Victory Lane
one last thing about Virgil Hill that resulted in victory lane.

Hill never had real knockout power during his long boxing career, and Hill also never followed up properly when he had his man hurt.

Why was the over at 9.5 when there were only 10 rounds in the fight. Has anyone every seen a over that far over in a boxing match ? I felt strongly about the play but damn. Seems it should have been over 8.

Calzaghe-Mitchell o/u was 11.5 rounds
Del Ville-Siaca o/u is 11.5 rounds
Corely-Judah o/u is 11.5 rounds (pinnacle)
All of these are 12 round fights.

Its very common to see this kind of line.
I think it would be easier to make a prop.
of whether the fight will go the distance
or not. Its basically the same thing.

BTW, I agree that Hill has never had real
KO power, but he had enough power to
stop that stiff. Like you said he never
properly finished the job, but he was fully
capable of ending that fight whenever he
wanted to. I think Hill felt sorry for the old
man, and he chose not to beat the sh*t
out of him in front of his hometown crowd.
Just my opinion.

BOX

I thought I would just bring a KO in here.

The reason that I watch boxing is for the knockout. I have seen many good ones. Its what I live for. As a matter of fact I prefer that the fight lasts under 5. That is good as gold to me.

There is nothing better than a bone-crushing KO.
But I watch boxing for the 12 round slug-fest.
Gatti-Ward and Barrera-Morales are as good
as gold in my book.
