do you expect the Tito/Mayorga line to drop like the Oscar line did a few weeks back?

Not really, the line dropped last week due to the huge amount of DLH money coming in from the average boxing fans.

I expect this line to move back and forth due to the many variables in the fight but in the end it will probably close at Trinidad -250.

I think you're right about the line staying at -250. I'll take Trinidad. I just think with Mayorga's lack of boxing skills as well as him moving up 13 punds will be to much to overcome.

"the bunker"
where to start....

i am very surprised at the o/u on mckart/simms....i don`t think simms is anything great...i know his mgr a little from the net....mckart has 5 losses...3 to winky wright....and one to a reborn verno phillips....the other was a 4 round decision way back when...

mckart is 33...what he has left,i don`t know....i was not impressed with simms` win over the mexcan to take the title...

mckart is taller...has fought better guys...both lefties...

so taking mckart at +300 is a no-brainer....as i said,it`s been a long time since i`ve seen him fight...maybe he went the way of roy jones....we`ll see...

i saw the last mendoza/alvarez fight and i had mendoza winning....i`ll take him this time myself....

the over is to rich for a straight bet but i have it parlayed....weeks ago...

i don`t see how mayorga/trinidad goes the distance...trying to figure out the best way to approach it...

i am also playing verno phillips as a dog...tread carefully...i may be the only one that thinks phillips has a shot...he`s older...and lost to ouma once...

phillips..(regarding the first ouma fight)...phillips fought in 01/98....stepped away until 06/2000 and fought a guy with a 3-7 record...had another layoff until 09/01 when his first fight back was with hot prospect ouma.....it was a tough fight with ouma winning....

that`s 5 rounds in over 3.5 years prior to fighting ouma...he wasn`t ready....

phillips has been on a tear since coming back....he has a belt...he`s reinvented himself...is fighting fabulously....although ouma is tougher than what phillips has seen since coming back...but i surely believe that THIS phillips will be ouma`s toughest test to date...he`s seen ouma once..and he`s been more active recently than ouma....i think that helps..

many think ouma is a champion in the waiting....and that i`m way off.....he might be....phillips is 33 or 34.........i`m gonna take the biggest odds i can get with phillips...and take a shot..i know ouma`s been stopped once...via 3 knock down rule...and i thought he was beaten by a pedestrian angel hernandez...i really like what i`ve seen of phillips since coming back...he easily beat mckart and michael lerma...both tall lefties.....granted,not ouma....but still,blow-out wins...

but remember...he`s almost a 2-1 dog...those are substantial odds...we aren`t supposed to win...so if you play,remember this is a long shot...

i was gonna step out on braithwaite vs mormeck, but, mormeck pulled out...

...i might have a few more...

we are pretty much on the same page...i hope mckart has a little left in the tank...

I'm still thinking about playing Phillips. Ouma's win over Candelo doesn't impress me at all after watching JC's last fight.
I agree this will be Ouma's toughest fight so far.

wait a minute...i saw he was listed as orthodox at boxing rec......

every time i`ve seen him he fights an awful lot of lefty......

maybe he`s orthodox and he switches up alot.....

as i said,it`s been a long time since i`ve seen him....

but if that`s the case,i`m going stone crazy and my memory is shot...

from eastside boxing....

29.10.01 -" Every so often I have to wonder if the judges were watching the same fight I was watching. Such was the case this past Friday night at the Pechanga Entertainment Center in Temecula, California where I and over eight hundred fans watched "southpaw" Bronco Mckart of Monroe, Michigan get a split decision 12 round nod over Alex Bunema of Kinshasa, Zaire in a Junior Middleweight title elimination bout. The scores were 116 to 112, and 117 to 111 for Mckart and 115 to 114 for Bunema by the third judge. The majority of the live crowd clearly agreed with the judge that had Bunema winning because the decision was roundly booed. I scored the fight 116 to 113, seven rounds for Bunema and four rounds for Mckart, with one even. I gave Bunema the edge on the basis of a very strong body attack throughout the fight followed up with hard shots to the head while he often had Mckart pinned on the ropes. Mckart, with a few exceptions, never seemed to completely get on track with effective combinations. Bunema's big mistake was he didn't seem to press the action as much in the last two rounds in what turned out to be anybody's fight going into those last two rounds. Maybe he ran out of steam or maybe he thought he was ahead enough to still get the decision-which I still feel he deserved because of his more impressive work throughout the rest of the fight. I was wondering what was going through Mckart's mind in those last two rounds as he continued to box behind his right jab when I felt he should have gone all out to try and gain a knockout. I am sure he somehow thought he was ahead enough to not risk getting knocked out but still win the fight on the judges' cards. He turned out to right though but I am not sure why!

ouma should be ready to go, i have trained with him from time to time down here in west palm beach. he seems to have his head on straight since recovering from his gun shot wound. he got shot about a year or so ago walking to his car at the local fridays. dont know to much about his opponent but ouma will be ready for this fight.

leaning lacy...slightly...if i can catch a -140....i might touch it lightly......

probably put 20 bucks on williamson for a laugh...at almost 4-1...might as well make klit show us something...

took mayorga and trinidad inside the distance at + odds...mayorga big odds...tito at almost+140....tito`s not gonna run....and mayorga can do nothing other than chase....he can`t box a lick....if tito has ANYTHING left after the layoff,he`s way to straight and sharp for wild mayorga...his timing shouldn`t have to be perfect to catch mayorga...

but, imo, mayorga has to jumop on tito...almost all his knockdowns happen early...he usually starts slow...he has to catch tito before he gets into a rhythm...it could happen....more likely, that tito chops mayorga down....

these two fighting to a decision?...standing in front of one another?...i don`t see it...neither guy`s a mover...

i have to say, though, when it usually looks like there`s no way for a fight to go the distance,it usually does...lol

Lacy had his hands full against Donnell Wiggins before his power bailed him out in the 8th round. Vanderpool is a decent southpaw so I took a small shot at the plus money. I played alot of dogs this week though, may have pushed a couple.

I really think we are going to be in for a classic fight tomorrow night. Trinidad should beat Mayorga, but i just get a feeling Mayorga is going to catch him. Trinidad will be there to hit. I think this one can go either way. Who knows with the over and under here. Really not a safe bet on the fight. I will stick with my original prediction. Mayorga KO6. He is fighting to keep his career alive.

Sphincter, whats up my man? I didnt even get your email. Lucky to find ya here i guess. Joined here last year and never posted. Glad i came back. Cant believe everyone left the RX. Anyways on to Mayorga-Trinidad. I see we have many different takes on the fight here so far. I havent had a nervous feeling like this before a fight in a longtime. 2 Guys that BRING IT, step in and try to knock eachother out. both of these guys have alot on the line. Fights like this are the reason i love boxing. I never usaully bet with a gut feeling on boxing, but i am going to on this one. I would kickmyself if i didnt and he won. I like Mayorga KO6.

i`ll be happy if anybody gets knocked the f--k out...lol....

watch...these two will have trouble carrying the weight and will both be spent in the 4th....we`ll have a "double ruiz" on our hands......lol

i don`t believe that for a second,though...

there`s an awful lot of latin machismo on the line here...mayorga`s talkin` s-it....and tito isn`t a runner....

if somebody doesn`t go bye-bye,i`ll be disappointed...

c`mon guys...do what you do best...

let me add a little something on the mckart/simms bout.....

if my memory serves me,simms won his title on a sort of a fluke...i remember alex "terra" garcia who had an unbelievable record, was k.o.`ed on the break....

as i recall, the ref stepped in to break them ,it was sort of a half-assed break as some of these shitty refs tend to do,and garcia left his hands down thinking the ref was stopping the action....simms jumped in with a big left hand while garcia stood there with his dick in his glove, and got knocked out....

i remember it now quite clearly...and i remember now thinking that both guy`s records were inflated and that neither was all that good...

the more i think about this,if mckart has anything left,he should have a real shot here...

simms is actually older than mckart...mckart is 2" taller....has a substantial reach advantage....and a very good chin...both are lefty`s(unless i`ve lost my mind, mckart`s a lefty)....and mckart has already fought winky wright 3 times...i doubt that simms is better than winky...

and simms, before the flukey garcia k.o.,had fought absolutely no one...check it out....his competition was ridiculous...

so,unless mckart is shot,i may add another small play on mckart at +280...

still like the over if mckart doesn`t pull a garcia or a nate campbell...

was just thinking about this crap and it came to me....

do with it what you will....maybe mckart is shot..to many tough fights.....but,simms is no kid himself.....and he`s had walk-over type opposition prior to garcia....and caught a break there.....

one final thing....simms has one of the best cornermen in the business, whose name escapes me at the moment...thats a plus for him....

g.l.

Bronco is a tough guy. I believe, but i may be wrong, i think thaqt the Alex Garcia fight was on the Dec DKP card with my boy Mayorga getting robbed. Simms was not very good, but really neither guy in that fight looked all that great. I think McKart will def take this one to a decision. McKart has never been stopped, only short loss was DQ against Winky. If Winky and Verno Phillips didnt stop him early, do you think this Simms guy will. I think it will be a close decision
