No. 9 Michigan beats Nebraska 82-53 without Matthews
February 28, 2019
By The Associated Press

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) Brandon Clarke had 21 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks, and No. 1 Gonzaga extended the nation's longest winning streak to 19 games, thumping Pacific 86-66 on Thursday night.

Rui Hachimura added 27 points and Zach Norvell Jr. scored 12 for the Bulldogs (28-2, 15-0 West Coast Conference).

Back atop the rankings for the first time since December, the Zags had little trouble against the Tigers and inched closer to a fifth unbeaten conference record in 20 seasons under coach Mark Few. The Bulldogs close out the WCC schedule Saturday at Saint Mary's.

Roberto Gallinat scored 23 points for Pacific (13-17, 3-12).

No. 9 MICHIGAN 82, NEBRASKA 53

Jon Teske scored a career-high 22 points, and Michigan easily rebounded from its loss to Michigan State with a convincing victory over Nebraska.

The Wolverines (25-4, 14-4 Big Ten) were without Charles Matthews, out with a right ankle injury, but they raced out to a 22-point halftime lead behind Teske and Iggy Brazdeikis. It was the last home game for Michigan, which finishes the regular season with trips to Maryland and Michigan State.

The Wolverines lost only once at home in 2018-19 - 77-70 to Michigan State on Sunday.

Brazdeikis finished with 20 points.

Nana Akenten scored 11 points for Nebraska (15-14, 5-13) but took a hard fall in the second half near the basket.

NO. 24 WOFFORD 80, CHATTANOOGA 54

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Fletcher Magee scored 18 points and Wofford made a successful debut as an AP Top 25 team by trouncing Chattanooga for its 16th consecutive victory.

Wofford, a private liberal arts college in Spartanburg, South Carolina, with fewer than 1,600 students, moved into the Top 25 for the first time in school history Monday. The Terriers (25-4, 17-0 Southern Conference) haven't lost since falling 98-87 at Mississippi State on Dec. 19.

Donovann Toatley scored 16 and David Jean-Baptiste and Ramon Vila each had 10 for Chattanooga (12-18, 7-10).

CALIFORNIA 76, No. 25 WASHINGTON 73

BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - Darius McNeill scored 19 points and Connor Vanover added 18 to help California snap a 23-game losing streak in Pac-12 play by beating Washington.

The Golden Bears (6-22, 1-15) had lost 16 straight games overall and hadn't won a conference game since beating Oregon State on Feb. 3, 2018, including a loss in the Pac-12 Tournament last March.

This was by far the biggest win in coach Wyking Jones' two years at Cal and could quiet calls for him to lose his job at least for a bit.

The Huskies (22-6, 13-2) had won 15 of 16 games coming into this matchup and still ended up earning the outright regular season conference title when both Oregon State and Arizona State lost.

David Crisp scored 32 points to lead Washington, but missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer to set off a rare celebration at Haas Pavilion.

Clarke, Hachimura lead No. 1 Gonzaga past Pacific 86-66
February 28, 2019
ShareFacebookTwitterDiggMySpace

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) A renewed focus on defense helped Gonzaga get back to the No. 1 ranking it held for three weeks earlier this season.

Brandon Clarke, one of the anchors of that defense, is determined to keep the Bulldogs there this time.

Clarke had 21 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks, and Gonzaga extended the nation's longest winning streak to 19 games, thumping Pacific 86-66 on Thursday night.

Rui Hachimura added 27 points and Zach Norvell Jr. scored 12 for the Bulldogs (28-2, 15-0 West Coast Conference).

''We just really worked on our defense a lot, our focus on the scouting report every game and having that overall focus,'' Clarke said. ''People say that defense is the best offense, so I really feel like that's true when I can block shots.''

Back atop the rankings for the first time since December, the Zags had little trouble against the Tigers and inched closer to a fifth unbeaten conference record in 20 seasons under coach Mark Few. The Bulldogs close out the WCC schedule Saturday at Saint Mary's.

Gonzaga was held to a season-low 67 points by Pacific when the teams played earlier this season in Spokane. After a slow start this time, the Bulldogs pulled away by halftime and led by 26 while silencing a near-capacity crowd at Spanos Center.

''For the most part our defense won the first half and our offense won the second half,'' Few said. ''It was kind of a tale of two halves. They're a tough team. They're physical and athletic. A 20-point win on the road against a tough team on senior night, I'm happy with that.''

Clarke led the way with his third straight double-double and did most of his scoring in the first half, while Hachimura fueled Gonzaga's offense in the second half.

It was noticeably different from the first time the teams played earlier this season when the Tigers held the Bulldogs' talented duo to 10 points apiece.

''We were trying to be strong in the post with our shots, trying to not get bumped out of position,'' Clarke said. ''That's something that we have worked on a lot in practice.''

Coming off consecutive double-doubles in wins over Pepperdine and BYU, Clarke scored 10 points and didn't miss a shot during a 25-6 run in the first half when the Bulldogs pulled away following a sluggish start.

Clarke, who had three blocks before halftime, had a steal near midcourt and fed Hachimura for a soaring one-handed dunk when Gonzaga pushed its lead to 20.

Hachimura made two more dunks in the second half, including one off an alley-oop lob from Geno Crandall that made it 61-37. That dunk kicked off a stretch where Hachimura scored 12 of 16 points for the Bulldogs.

''They came out aggressive and they kept hitting us with that high-low action,'' said Pacific's Roberto Gallinat. ''Once they get hot it was just difficult. This time their bigs had game.''

Like it did when the teams played earlier this season in Spokane, Pacific (13-17, 3-12) slowed its offense and repeatedly ran the shot clock down to the final seconds in an attempt to limit Gonzaga's possessions. But the Tigers shot 23.1 percent in the first half and couldn't slow the Bulldogs in transition.

Gallinat scored 23 points for Pacific. Khy Kabellis added 13.

BIG PICTURE

Gonzaga: The Bulldogs have won 30 consecutive WCC road games and 29 straight overall. Although Pacific was semi-effective in muddying up the game, Few's squad kept coming on offense and was too much for the smaller and slower Tigers. Now it's on to face Saint Mary's, where the Zags will try to complete the conference sweep.

Pacific: Damon Stoudamire's team did some good things, especially Gallinat. But Pacific eventually wore down and dropped its sixth straight. ... Pacific last hosted a No. 1-ranked team in 1987 when UNLV went to Stockton on Feb. 9 and won 73-59.

UP NEXT

Gonzaga: Plays at Saint Mary's on Saturday.

Pacific: Plays at Pepperdine on Saturday.

? Green Bay 70, Wright State 67? Raiders fall into a tie for first atop the Horizon.

? Wichita State 65, UConn 63? Shockers hit corner jumper at the buzzer.

? 76ers 108, Thunder 104? Philly had lost 19 in a row to the Thunder.

? UCLA 93, USC 88 OT? In their last two games, Trojans are 1-13 on the foul line. They made 19-49 on the arc on this game; those two stats do not go together.

Quote of the Day
?You would show up and they really feed you and you play pickup and they feed you again and you leave.?
Purdue coach Matt Painter, a basketball-playing extra in the movie Blue Chips, in 1993

Friday?s List of 13: Random stuff with weekend here?..

13) Bryce Harper signs with the Phillies for 13 years, $330M, which works out to $156,695.16 per game, for every game the Phillies play thru 2031. All guaranteed money.

Keep in mind the National League will probably have the DH starting in 2022, so as Harper gets older, he can take ?days off? but still have his bat in the lineup.

California?s state income tax, at its highest level is over 12%, Pennsylvania has a flat 3% income tax, which may help explain this decision. Giants made a 12-year, $310 million offer, which was actually a decent amount less than the Phillies? offer, after taxes.

12) MLB Network was showing spring training games Thursday afternoon, but the games quickly got the hook once Harper?s signing was announced. Not sure I needed to hear four hours of people discussing Harper signing his contract. I don?t give a rat?s ass about anything Bob Costas says.

If you play fantasy baseball, not the best day to have Nick Williams on your team, like I do. The 25-year old OF loses his starting job now that Harper is in Philly.

Funny thing, Phillies played split squad games Thursday, and Williams wasn?t in either game, which at 1pm struck me as odd. At 3:00, it made a lot more sense.

Please trade Nick Williams!!!!! (Baltimore, Miami, Arizona???)

11) Jason Witten came out of retirement and will play for the Cowboys again next season, which opens up a spot in ESPN?s Monday Night Football booth.

10) Tommy John missed the 1975 season after he had the original ?Tommy John surgery? on his elbow. Here are his career stats, before and after the surgery:

Before: 12 years, 124-106. 318 starts, one All-Star Game
After: 14 years, 164-125, 382 starts, three All-Star Games

He pitched in the major leagues until he was 46 years old.

9) Kyler Murray made a lot of money at the NFL Combine Thursday, when he was measured at just over 5-10, and weighed in at 207 pounds. Pretty much the same size as Russell Wilson. he is going to be a top-10 draft pick in April.

8) Raiders are now expected to play home games in Oakland next season, with the plan being to move into their new dome in Las Vegas in 2020.

7) Upsets of the night in college basketball:
? California (+13.5) 76, Washington 73
? North Dakota (+9.5) 88, Fort Wayne 82
? Florida Atlantic (+9) 60, North Texas
? Elon (+7.5) 73, James Madison 58
? Marshall (+7) 90, Louisiana Tech 79
? Xavier (+5) 84, St John?s 73

6) If you live in the Albany area, the 3rd-oldest coin/jewelry store in America is on Wolf Road in Colonie, kind of near Ted?s Fish Fry. Ferris Coin & Jewelry is a pretty cool place; they?ve been in business since 1930. I have some old $2 bills that I thought might be valuable (they?re not), but the people in there were very nice and they answered all my questions.

5) Actor Mahershala Ali, who won an Academy Award for the movie Green Book last weekend, played basketball in college at Saint Mary?s; he averaged 7 points a game as a senior, back when he was known as Ali Gilmore.

4) Something to think about two weeks from now: over last four years, Kentucky is 12-0 in the SEC basketball tournament, with nine wins by 10+ points.

In the four tournament finals, Wildcats started 19 different players. Isaiah Briscoe was only guy to start in two of them.

3) Johnny Manziel got kicked out of the CFL; they didn?t say why. Manziel had been playing for the Montreal Alouettes, who are coached by former Packers? coach Mike Sherman. Sherman?s son-in-law is Zac Taylor, the Cincinnati Bengals? new coach.

2) Kid on Xavier made a foul line jumper against St John?s last night, and it dawned on me; you almost never see that shot taken anymore. Everything is layups and 3?s; mid-range jumpers are frowned upon by the analytics people.

1) Indiana University (PA) started the last week of the regular season ranked No. 2 in the country in Division II, but when they showed up at Edinboro State for their game Wednesday, they realized they had made the 100+-mile trip without an important thing- their uniforms.

I put myself thru college as student manager of a D-III basketball team; I shudder to think of the grief their manager(s) took for this mistake. IUP won 87-59, much to the manager?(s) relief, but guaranteed they?ll be obsessive about not forgetting things the rest of the season.

Indiana, PA by the way, is the Christmas Tree Capital of the World; when I was in college, we played in their Christmas tournament, the Christmas Tree Classic. Next town over from Indiana is Punxatawney, where the ground hog sees (or doesn?t see) his shadow every February 2.

Friday's Tip Sheet
March 1, 2019
By Kevin Rogers

Kent State at Bowling Green (-5 ?, 149 ?) ? 6:00 PM EST - CBSSN

The top three teams in the East division of the Mid-American Conference take the court on Friday night. East (and MAC leader) Buffalo visits Miami, while the two clubs behind the Bulls fight for second place in the division with three games remaining. Bowling Green (19-9 SU, 15-10-1 ATS) started MAC play at 11-2, but the Falcons have gone backwards of late by losing to Ohio and Miami, both in the favorite role. BGSU was stymied by Miami for the second time this season in Tuesday?s 82-69 home setback as seven-point favorites, as the Falcons try to avoid their first three-game losing skid.

Kent State (20-8 SU, 12-13-1 ATS) snapped a two-game losing streak in Tuesday?s 78-73 home triumph over Ohio, but the Golden Flashes failed to cash as 7 ?-point favorites. The Flashes pulled off the season sweep of the Bobcats, who sit at the bottom of the East division with a 4-11 record. Kent State reached the 20-win mark for the seventh time in the last 10 seasons, while trying to win 10 MAC games for the fourth time in the past five seasons.

Bowling Green crushed Kent State in the first matchup as five-point road underdogs on January 5 in an 86-64 rout. It marked the sixth time in the last nine regular season matchups that the away team has come up victorious, as the Golden Flashes have covered only once in the past six meetings with the Falcons.

Rhode Island at Dayton (-8, 135 ?) ? 7:00 PM EST - ESPN2

The Flyers (19-9 SU, 13-15 ATS) enter the weekend tied for second place in the Atlantic 10 conference a 11-4 alongside Davidson. Dayton reached the NCAA tournament four consecutive seasons from 2014-17 before finishing below .500 in Anthony Grant?s first season as head coach in 2018. However, the Flyers are currently on the tournament bubble as the conference may receive only one invite (VCU is the leader).

Dayton is riding a three-game winning streak after dropping a 69-68 heartbreaker to VCU in mid-February. The most recent victory for the Flyers came in blowout fashion as Dayton crushed UMass on Tuesday, 72-48 to easily cover as six-point road favorites. Dayton built a 40-18 halftime lead and never looked back as the Flyers shot a scorching 55% from the field. The Flyers improved to 6-2 on the road in A-10 action, while pulling off the season sweep of UMass.

Rhode Island (13-14 SU, 10-17 ATS) ended a five-game slide in Tuesday?s 80-53 home rout of George Washington as 10 ?-point favorites. The Rams had lost to VCU, Davidson, and Dayton ? the top three teams in the league during this stretch, while failing to cover in all five losses. One thing you can count on with URI in conference play is when they win, they cover (6-0 SU/ATS), and when they lose, they don?t cash (0-9 SU/ATS).

In the previous meeting between these two squads in Kingston on February 9, Dayton rolled past URI, 77-48. The Rams closed as a two-point home favorite, but the Flyers jumped out to a 14-point halftime lead and torched Rhode Island by shooting 63% from the floor. Dayton has cashed the UNDER in five of seven home conference games, while not allowing more than 69 points in any of those contests.

Buffalo (-8 ?, 152 ?) at Miami (OH) ? 8:00 PM EST - CBSSN

The Bulls (25-3 SU, 16-10-1 ATS) aren?t going to sneak up on anybody in the NCAA tournament this season after shocking Arizona in the opening round last March. Buffalo sits atop the MAC at 13-2 as the Bulls are in the midst of a six-game winning streak after rallying past Akron, 77-64 on Tuesday. The Bulls closed out February with a less than stellar 3-4 ATS mark, while the last loss came to Bowling Green to start the month in a 92-88 setback.

The Red Hawks (15-13 SU, 14-11-1 ATS) have been the epitome of consistent inconsistency by alternating wins and losses in the last nine games. Miami is coming off a solid road victory at Bowling Green as seven-point underdogs on Tuesday, 82-69, but the Red Hawks have not won consecutive games since late January. After starting MAC home play at 0-2, Miami has picked up victories in four of its past five games in Oxford.

Miami is playing with revenge after getting blown out by Buffalo, 88-64 as 16-point underdogs in mid-January. This series has been dominated by the home team, who has won the last five meetings, including an 84-81 triumph by Miami last February as six-point ?dogs.

Ivy League Nuggets

-- In a 5:00 start, Brown (17-9 SU, 10-11-3 ATS) seeks a season sweep of Columbia (7-17 SU, 10-11-1 ATS). The Bears edged the Lions, 65-63 as one-point road underdogs on February 16 to improve to 3-1 in the last four matchups. Brown has overcome a 1-4 start in Ivy League play by winning four of its past five games, including a 68-65 victory over Dartmouth last Saturday. Columbia sits at the bottom of the Ivy alongside Dartmouth at 2-8, while coming off an 18-point setback at Princeton last Saturday. However, the Lions have covered in each of their past three Friday contests.

-- Both Yale (18-5 SU, 13-9 ATS) and Cornell (13-13 SU, 11-13 ATS) are coming off losses last Saturday as the two squads hook up in New Haven. The Bulldogs had their six-game winning streak come to a close in a two-point setback to rival Harvard, while the Big Red dropped their third consecutive game in a 68-50 defeat to Penn. Yale barely cashed as 5 ?-point road favorites at Cornell in mid-February, 98-92, but the Bulldogs own a perfect 10-0 SU/ATS record in the past 10 matchups.

-- Two teams going in different directions hook up in New Hampshire as Princeton (15-8 SU, 11-10 ATS) looks to stay on fire against Dartmouth (11-15 SU, 12-9-3 ATS). The Tigers own a 7-3 conference record after beating Cornell and Columbia at home last weekend, while covering each time as a 6 ?-point favorite. The Big Green returns home following four consecutive losses, all on the road, but Dartmouth managed a 3-1 ATS mark in this stretch. One of those covers came at Princeton in a 69-68 defeat as 6 ?-point underdogs on February 16, as the Big Green attempt to beat the Tigers at home for the second straight season.

-- Harvard (14-9 SU, 11-11 ATS) hopes to avoid a look-ahead spot as the Crimson host Princeton on Saturday. The Crimson welcome in Penn (16-10 SU, 13-12 ATS) on Friday as the Quakers are fresh off an 18-point blowout of Cornell. That was the first game decided in regulation in the last four for Penn, who fell to Harvard in overtime on February 16 in a 75-68 setback as a one-point favorite. The Crimson are riding a four-game OVER streak, but Harvard is 0-3 ATS in their last three attempts in the favorite role.

Ranked Teams Dealing With Potential Slip Up Spots This Weekend

As the conference races across the country started to reach a boil last week, it's now or never for some teams as the regular season hits its final days. And while most of the smaller conferences will begin their conference tournaments early next week, it's the Power 5 programs that still have another weekend of regular season action to deal with.

That final week and weekend is all about rivalries for schools, meaning that this week's game has a lot of potential landmines for teams to navigate first. Saturday alone has 21 of the Top 25 teams in action, and nearly half of them (10) are out on the road somewhere. Only one of those games in total has a ranked vs ranked going at it (Kentucky vs Tennessee), which means there are plenty other ranked squads not exactly in the best role this weekend. Chances are at least a few of them slip up, so let's try and break down who that will be.

Look to the Big 12 for potential upsets first

Of all the ranked teams in action on Saturday, four of them come from the Big 12, and all four could be looking at tougher than expected games when you break it all down. Ranked Kansas, Texas Tech, and Iowa State teams are all on the road against Oklahoma State, TCU, and Texas respectively. All three of those games could be ones where backing the home side ends up being the profitable side.

Everyone knows about the Jayhawks struggles on the road all year long, and for as bad as OK State has looked for the majority of the year, you can't put it past that program to show up and play a bit over their heads for 40 minutes in a spot like this. Kansas is dealing with that pressure of keeping that 14-year streak alive of finishing atop the Big 12 conference, and with nothing to play for other than pride, the Cowboys could thrive in this role.

TCU and Texas may be worthy of being in ?Play on? spots as well as a big home win over a ranked foe would do wonders for both of those respective resumes. With both sides having lost the first meeting against their respective foe, TCU and Texas also have the revenge narrative on their side here, and it would not surprise me at all to see at least one of them come away with a SU win on Saturday.

1st place showdown in the Mountain West

A ranked Nevada team is out on the road as well this weekend as they visit Utah State in what is essentially a conference championship game. Utah State sits just a half-game behind the Wolf Pack in the Mountain West standings, and with Nevada owning a 23-point win from the first meeting, all the chips have to get pushed into the middle here if you are Utah State.

Both of Nevada's stumbles in Mountain West play have come on the road (losses to New Mexico and San Diego State), and this spot looks to be one where we could see the Wolf Pack stumble again.

Utah State is far from the same team that got smoked in Nevada back in early January, as they've gone 13-2 SU since that game and have currently won 12 of their last 13 overall. At home since that loss, Utah State has gone 7-1 SU, with a point per game differential coming in at +15.9 during that span. The Aggies have also gone 2-0 SU in terms of getting revenge on Mountain West rivals that have already beaten them earlier this year, and to make it three straight with a win over Nevada while vaulting themselves into a share of 1st place in the conference, is probably all the motivation this Utah State team needs on Saturday.

Calipari doesn't expect Travis to play

March 1, 2019
By The Associated Press

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Kentucky coach John Calipari would love to have Reid Travis hounding players at Tennessee on Saturday, but he suspects that won't be the case.

Travis sprained his right knee in a victory over Missouri on Feb. 19 and hasn't played since. His defense on Southeastern Conference scoring leader Grant Williams played a large role in Kentucky's 86-69 triumph over Tennessee at Rupp Arena two weeks ago.

''We're going to see what he does today and tomorrow, but I doubt it,'' Calipari said Friday. ''What kids try to do is convince you that they can do this. My whole thing is this is about the long season, not the short season. This will be a hard game whether he plays or not.''

No. 7 Tennessee doesn't expect any less of a test in its rematch with No. 4 Kentucky just because the Wildcats likely won't be playing at full strength. The Volunteers lost 82-80 in overtime last week to No. 13 LSU when Javonte Smart replaced the ailing Tremont Waters and scored a career-high 29 points.

''When you lose a player or you're down a player, someone steps up,'' Tennessee coach Rick Barnes said. ''We saw that firsthand at LSU. That's what you expect, regardless of who you play.''

Kentucky (24-4, 13-2), Tennessee (25-3, 13-2) and LSU (23-5, 13-2) are in a three-way tie for first place in the league standings. LSU has the tiebreaker advantage in regard to SEC Tournament seeding because it went 2-0 against Kentucky and Tennessee.

That makes Saturday's Kentucky-Tennessee matchup crucial for both teams.

''The good news for us is they have as much to lose as we do,'' Calipari said. ''It's always nice every once in a while - maybe three times a year - to have a game like that, where the other team has as much to lose as you do. We play games where the other team has nothing to lose.''

Calipari said Friday that Travis - a Stanford graduate transfer - was ''unbelievable keeping an eye on Williams'' during the first Kentucky-Tennessee matchup. Williams scored 16 points by getting to the foul line, but he had just four field-goal attempts.

Kentucky also outrebounded Tennessee 39-26 that night while stopping the Vols' school-record 19-game winning streak.

''I do think they were more physical, no question about that,'' Barnes said. ''I think our guys know that. We just have to play harder than we played (at Kentucky). I think everyone knows that.''

The Wildcats have won their first two games without Travis but needed to rally from a 15-point deficit Tuesday to eke out a 70-66 home victory over Arkansas. EJ Montgomery has replaced Travis in the starting lineup while Nick Richards has provided a spark off the bench.

''We know (Tennessee's) going to come out fighting and try to hit us first,'' Kentucky guard Ashton Hagans said. ''We just can't let that happen. We're down a big, and EJ and Nick are going to have to step up. When they give us something, we're just going to have to feed off that.''

Tennessee doesn't face the same kind of health issues beyond what Barnes termed as ''just minor things that you have this time of year with a couple different guys.'' Starting forward Kyle Alexander played just 11 minutes in a 73-71 victory over Mississippi on Wednesday after testing positive for the flu a couple of days earlier.

But the Vols' biggest edge Saturday involves the site. Tennessee has won 24 straight at home and has beaten Kentucky in this building each of the last three seasons. This will be the first regular-season matchup between two top-10 men's teams at Thompson-Boling Arena since it opened in 1987.

Calipari likened the challenge of playing at Tennessee to the one an opponent faces at Rupp Arena. He added that the Vols' visit to Kentucky suggested that this year's trip to Knoxville could be particularly troublesome.

''I've been here 10 years, and the Tennessee game is the first game I can ever remember seeing the opponents' fans in our building,'' Calipari said. ''I saw orange. I was like, `What in the world?' And those tickets were expensive. It must mean they've got very wealthy fans, I have no idea. But they were there. (That) really means that they're into this basketball team, they're into their coach, they're into their players.''

Ohio State suspends top scorer Wesson

March 1, 2019
By The Associated Press

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) Ohio State has suspended leading scorer Kaleb Wesson indefinitely for violating an athletic department policy the school did not specify.

Ohio State did not say when the 6-foot-9, 270-pound sophomore could return, only that he will play again this season. The action by coach Chris Holtmann was announced Friday.

Wessen is averaging 14.6 points per game for the Buckeyes (18-10, 8-9 Big Ten) and is their top rebounder with 6.7 per game average.

The Buckeyes have three regular-season games remaining, including at No. 14 Purdue on Saturday. Wesson had 18 points in Ohio State's 90-70 win over Iowa on Tuesday.
