The FACT of all this is that Auburn is not involved. The Trooper rumors have been around since Tennessee days, nothing found, nothing charged. This has been investigated before the season started, it's all sour grapes now. The only thing that will come of this is making a kid look bad for something he was not involved in. Kenny Rogers is a fucking scumbag liar and this has already been proven.

Finally someone brings up Kenny Rogers and him being a scumbag. He is currently under investigation by the NFLPA for pretending to be one of their officials and trying to get players to sign with an agent out of Chicago named Ian Greengroos. Just like he his pretending that he represented Cam Newton. The NCAA needs to also investigate Rogers, which will happen, they have their hands full.
I just don't think the Auburn coaching staff would risk their jobs, especially Chizik, this is a dream job for him. Aubun has known about the allegations for a while now and has looked into it extensively. Does anyone think that the staff is dumb enough to play him if they knew there was an investigation going on. It's better to go 3-9 than to have to forfeit the whole season.
I know Cam has had his indiscretions in the past, the whole laptop incident, but he has served his time and moved on. He is a character guy now. Here his just one article I have found,http://auburn.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1139741
Please try to find one about Kenny Rogers( the ex MSU football player, not the chicken roaster) and his good character.

It's being reported by sources close to John Bond the guy who went public with the story. It will be out in the public in a few. I can't cut and paste from a pay site.

Urban Meyer what a piece of S#(!. Makes since he would do this to take the heat off of him, hopefully this will cause more. Hopefully we can meet Florida in Atlanta. Newton will go for 500 yards against their sorry a@@es. Hopefully this will get the team to rally around Newton and give us what we need to beat BAMA, and get to Atlanta.
I hope this doesn't hurt his chances at the Heisman, because of a bankrupt S.O.B., a coach losing control of his program, and a New York reporter(Thamel) with a hard on to stick to Auburn.

Why are you laughing Corley? Just because Cam could not wait on Mullins to deposit his Piggy bank into the local coin machine at the Walmart in Starkville? He then turned to Auburn:shrug:

As much as I hate to say it because Cam is a good kid and great athlete but I think his dad interfered too much... I really hope the best for Cam and Auburn

Fact, huh:mj07:

One "fact" that you are WAY off on is that Trooper rumors began at UT. 10 years ago, while he coached at Tulane, buzz around here was that he was paying players

I did not say anything about Trooper recruiting Cam. I was refuting JRush's contention that Trooper rumors began at UT, when the same things were being rumored while he was at Tulane years earlier.

as for Cam, you should chill out as war eagle indicated. my experience is that he knows what he is talking about when it comes to auburn football.

It's sad that all the goobers coming running out and try to make a story out of nothing. This has been known since July. I know it might make some mullets and corndogs excited but don't look for anything to come of this.

Dude - your avatar freaking rocks!

This has been known for a long time that Auburn paid for Cam... I even posted it back this summer when I made my SEC predictions... It's not that MSU is just now coming out with it... it's been known for a while now... it's the media creating drama... Who cares if Auburn paid him... EVERY SCHOOL DOES IT...

I don't know how this thread slipped by me last week but man it's full of laughs. This one was the best. I didn't know we had so many investigative reporters on Madjacks... Corley, just because the only way any raw athlete would go to your school is if they got $200K doesn't mean it takes money to get a raw qb to come to Auburn. If i were a 5* athlete it would take me at least 200 Gs to come to starkville.

Nothing is coming from this story. It's a pathetic ex-MSU player that is already dirty as hell, a butt-hurt Dan Mullen getting snubbed, and a queer pissed off Urban Meyer trying to take attention off of his team full of parolees during a .500 season.

If anything, it hurts Cam's heisman status. Which is fine, we will take the NC trophy and Kellen moore can have the "your team got snubbed 14-0 2 years in a row and never played in a NC so here's some consolation" trophy.

That is fine with me. You guys and your inside sources keep dreaming. Let us know if when you're up for consideration for a Pulitzer

Think what you want man... MSU has nothing to do with this... They turned in Rogers for trying to get us to pay money for Newton... He ends up at Auburn out of nowhere... Because his daddy made the decision for him... He ran off the field after the Egg Bowl ringing a cowbell and was seen at the CC he was at always wearing MSU attire... It's not a conspiracy man... Its just pretty weird how everything went down and how his dad's church was magically repaired...

A bama friend that reads this forum just sent me an email with a link to an old story from 2008. I was wrong about one thing, Auburn has way more infractions that Bama historically. I would never have known.

medium_SECcheatinghall030908.jpg

there's an old saying from Auburn during Bear Bryant's tenure at Bama:

"When Bama sneezed, Auburn got sick"

Even my most avid Bama fan buddies have said plenty of times in cheating conversations that Bear was notorious for paying kids. But he never got in trouble for it. However Auburn got most of it's infractions during the time Bryant was coaching at Bama. If we were cheating back then, we must have been really bad at it. Auburn not too good in the 60s and 70s.
