A lot of interesting fights this week.
So far I have a parly of Balzay and Jacobs.
Balzsay should just be too good for stieglitzt. whatever Stieglitz does well, Balzay does it better.
and Ishe, well, I like him, but he is just not active enough to beat a young guy like jacobs...moving up in weight wont help him either.

I'm also on Kuziemski @+450 and Malignaggi @+500. I just feel the lines are a bit off. Diaz is coming off a very tough loss and you never know how a fighter responds to that. As for malignaggi, he is fighting for his career more or less, so he should be motivated. Malignaggi had a lot of trouble against Hatton, because he couldnt get away from him. Diaz doesnt have the footwork of Hatton, so he might be able to employ his style a bit better in this fight.
Not a long time ago, I would have been all over Kuziemski @+450, but Br?hmer looked better than ever in his last two fights. hmm, I see a competetive fight, but Br?hmer will probably eke out a win.

Klassen vs. Guerrero is another tough fight to call.
IMO Graham is pretty much spot on in his preview.
Guerrero has a lot of things going for him one punch power, promotion, size..., but Klassen really looked like a whirlwind against Baloyi. If he can fight like this, I guess he has solved the issues he once had with this stamina...we'll see. He might be worth a shot at a solid + number.

malignaggi would have to k.o. diaz in houston to win(which means malignaggi ain`t winning)........

but of course,that`s the idea....

i`m just glad that this protected, homeboy finally got exposed....

pfp?..diaz?......lol

How was Diaz protected or exposed? His last 5 fights have all been with good name fighters. He gave a good account of himself in the J.M.M. fight before losing, no shame in that. He suffered a bad cut in the Campbell fight, where he didn't react to well with it. Without the cut, the fight might have been different, who knows. Still made a good account of himself there as well.

Does Paulie really have to KO him to win a decision in Houston? Katsidis he dominated easily, and only won a SD. The J.M.M. scorecards were very fair at the time of the stoppage as well. What decision has Diaz won where you would say the other fighter was robbed?

I'm not saying Diaz is the best fighter out there, but I just disagree with your post.

I am all over the Ghost!!

Klassen is too small.

Keep in mind that Baloyi was 5'10, 2 inches taller than Ghost, and Klassen beat him. I think Ghost should win, but I think the fight will come down more to Ghost being a lefty and his pedigree than the height, IMO......

Good stuff Zerwas and armageto
Nice to have your analysis here as you guys know your stuff

Jose Reyes screwed me last week, so I am sort of in conservative mode still

I agree with everyone here on the Jacobs-Ishe OVER. I won't bet it because I am still hurting from the "guaranteed" Witter-Alexander OVER prop. But I think you guys will win this. I like Jacobs by wide decision (scores will be wide even if fight is close).

I am also staying away from Guerrero. Klassen looks good and he is riding career momentum. Agbeko, Hlatswayo, Funeka - as Graham said in his preview, the South African fighters have been on fire this year. Ghost may be in trouble Saturday. I will be rooting for Robert - but I don't know.

I have two plays this weekend so far:

JUAN DIAZ ITD +260

Paulie was embarrassing against Hatton, and from all accounts, was badly hurt in his last fight against journeyman Chris Fernandez.

Although he was stopped against Marquez, Diaz was putting it on JMM for the first 4 or 5 rounds. If he fights like that Saturday, I think he will run Paulie out of the ring. Late KO. Baby Bull. Worth a shot at the plus odds.

PARLAY
Diaz-Balzay-Jacobs

I stepped away from the favorite parlays for a few weeks-mainly because the doggies were biting like crazy. But I am going back to it now.

I think all 3 guys win easy. Got the judges on my side as well.
:142smilie

Good luck crew
Go Baby Bull !

Not sure what others think, but my opinion is I like BALZSAY the best out of the 3.

Balzsay is a damn good fighter and is fighting in his home country, Hungary.

Steiglitz, his opponent, has failed in every big step up - and I expect him to fail again here.

But the favorites are all pretty expensive this week Hemi - be careful.

I know you are successful laying the wood - but -500 and -600 is a lot of cash!

Regardless - my top pick is Balzsay.
Good luck bro.

For what it's worth, I agree that Balzsay looks like the safest, followed by Jacobs, then Diaz.

Word from some "wise guys" in Bensohurst Brooklyn is Paulie is shot and is just here for a final payday or two. He has a job lined up running numbers for the "bent nose" crew, where he will be evaluated and possibly promoted to loan shark.
Also, did you guys see the brief video in Fightnews with paulie regarding his Everlast Pro-tec gloves. It was an ad for the gloves and the mental midget mentions how the gloves match his corn-row braids!!!! Diaz is going to smoke this guy.

This sounds almost sarcastic at points, it's hard to tell lol. But if you're serious, thanks for posting this frank.

I was considering Paulie as live b/c he left McGirt, maybe he'd recapture his old form. Now im thinking Diaz TKO, if only b/c of a hometown stoppage.

I think that had more to do with Baloyi being too long in the tooth.

It's good to see you here Geto. :toast:

I'm semi-retired and very choosy, but I like: Diaz KO +300, medium play. I think Paulie's legs are shot here, even if McGirt's gameplans always stunk. He just can't move like he used to, and will get sucked into a phone booth fight.

In Texas under HBO and GBP, we might see an early stoppage. You'd better believe a cut on Paulie will be ruled a punch no matter what, just look at the Bradley/Campbell debacle. Malig is there to lose.

If Malig cuts Diaz there might be some trouble, most likely it gets ruled a butt and Diaz wins a TD.
Diaz ITD is the play no doubt, it covers a TD and a KO.

Won't go distance +225 is great line. On that too.

I'm going to bet the house on Cotto/Pac doesn't go distance. And a cup of coffee on Marquez ko
