I would rather HBO show Ustinov vs. Boswell instead of the damn Floyd replay....that's gonna be a complete waste of broadcast time next Saturday....

I couldn't agree more. I had bank on Floyd but i strted to doze. Nice result but the fight was a total dud. When was Floyd ever in a good one? It's a combo of his defensive minded style and his dominance. I know I'll never get my wish of Floyd v Kirkland or Floyd v PW :( . The Mayweathers are thugs but they are smart thugs when it comes to boxing. They pick the perfect opponents.

HUGE on Poontang at +120 to beat Bernard "After this fight my career is going to be" Dunne!!! :142smilie

Asikainen to beat Macklin at +380. Macklin should not be this high a favourite at European level.

Good Luck All!!! :toast: :toast: :toast:

Floyd versus Paul Williams????? How bout Floyd versus one of the Klits bros while your at it. Mosley would be a huge challenge for him, but any bigger than that and PBF would be at a major disadvantage. Even at his advanced age, Mosley is still fast, and hits MUCH harder than Marquez ever will. I just think you want Mayweather to get in he ring with someone that will massacre him just to see him get destroyed. He is way to smart to let that happen, so keep dreaming.

POON SITING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

poonsawat.jpg

WBA mandatory challenger Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym arrived in Dublin over the weekend to a huge welcome from the Thai community in Ireland who flocked to the airport to welcome their hero and the man known as Thailand?s Manny Pacquiao. However WBA super bantamweight champion Bernard Dunne plans to give Poonsawat an entirely different welcome at The O2 on Saturday night when they clash for the Dubliner?s WBA belt.

There really seems to be a lot of love for Ponsawaat, I guess I will have to take a closer look at that fight.

Dunne has a serious height advantage, he is coming off the biggest win of his career and he is fighting at home!
So, going by that, he seems like a threat to Ponsawaat!?

As for Macklin Asikainen.
I dont know too much about Macklin, but Asikainen looked very vulnerable against Gevor.
I'm not sure if he has that much left.

I agree with you on Asikainen...I bet big on him against Gevor and he folded like a tent.
But, then again, Macklin got lit up by Jamie Moore.
Macklin seems to have improved since then (with a nice win over Elcock).

As far as all the Poon love-I have seen support for Dunne on other boards. And the line seems to be getting action on both sides.

On another board, one European guy was mentioning that Dunne knew Darren Sutherland (who killed himself last week) quite well....people are wondering how this will affect Dunne.

My support of Poon in this fight is mainly due to the fact that:

1. Poon has had some very solid performances - even on the road. Close fight in Germany with Sidorenko and he KO'ed Somsak Sithchatchawal. Also beat Cordoba as well.

2. Dunne fought out of body last time out - and still was SO close to losing. Dunne also struggled against Faccio. I don't think the Poonster is as slick as Cordoba, but I think he might hit harder. I don't think this one will see the cards.

I still don't know how Dunne did it last time out. It was truly remarkable. I think he is out of miracles.
