BobbyW, the outright play on Mayfair is a loss. As soon as a player tees off on the 1st hole of the tournament, all wagers are active on that player.

Not much improvement on remaining 72 holes and they have now became a concernCould scalp Lancaster/Allen with Allen @ +110 @ 5dimes with match tied but (probably unwisely) will let it ride.

Outrights are slipping further down.Believe on these pro ams and multicourse ventures one may need to reserve a couple place wagers till later rds as Oly and Funk look very respectable @ Oly place odds today at 7 and 7.5 respectively,especially in light of rather shakey leader board.

Flesch not known for great closes and slipped 8 shots on his prior -2 on south course.Don't know if it was due to the unusual west wind yesterday but they should get all directions today as it calling for SE to E to W to NW which is most unusual.

Biting off a chuck on Rollins but this make him 4 for 4 on cuts this year while it is Batemans 1st out of 3 tries.Rollins ave 72 in final rd in the 4 events and I would gladly take that today.
Will be interesting to see if they take atvantage of the full 7,600 yards today. I would have to think yes. If your not going to use it in final rd of PGA event why build it.

A couple of matchups at the top that immediately jumped out at me, and my research has not discouraged me.

O'Meara(-120) vs. Lewis
Looking for O'Meara to get the most out of his game with this opportunity, and to play with confidence as well. O'Meara did not disappoint yesterday, when I had him pegged in my mind at the start of the day as the 3rd round leader. Conversely, being out front and in the spotlight so often takes a toll on players not used to that position, especially in high profile events or on demanding tracks.

Daly(+100) vs. Kelly
I'll take the better odds with a resurgent Daly, while I also kick myself for dropping him from my outrights at the start of the week ONLY for travel reasons. Not thinking now that he'll show signs of exhaustion! Daly is reasonably solid in these spots when he didn't shoot lights out on Saturday to get there. Although no longer chasing that first win, Kelly has not exactly been a fearsome closer or at his best on the toughest tracks. And Kelly looks to answer after what I believe was the lowest round of the week on the South course.

Final Update:

The Spanish maestro recorded the first of his many victories this year from an unlikely 1/2 way position.
That's the best thing about golf betting - plenty of time for the cream to rise to the top.
For the 2nd week running the challenger luckily made a mess of the final par 5 to secure the cash.
The only regret is my 1/2 time aberration when supporting a donkey like Maggert when the Spanish maestro was
then 100/1 at Surrey!
At least I was able to top my 80/1 Masters with some 66/1 at Coral when he took the lead.

(Popeye 12/1 let the side down in the ANZ for a whopping 662/1 double with Olazabal at 50/1 but it was an e/w )

Thankful that Estes shot a final round 66 to get 5th place. Pity that he failed to birdie the par-5 last hole and so not have to share that final place position. Otherwise, another disappointing week.

Not good results in 1st week I really liked betting opportunities.
Caught some good #'s as they were being dropped,a couple moved as much as 30 cents, but failed to cash. Many of the losses were thrashings which was not encouraging.Outrights were terrible.Liked Oly along with Clive but was leary of his driving and went interactive route instead.Managed to mess it up too selling 4 of 5 shares when they reached $10.
Hope Tiger adds a Nike putter to the bag in the next few weeks. I'll be taking a shot @ some of those +400 odds on missing cut wsex been puttig up. Hitting around 50% of fairways since going to the driver. Amazing the junk they can get you to play with for the $'s
