Eleven years ago Lalonde lost a unanimous
decision to Bobby Czyz. That was the last time
Donny fought someone that could fight back.
Since the Czyz fight he has taken two 4.5 year
layoffs and fought a total of seven fights. Most
of which were only scheduled for 6 or 8 rounds.
Lalonde's last four opponents and outcome:
Kevin Pompey 32-14-2 (6 round draw!) D
Tony Menefee 75-15-1 (8 round decision) W
Stacy Goodson 29-29-2 (1st round ko) W
Willard Lewis 17-6-2 (10 round decision) W
Note:
Pompey had lost 5 of last 6 fights going in!
Menefee had lost 5 of last 6 fights going in!
Goodson straight up sucks!
Lewis' last 6 included 4 losses,1 win, and 1 draw!
Combine all that with the fact that Lalonde is 43
years old and you start to wonder if the golden
boy should even be taking this fight.
I don't think I need to explain what Hill has
accomplished in his career. Virgil is 39 himself,
but he has maintained a level of consistency in his
fighting abilty and strength of competition. While
Lalonde has fought scrubs for the last decade, Hill
has beat top ranked contender after top ranked
contender. And throughout his career he has only
lost to the very best fighters.
This fight being in Lalondes hometown of Winnipeg
shouldn't make a difference. Hill has plenty of
experience fighting and winning in the opponents
back yard. I think this will be an easy fight for Virgil.

I am not just doing it to make fletcher happy. I do like one thing and that is winning. And I also dont trust just anyone when I lay my green on the table and pull up a chair.

I know this Virgil Hill and I have seen alot of his past fights. He is old at 39 he had a hard life or something. This is what I want to know
If this Lalonde is 43 he better be in top shape for this fight. If he is not then Virgil should take him. One thing if Virgil wins I would almost guarantee it goes the distance and he gets a decision.
He aint going to knock this guy out I doubt. Unless Lalonde is a very hard puncher with knockout power 33 KOs ? my money would have to ride on Virgil. The over might be good. They tire in the fourth round and just stand around slugging and clinching for hours.

i would never say bet the milk money but i see no way in hell hill does not win this fight. I think the line will go higher to around 380 by fight time. That is all i can really say on this fight
