More thoughts on Serrano/Mayfield

More thoughts on Serrano/Mayfield

DVRed it, and I don't think I've ever seen a more inept corner for a fighter ever. Poor Serrano, after being dropped and hurt like never before in his career, his corner neither gives him the stool, nor ices him until the minute is just about over, never actually icing him, all the while fighting amongst each other whether to stop the fight or keep the fight going :argue:

I had an inkling his father was slow from interview vids

In line for best KO of the year so far! Kid probably did not even realize what had happened.

Catchweight was set for 170 pounds, but Green came in over at 171.7.

Pretty sure the catchweight was 172, heard Green say that in an interview this week.

Kessler much better fighter but I feel the real key is the work rate of the Dane. imo Green is going to struggle large with the pace of the fight. Has a legit left hook and nice jab which should find Kessler but he hardly lets his hands go with any regularity for it to make a difference.

I think Kessler gets him outta there.

David Price vs. Sam Sexton

David Price vs. Sam Sexton

8.5 rounds under @ -160
I can't see this one lasting long, unless David Price suddenly decides to think that he needs to get some championship rounds in. At 6'8" with a 76" reach (slightly shorter than I initially thought before I looked it up) Price has massive advantages over the listed 6'2" 71" Sexton. As I stated earlier, I think Sexton is slightly taller than his listed 6'2", maybe 6'3" or 6'4". He isn't terribly hard to hit, chin can be dented, and often is a come forward fighter pumping the jab. Chisora wore him down and knocked him out in two fights, so the blueprint is there ready and waiting for the Price knockout. I believe Martin Rogan also came close to stopping Sexton at one point, before eventually being stopped himself. These men are equal in size to Sexton, and gave him all or more than he can handle. Not only is Price massive, his right hand is nuclear. In fact, the 8.5 has now been downgraded to 7.5 under @ -130 which I might make a smaller play on. :0008

Just have the feeling, that he will wear him down over time. The extra weight should help him, compared to Green, that is simply a litte "fatter"... my guess would be rd 9/10... :popcorn2

Btw. add plays:

Sanchez -140 (maye add over too)
Satchell +225
both straigth + the Draw ;-)

Good job; Kessler inside.

What a knockout, candidate for ko of the year.

Green really nowhere to go, should hang them up.

More upsets

Denver Cuello @ +105 and Kevin Satchell @ +225. Really wanted to research these fights, but came up w/ nothing on Ganigan Lopez and Kevin Satchell. It's been a nice run of the underdogs the last few weekends..

We were also treated to 2 of the best knock outs in recent memory(Mayfield/Kessler). Two of my plays were no action(Ajisafe/Anwar) due to replacements. Back to work.
