now fightnews has it
Reyes-Hinojosa: No Contest!

Friday night?s bout between Jose ?El Gallo? Reyes (23-5, 8 KOs) and Efren ?El Huracan? Hinojosa (29-5, 17 KOs) ended in a no contest at the Miccosukee Resort and Gaming in Miami. Reyes hit Hinojosa in the back of the head at the end of round one and Hinojosa went to the canvas for several minutes. He was eventually taken from the ring on a stretcher. Despite the fight-ending foul, the bout was ruled a no contest.

VERY GOOD NEWS. I called one of the books and they said they would go by the dec that the commisssion ultimately declared...that made me quite nervous. We deserved a W but Happy with a NC.

Just watched the fight. In other venues this could very well have been a dq. Reyes was going to win this affair but the hit behind the head was a bit blatant IMO. This gambler is more than happy with the NC call.:toast:

guess i`ll be the sucker and take the bait on the over in cintron/martinez at -140.....

although, looking at the montage of pictures of the weigh-in at fightnews,i thought cintron looked a tad soft...maybe it was because he looked so pale...he did have to lose 1/2 pound which is a little odd considering he`s coming up in weight...

I added more to aktas/frenois over....the line has really moved from my opening max bet @-225. I have quite a bit on it and purely boxrec but cant see a ko here.

I'm down a few bucks losing early in the week in Japan and the over on robinson last night...won a couple bucks on mundine. I'm still counting my lucky stars to a degree for Reyes not getting dqd. That would have hurt and been a huge set back.

Could have been a simple mistake he took it off quick enough. Cintron still has to cut to make 154 though. He walked into the ring at 160 a couple times when he was making 147 so who knows what he walks around at.

.....

.....

Had some shopping to do. I don't like Cintron a ton I guess, I just like the number now. I understand betting Martinez early though. When you really think about it, Martinez hasn't beaten very good opposition and I don't think has faced a puncher. On the other hand I read somewhere (it could have been here), Cintron don't like fighting lefties. Regardless when a guy starts off at +115 or whatever he strted at and you have a chance of getting +170 you take it. It's a small play for me though.

totally understand....the number has moved a bit....

i played martinez a little harder than average(nothing like the dlh debacle...i`m saving that distinction for diego sanchez:D )...

but i am considering a small hedge on cintron inside at almost +240.......imo,beating bunema isn`t enough to validate a large wager on martinez(as impressive as it was)...

martinez has been down several times,so,this is sort of uncharted terroitory for both men(kermy at 154...martinez fighting at this level)...

martinez can`t make the big mistake...i still like him a bit at -145....and i`d prefer he stay standing through the 8th..

actually,it`s all a moot point,though...it`s diego sanchez or nothing for me...the rest is peanuts...

Good news for us both Romi.

It is being reported that Frenois beat Aktas on points.

nice pick weepaul!

im re-buying nate at -150, heard he was 144lbs today. i still think their is a gap in class between the two of them, maybe he did train hard but his body gave up on him, it happens. i just cant get over the experience and tecnical advantages, and nate knows he absolutely MUST look good tonight.

My big bets tonight are

Angulo-Rivera under 9.5
Martinez to beat Cintron (probably with a Cintron ITD hedge....good advice weasel)
I think Martinez is going to destroy Kermit personally
and I will be very surprised if Cosme can handle the Angulo pressure for 10 rounds

I think Nate will win this fight....I think he is just a level above Funeka

but NO PLAY for me there...I'll focus on the other two fights

good luck guys....any word on Woods-Muriqui?
