Unbelievable

They gave Forrest a 10 round UD

I'll take it, but the decision was horrible, Forrest even had a point deducted

Oh well

I had Forrest as well and was amazed. Reminded me of the Golota vs. Byrd draw only 10 times worse.

What's really funny is that wagerweb.com graded my Forrest bet as a loser! The person who graded it must have been watching the fight.

I'm seeing different opinions at other forums

Most think Quartey got jobbed, but there's also plenty who think it could've gone either way, some had Forrest winning a close decision. I still think Quartey did enough, Forrest ran most of the fight and just wasn't busy enough. Quartey was right there to be hit but Forrest kept backing up. Not sure if its his lack of heart or he's still not 100% physically, but he could have dominated to actually deserve the decision...he didn't.

They should have a rematch but Forrest won't want any part of it

That is too funny. I also had Forrest and was getting depressed after the 9th sensing my impending loss. Honestly though, noone should be surprised to see a shady decision in today's boxing climate.

Congrats to all winners and my condolences to Quartay betters. You got screwed!

yes, forrest definitely doesn`t handle extreme pressure very well....we saw that with mayorga...

yes,i`m surprised that it was unanimous.....yes,i think it was close....

and yes,i think hbo`s crew is ridiculously biased when watching fights...particularly lampley....and they influence public opinion....

sure, quartey was coming forward...he was absolutely the stronger guy....but,aside from the jab, which is a strong jab....he was largely ineffective,imo....

i was thinking back to jeff lacy chasing omar sheika around the ring awhile back.sheikaholding every 10 seconds..and the scores being ridiculously close....

who knows what these judges are thinking...

yes, forrest had some facial swelling....but,since when does that determine scoring in a fight?...check out j.m.m.`s face after he took out jandaeng.....

it easily could have gone quartey`s way..maybe it should have....he certainly pressed the action....
..but,imo,it was no slam dunk....forrest landed a more wide ranging array of punches....some truly hellacious body shots....

and i still don`t get that point deduction....was i sleeping through all the prior low blows?...and warnings?....

was forrest constantly low?....was he warned earlier in the round for low blows?....i don`t remember seeing it.....
that point came out of the blue,imo....
but,i`ll watch it again....

i think giving a close decision to quartey would have been fine....

but every week, watching letterman`s scoring scares me....he`s consistently wrong...

all that said,i think i`d have gone for quartey close...because i thought forrest faded and lost most of the steam on his shots over the last 3 rounds...

but, other than coming forward,i`m not sure that quartey won easily...it was close...

btw...j.m.m.....when he has an aggressive guy in front of him,is about as beautiful to watch as they come.....

jandraeng was tough as nails,,,that was one helluva fight...

mabuza?...it`s good to be relaxed in there....but,not that relaxed....it looked like a coiled spring vs a slinky.......... lots of slapping shots from mabuza.....trying to touch gloves before every round?....marquez was trying to decapitate him...mabuza was boxing way to loosely...and he paid the price....again...

rafael marquez...pfp....may be the most destructive puncher in boxing....lord, his punches are heavy, slashing shots...and he`s turned into a damned good technician....

powell`s punches seemed to have absolutely no affect on ouma...he literally walked through powell...

i was almost embarrassed for powell in front of his hometown fans....

i don`t think ouma even flinched...

congrats b.l...and everyone else....looks like everyone ended up on the plus side...

well, it looks like we got away with one on forrest, quartey looked pretty good for him, he'll still have a big fight or two for him.

that ouma sure likes to throw punches, and he looked like he was sparring in there, kind of like james toney being totally at home inside the ring.

by and by I also cashed my forest +165 I guess luck went my way this weekend.
