height advantage, thought he was more like 5'9" instead of 5'11"

Wish I would've been around when 5dimes opened +125 on the much better fighter

Venegras won round 8...he was much more aggressive and landed some big shots, but I still think Rosales wins easily

I scored it 78-72 Rosales

good call.
My man comes up with rosales as tip really late.
To late for me i got aparlay in at 135 but then it goes up to -170 and i passed at these odds.

congratulation.

Ortiz showed a good effort, but he had a bad start and was outskilled. But he was trying hard, cant ask more from a +800 fighter.

Anybody knows result of telefutura fights with ojeda ?
played ojeda small at +225.

Soto-Karass thrashes Ojeda!
Another impressive performance for WBO #13 welterweight Jesus Soto-Karass (17-3-3, 14 KOs) as he blitzed Jose Antonio Ojeda (14-6-3, 8 KOs) at 1:30 of round three. The bout was stopped by Rocky Burke after Soto-Karass dropped Ojeda, then continued with a vicious assault.

thanks for the info.
Not a good night for me because i missed Rosales,
but nothing that hurts.
Actually Mackey over murat is biggest investment. 5dimes has it posted wrong as 10 rounder but its a 8 rounder that is better for Murat.

Only way Murat wins is by hometown dec, thats not so unlikley but i like my chances.

Btw pathetic effort by Lucero

shoulda laid the =300 on litzau inside the distance instead of parlaying it..........lucero`s style(or lack thereof)played right into litzau`s physical advantages......
