anything can happen when you are 40...dlh,and you can call me on this, will never get in the ring with trinidad again......

and, imo,if hopkins still has it,i think he beats trinidad again....

styles make fights....and trinidad`s style was perfect for a goon like mayorga.....

not so perfect for a slightly taller, slick technician like hopkins...

but,at 40 years old...or maybe 41 by the time it happens, bernard may be ready for the rocking chair....

trinidad looked excellent...but,we saw tonight what straight, accurate punching and even a little movement do to mayorga`s game...to be fair though, trinidad wears 160 very well...mayorga is a jr. middle at best...

don`t you guys think mosely and oscar are getting a little "tiresome"...i`m getting tired of both of them...but,that`s me...

I agree but these fights would be worth watching...

Mosley-Mayorga
Mosley-Ouma

or

DLH-Mayorga
DLH-Ouma

I think Forrest is still dangerous and Santos looked pretty good against Margarito. There's alot of good fights to be had at 154 if the politics of the sport don't get in the way.

Trinidad looked great tonight, no doubt, but he was hit with a ton of punches. Mayorga didnt have any steam on his punches after the 3rd round, but they were still landing. That is why he has been on the canvas so many times in his career. Still his offense looked unreal out there.

Also it was hard seeing Mayorga down. The guy is so tough. We know he isnt that skilled, but he took some seriously hard shots in there and he kept going until i think he was out on his feet. Personally, i would love to see him get down to 147 again and maybe take on Gatti, imagine that brawl. haha. I dont think he can make 147 anymore, but he can make 154 and even though Mayorga isnt a textbook fighter, he is very effective with his style. I hope he has something left after that fight because i could def. see him hanging with Mosley and Wright. No one at those weights will hit him as hard as he was hit tongiht. What a great war it was.

Also glad to see Lacy win. He has a ton of talent, just never seemed to put it all together. He can be a great star in boxing if he builds on this.

Also, maybe im a bit harsh, but has there ever been more of an enigma that Zab Judah. This guy has all the talent in the world, but he lacks the focus. I hope he gets his head on straight, but i doubt it, he has the brain of Mike Tyson... Glad some people won tonight though, congrats Boxlocks.

I knew it would be close fight and since it was in Quenonez' back yard I figured he would get the close rounds, oh well.
Sure wish the oddsmakers would have given us a total for that fight.

Thats why I left that alone. I couldn't make that total high enough in that fight.

:142lmao: :142lmao:

As for a couple of the fights there was some good luck and bad luck. Boxlocks (and myself) was VERY lucky that the headbutt happened in the Wlad-Williamson fight. I took your opener at (6 rounds at -120). I am pretty sure that fight would have gone over and consider that win a gift :142lmao:

However, I have read that Alvarez's decision over mendoza was a bullshit decision. I have a buddy who was at the fight's and he thought mendoza won 7 rounds clearly and possibly 8. Alvarez is a gift machine lately. I thought he lost to mendoza last time, lost to Burgos, then heard this was a gift as well (from a reliable source).

It was a great weekend of fights though  lacy-vanderpool and Tito-Mayorga were both excellent fights.

i certainly thought mendoza won their previous fight...which is why i had a play on mendoza.....they`re both king fighters,so that wasn`t it......the " buffalo",who i thought beat the great ricardo lopez in their first fight(an amazing feat),is living right,apparently....

if mayorga`s right, this guy is luckier than o.j....

you not only have to cap correctly, but you have to pray for a reasonable outcome....

i have to say,syd vanderpool looked super sharp to me....i always liked him...but i thought lacy would be to strong.....this guy has plenty left...he`s cute, quick, can whack and is a lefty....

that was an intense 8 rounds and both guys showed amazing grit and determination....

if vanderpool was allowed to take a knee before the stoppage, who knows....

one of the better fights i`ve seen in awhile....i hope vanderpool gets another title shot along the line.....

anybody that had him, should not feel badly....he would have brutalized most of the top super middles saturday night...lacy just wasn`t going to be discouraged....
