Word is Sultan has improved on his footwork and has trained really hard. The knee problems he had before the Austin fight have been worked out.
Sultan was 235 in the Austin fight. He has done the training and at 221 it shows his dedication to the gym.

Sultan is not concerned about Briggs size
because any advantage they get from that hugeness, is offset by quickness and footwork.

It has been reported that Briggs once refused to spar with Sultan because he was a lefty.:scared
It was also reported that Briggs was knocked down in sparring by Timour, Sultans cousin.:SIB

Your not supposed to get knocked down by a sparring partner.

Due to Briggs weight, lack of mobility, and weak
respiratory capacity, Briggs will be vulnerable to being surrounded and clocked from all angles by Sultans hard shots. This will cause Briggs to go into brain freeze and leave him open to going down like a tree trunk.

The only danger for Sultan is if he attempts a frontal assault too soon, and puts himself into
Brigg's wheelhouse and big counterpunch zone. That would not be a good place to be and Sultan has watched the tapes. Get it five rounds and Briggs will be staggering like a drunken man.

In Sultans past fights however he has been known to explode into frontal action if the other guy actually trys to punch him. Shannon Briggs is
fast-handed if he is anything. Sultan is fast enough to beat Briggs to the punch?and in combinations. Its a fact that Sultan throws as many punches in one round as Briggs has been able to throw in 5.

The only thing left to do is strap myself in, lay back, and enjoy the ride.

Oh yeh ...... Get ready to yell TIMBER !

Sponge

Did you pay to see De La Hoya and Meriweather the fight of the century. Not me.... I slept right through that 12 round epic. And won the money.

I know the fights that are worth paying for.

Will you pay to see Hoylfield vs Lou Savarese ?

Did you know in the UK they do not even have the opportunity on PPV to see this
WBO Heavyweight Boxing Championship fight ?

I am hyping this fight because it is going to be a dramatic war and may go down like Joe Frazier did.
Remember when Joe did that little hop skip and jump step when he got hit by Foreman. ?

Besides that I am getting a percentage of the PPV.
So please tune in.:SIB

And thank you for not rooting against me in this fight, its the least you can do. :SIB
Geez Louise.

Down Goes Frazier ! Down Goes Frazier. !

Scott i didnt pay to see the Mayweather fight and if this one was so good they would be asking more for it. I knew the Mayweather fight would be a borefest. After Briggs last fight what makes you think this will be any better? He stunk almost the whole fight and got a lucky knockout at the end. he probably would have knocked the guy out earlier if he would have just thrown a punch. I just think you are hyping this thing like it is a main event. Maybe im wrong.

Syles is what makes fights.

This is going to be a very good fight and will be talked about for years to come.

Sometimes the PPV people make mistakes when grading fights. Thus the cheap 29 dollars.

Oh well you can always watch it on replay maybe.

Nothing like a live Heavyweight KO though.

Yeh your wrong.

Read this at fightwriter.com...a quote from Kenny Weldon who is Liakhovich's trainer...

?Shannon?s a good guy and he?s an American heavyweight champion and we don?t have too many of those, so God bless him for that,? Weldon said, ?but he was fighting a crippled Sergei Liakhovich and he knew that, yet he still didn?t go get him. Sergei had torn tendons in his shoulder and a cracked rib going into the fight but due to his loyalty to Don King he didn?t pull out. It?s hard to fight if you don?t have the weapons. I didn?t say this at the press conference because it?s easy to make excuses, but you can?t imagine the pain Sergei was in, just having to reach to throw his punches. I hope Ibragimov wins because I know Briggs won?t fight us again."

Very interesting

BOX

If Brigg's trained and was in shape like this.

I am all over him , a American Heavyweight

Champion.

But don't just half ass train, like you are 25 again.

In the big picture, I do not think that Briggs is well liked or respected in the uppper ranks of boxing.

I do not think Briggs has many friends in high places and he will need to win convincingly in this fight.

Too self absorbed and out for whats in it for him.

Two more fights for Briggs, this fight , and a comeback attempt with maybe Klitchko.

Can a Sultan be crowned King ........

Very interesting

a trainer making excuses for his fighter after a loss?.......i`d say that`s par for the course.....

anybody that bets a briggs` fight is flipping a coin.....who knows which briggs will show up.....the one that lost to sedrick fields?......

he`ll have to get lucky like he did with light punching liakovich.....he ain`t winning a decision sans about 4 knockdowns....break it down...briggs has one decision win in a fight that goes over 8 rounds....that was vs 48 yr pld george foreman in his last fight....

a majority decision...

i`m not crazy about ibragimov either....punchmaster laid it out....ray austin is basically a journeyman....and ahunaya ain`t that much....he doesn`t have a "real" win yet....

ppv?........what`s the criteria for a ppv nowadays?....

some real fights coming soon.....

btw..what`s the deal on the -11.5 points prop at 5 dimes?.....

if ibragimov stops briggs,is that a winner if you lay the number?.....

i forgot how that works...been layin` low...

thanks

I like those points props at 5 dimes. If you had taken DLH +5 over Mayweather(I did), you win. Last night Ossie Duran plus the points won..

I hate it can you say - 4 and a half. Infact the it started at 3 and a half but i waited to long. **** the judge.

BTW the under 8 and 1/2 is the bet for me in this one. If ibrahimov comes to fight he either stops him or he gets hit. I would take Briggs in round one to three at 600 but its not available.

After the 1st round, its obvious Ibrag won't hurt Briggs without the help of exhaustion, mostly due to the size difference and the fact that Ibrag wants no part of Briggs power

Should get interesting after 9 rounds

Briggs' head is bigger than both of Ibragimov's arms put togethor...seriously

I've got a small piece of Ibragimov by decision at +375...the Over 8.5 +100...and a parlay with Ibragimov at even money

Only two rounds left, Ibrag should easily be ahead on the cards. Briggs head is like a bowling ball, so the Ibrag by decision +375 is looking very good

Do you think sports center will have the highlights or do you think they wouldn't even bother?
