Glad someone noted that Auburn is robbing some ofl the top players in Louisana from LSU. Miles seems to losing ground on some of the big names and would probably benefit LSU by leaving.

Good post. Miles is losing ground in LA, yet he continues to sign top 5 classes every season:mj07:

In the event that you werre wondering, your opinion means nothing to me, and even less to others around here, including fans of Auburn.

Wouldn't LSU go after Fisher? He's done a pretty good job in Tallahassee. As far as he goes, it would be a helluva lot easier for him to recruit at LSU than FSU.

I would think Fisher would be on their short list. For me, success is mainly about recruiting and Jimbo is definitely a closer.

Very true. A nutless monkey could recruit a 8 or 9 game winner at LSU. I've never know what to think of Les. He has his bonehead moments, but dude wins games.

I love the intrigue when a SEC West rival has possible coaching changes. Never know what your gonna get. Being an Auburn guy, it still pains me to think how close Rich Rod was to Tuscaloosa. HOOOOO Boy would that have been a fine day...

Fisher isn't going anywhere. He's in one of the best spots of any coach in the country. He has a top 3 recruiting class only behind Texas and Bama and he's in a conference that he can rule for a while. He is in one of if not the best recruiting states and his in state competition is questionable at this point. Miami isn't going to take any of his guys and IMO he's going to start getting those guys that UF has been getting.

I wasn't a big Fisher guy but I'm sold after seeing what he's doing in his first full year of recruiting. IMO in two more years he'll have a lot easier track to the NC game than he would at LSU.

And for those that think anyone could win at LSU needs to think again. There's not one program in the country that can do well without a top coach.(see LSU pre Saban in the 90's)(or Bama pre Saban)(or Florida with Zook)

Miles might be a clown but if you put his wins up vs other coaches you would be hard pressed to find one better.

Cie - I just don't understand how you could want a guy like Petrino. You know I respect your opinion, but if that guy were to leave Arky, the way he left the Falcons, he is just a complete piece of s***.

I would put Fisher #1 and #1a on my list. From there, I would go after Patterson hard. Give him a top 5 recruiting class, and he will compete every year for the SEC and the NC.

I didn't mean to imply that I want Petrino, I just passed along that he is interested per word out of BR and would be on LSU list. My preference would be for Miles to lose Crowton and stick around.

Call me crazy, Skipp, but I am not worried about who LSU hires in the event Miles does leave. Anyone who can recruit, will work out fine as far as I'm concerned. I bitched when we hired Saban and it worked out great. I bitched when we hired Miles and it worked out better. In the event LSU football goes in the tank for a few years, I will still have a kickass decade to remember fondly. Would a fourth national title be awesome so that I could enjoy it with my sons? Hell yes, but I am not greedy by nature, and am more than thankful for the success we have enjoyed since 1999 in Baton Rouge.

LSU now has world class facilities, which was not the case prior to Sabear. This is one of the reasons that I am such a big fan of his work. I never understood how LSU fans held it against him for leaving to the NFL. He got this thig started up again 10 years ago. I think that this program is a top 10 program at this point and will be among the first to indicate otherwise when they begin to slip. Most good coaches will perform well here imo, as long as they can recruit.

BTW, Jeremy Hill re-commited to LSU today. All you are stuck with now from LA is a dude (albeit LA's #2 or 3 OL recruit) who is afraid to compete with La'el Collins for the starting LT job being vacated by Barksdale after tonight.......

The funny thing is your the one that pointed out that some of the big names in state are going to Auburn. I'm not sure what your problem is but I don't care if you value my opinion, Les Miles is a dumbass and if you can't see that than I'm sorry. :sadwave:

Well, you are realistic, as am I. So many LSU fans want him fired after every single loss, and it amazes me. It will interesting to see what happens.

Hey, since you have 3rd and Chavis already there, you can hire fat Phil:mj07:
