I dont post much. I just observe alot. Here is my 2 cents.

For value alone, Ouma is a great bet. I dont think anyone should have doubts in regards to the validity of Ouma's sickness b4 the Karmazin fight.

Ouma is a solid B+ fighter. He will beat 95% of the fighters he faces throughout his career. Powell should be one of them. And if he has a bad night and gets beat by Powell? You're still getting great value on Ouma. On paper he is 2x better than Powell and it should show after the 4th round. I wont discourage you guys from betting Powell, but Ouma is the best value here if you are gonna bet this fight.

Couldn't agree more with this post my friend. I am pretty shocked this line moved so damn low
 Powell the guy that should have lost to Grady brewer is only a -140 underdog to Ouma?

Hughes sub 2 Pierre :thefinger

I just put a little on "fight won't go distance" at +115

At some point these guys will go at it, and both can be hurt by the other imo. With Quartey being 36 and Forrest at 35, there's a good chance they won't see the final bell.

Is the last few rounds worth that much? Typically I will always take more rounds as well but jesus 5dimes is charging a lot for those last couple rounds. :scared

Great minds do think alike though you are insane if you think Hughes is gonna beat GSP. GSP tools Hughes and has a serving of Canadien Bacon afterwards at Denny's.

I hear ya, was expecting a better payback if that prop surfaced but I still like the play at any + money.

Btw, I'm not recommending this play, just putting a small wager on it personaly

Welcome hardcorelegend

I agree and have said many times that if the line dropped below -150, I would be forced to play it...and I did at -140.
Just not recommending it...yet

Heads Up

Olympic still has the Solis-Salado Over 11.5 at +105

5dimes and Pinny have been slowly moving, with -120 and -102 now repsectively. Should set up a decent scalp later. I actually kinda like the play at + money as Salado is coming down from 115 to fight Solis, never been stopped, a few inches taller, and the bigger guy all around. But will scalp it if decent + money shows up on the other side.

"the bunker"
box knows i like forrest....i think he has the style to frustrate that piston-like quartey jab.....the jab that`s more like a power punch......

forrest has a damn nice jab himself...he`s taller..and more well rounded,imo....and i think that 154...on that 6 ft frame...with the tommy hearns shoulders....looks good to me...

i worry about those mayorga fights,though......i still don`t understand what happened there...looked like forrest froze....and may have been intimidated....

if quartey boxes from outside...behing that jab,i like forrest`s chances...if he turns it into a brawl,i have questions about vernon`s resolve...

forrest..even in the mosely fights..was always in control...he`s really talented...but,mayorga`s b.s....or the wild pressure...whatever...unnerved him...

we`ll see...i think forrest is the fresher, guy...with the better repertoire....his heart worries me though,if things get real difficult...

as for ouma,i was never in love with him....i think he`s really flawed...lousy defense...gets hit way to much...

he has no plan b...it`s all pressure and punch volume...

powell is the better technician....but,his level of opposition is nothing near ouma`s...ouma`s a huge step up.....

powell`s big thing, imo,is he uses that lefty stance as well as anybody i can remember...if he were a righty,he`d be nowhere near as good... that advantage gets neutralized here....

i expect that ouma may very well taste the canvas early here...the question is whether powell can handle pressure for 10...

and i hate the pro-powell venue....ouma`s been in more than a few close fights...

i may ride along with you guys on the experience factor...the proven commodity...small...but,the more i look the shakier it looks...

btw, somebody talk me out of throwing a few bucks away on mabuza at +4-1....the books are reeling this sucker in...i hate betting the initial loser in a rematch...stupid bet...and i love the marquez bros.....

...i thought that mabuza looked ridiculously nonchalant early in the first fight..totally unfocused.....like he was fighting some ham `n egger......and he took to much early punishment...

he seemed almost overconfident...i don`t know how that could be vs marquez....

i would think that he`ll be much more focused...tighter....this time around..

he`s very talented...and i`ve read that marquez is getting out of this weight class after this fight...

maybe the weight is a real problem for rafael...

i think mabuza`s really talented...i`m gonna give him another chance at +4-1 vs marquez...

if he comes out looking as loose as howdy doody with parkinson`s again, rafael will take his head off...

"the bunker"
wellllll...just that quick i`m off forrest......i`m getting off it...what a wasted effort the above post was.....lol

i`m hearing things about his preparation for the fight...a friend i trust has heard some things about forrest`s confidence....and how he perceives this fight.......and i was already leery when i heard that buddy mcgirt was involved.....i think he`s overrated....much like floyd,sr.....

no play....sorry if i inconvenienced anybody...

Hmmmm, Powell weighed 155, maybe it is only 10 rounds. I had read on fightnews that Powell had never been 12 and it seemed like this was a 12 round fight. Plus Ouma has some BS title.

Sweeet

I played the over pretty big since I was fully expecting to scalp, but while I was waiting for the line to move, every book I use pulled the fight. So I was left with a big play on the Over...and it cashed.

I have a question...

I have a question...

How hard can it be to decide whether a fight will be 10 rounds or 12

Seriously, we see this sh*t all the time and it makes no sence at all. At first boxrec had both HBO fights listed at 10 rounds, then a few weeks later they changed both to 12 rounds. And now, the night of the fight, we find out they are both 10 rounders...WTF. I'm not blaming boxrec, they were obviously in the same situation as the rest of us. Just can't figure out why this information is always so elusive.

Anyway, the Forrest-Quartey won't go distance prop is no-action
