The fight is a month away but I took Poonsawat Keirdkjfjfcjgvofijenhjdjcfiorfjdcndkd over Dunne +110. Dunne fought the fight of his life and IMO above his level v Cordoba. I don't envision a repeat performance. The Dublin crowd will be a huge boost but I see the Thai fighter taking it to him and probably stopping him. If anyone recalls the last go, the announcers ridiculously had Dunne winning the fight (on the cards) but the judges had Cordoba winning convincingly so it appears a foreigner can still take the title over there by dec.

I also couldn't resist Direll +150. Froch is one tough unrelenting Brit but IMO he has some flaws that Direll can expose. I think Direll is better, stronger and faster than JT and I don't expect him to wilt in the champinship rds...if it goes that far.

Um, I believe you misspelled one of the fighter's names. It's actually Poonsawat Krithtginneithesjltyudnald-gym.

I like Poontang as well, but I also really liked Cordoba. And when I say I really liked Cordoba, I mean I REALLY EFFIN liked him. And when I say I really effin liked him, I mean that a fight comes along once, maybe twice a year, that you are so convinced about, that you point toward it for a month. I had back-logged parlays all set, and what amounted to a HUGE bundle, for me anyway, on Cordoba. I thought he was an absolute steal at -400.

I was also betting against Dunne as much as on Cordoba. Dunne had looked average at best - weak and scrawny. Yes, the fight was in Ireland, but that didn't seems to matter when K.Martinez walked through him like he was fighting a wet paper bag.

It was the most devastating defeat I have ever suffered... Imagine how Cordoba felt. I was actually worried about him getting seriously hurt at the end there. That one punch Dunne landed, coming off the ropes, was picture perfect.

Dunne fought out of his head that night, whether he can do it again I don't know. I do like Poontang in the fight, but I am little gun shy.

Poontang does not fade like Cordoba in the later rounds.

I will not be surprised to see Dunne dummied early in this fight.

Poontang is a much better version of Martinez and will murder Dunne with his own best weapon, body shots.

I LOVE this bet, not because he was decked twice by Cordoba and lucky Cordoba punched himself out, not because Martinez beat the shit out of him BUT because I seen his fight with Alejandro Cruz years ago and Dunne was decked and lucky to survive the second round.
This was an opponent with 2 stoppages in his Pro Life and he had Dunne stumbling around like a drunk.

I also here rumours that he has been sparked a few times during sparring sessions.

I will be going big on this one!!! :toast:

Carita: I will KO Sonsona
WBO super flyweight champion Jose ?Carita? Lopez (39-7-2, 32 KOs) of Puerto Rico and his upcoming challenger Marvin Sonsona (13-0, 12 KOs) of the Philippines squared off for the first time today in Ontario, Canada. The two will fight for real this Friday September 4th at the Casino Rama in Ontario Canada. The PR Best Boxing (Ivan & Peter Rivera) Promoted Lopez was very confident of victory at their press conference held today. ?I can tell you that I have come very well prepared for this fight. I know that Sonsona has youth in his favor but I see myself knocking him out,? said Lopez.

Paul Truscott +130 -Small

Lopez vs Sonsona Under 7.5 +160 -Small

Daniel Ponce De Leon -155 -Medium

I also like Luis Concepcion, but at -340 it is too steep for me and I am staying away from parlays for awhile.

Good Luck Guys! :)

Zab turns down half a mil to fight Shane
http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&opt=printable&id=21935

"Richard Schaefer and Shelly Finkel called my dad. They offered $500,000 and 5% of the pay-per-view. Are they crazy? They can suck a d*ck, preferably an HIV d*ck. I don't fight HGH patients. No disrespect to Shane, I'm only going by what his ex-wife told me, the fight will never happen," Judah told BoxingScene.com

"And with those numbers, the fight will never happen. That goes to show you the market value of Mosley. They went from $1.5 to $500. I wonder what Mosley's getting. He's probably not even getting a million. I'm not a sucker, they can find somebody else."

:142smilie :142smilie :142smilie :142smilie

Zab makes Mayweather look like a class act...what a fool....Zab doesnn't realize the million dollar paydays are long gone....he should take the half mil...

So Cal
I have seen several of Arreola's fights and he is entertaining. But he is an unpolished brute that Klit can probably take out any time he wants to do it. That being said I'm sure Klit knows Chris has a puncher's chance and won't let it happen. There is a class difference between these two that is as big as the Grand Canyon. If they were fighting in the street Arreola would have a shot - but he has no shot in the ring. Could be an interesting few rounds though cuz Klit might get clocked before he puts Chris to sleep. Just my opinion and for what it is worth, the line is way off but I imagine it is not easy getting money on the other side of Klit in this one. I want to thank all the regular posters here because you are making money for me and it is appreciated.

Kind of a quiet week. I haven't seen anything I'll wager a bundle on but here is what I have so far

Ponce -180. An absolute steal at those odds. I wouldn't wager -360 but -180 was a bargain. He's as crude and unpolished as they come but he's also about as strong and determined as they get.

Abregu -800. This line has moved as well. -1200 is a bit too wide for my blood but I'd be shocked to see him lose to this guy.

Under on abregu 7 1/2 -170. Again the line has moved to a scalp option but I think he gets this guy out so I'll leave it alone.

Futures- I put a small amt on Mayol +400. He was giving Calderon fits b4 the cut stoppage in the 1st go. He's got a real chance here. Calderon should be favored but I like the odds on Mayol. I wish there was a play on a controversial decision because this one has controversy written all over it. I got a feeling Mayol may get jobbed here.

Good luck everybody!

Sportsbook and affiliates were offering those odds. The max wager allowed isn't so hot but still I can't complain. I think it opened -150. I was scouting the other fights and it moved to -180. As crude as Ponce is, it's still going to take a highly seasoned fighter to beat him. The guy punches like a mule. Despite the 1st rd blowout v Juanma, Ponce has a decent beard. I think it will take a bit of home cooking for him to lose in Panama.

Yeah I played at -155 right when it opened at sportsbook and its affilates. Ponce should Ko this guy if he carries his power at the higher weight. I still think he wins either way Split Decision or Ko. Becasue you know one judge is already on board for panama. :)
