As explained previously, I feel Obama may suck from the middle class to pay the poor. Maybe someone on here who knows differently can quell my concerns:shrug:

Bob Brinker explains how hard Obama is looking to tax successful small business owners.......

?This is the plan where, right now you have the $102,000 cap on the Social Security tax. This is the 6.2 plus 6.2, which is 12.4 to the entrepreneur and business owner??.everything above that not subject. Well, he has this donut hole idea, where you create maybe a $100,000 up to $200,000???. where you don?t do anything right now???where you don?t make any changes. Then he sinks the battleship when the donut hole is finished. Because above $200,000, the Junior Senator from Illinois, in his na?ve notion of how jobs are created and economics works, is talking about lifting the cap on Social Security??..So we have the 39.6 and we have the 12.4, so all of a sudden we?re up to 52%. And the 2.9, the cap is already lifted on Medicare??.now we are up to 55%. How many entrepreneurs do you think live in places that charge high state taxes???now you are up to 62%, depending on the state you choose. A 62% marginal tax rate on entrepreneurs. This is the policy that Barack Obama is talking about.?

Are people poor because they want to be poor, or are they poor due to generations of failure and NOT having the opportunities that some others have? Most citizens living in the state of being poor aren't afforded opps for good jobs and wealthy enough to send themselves or there kids to school in order to break the cycle....so what do we do about this? Require small and bg business owners to employee these peoples allowing them to build something for themselves or keep giving them handouts and HOPE they are self motivted enough to get off thier rumps and go looking for jobs that will put them in a finacial situation to not need help, good luck in that one as getting paid the money they offer now adays with the cost of living and gas doesnt allow a pleasant living. I will vote or would vote for ANY canidate regardless of race, creed, or color that is willing to HELP OUT the lower class by taxing the wealthy of this country, is it right:shrug: and I AM NOT SAYNG YOU SHOULD BE TAXED, I DONT KNOW YOUR LIFESTYLE OR TAX BRACKET, nor does it matter to me....but these atheletes getting 5-10-25 million a year for entertainment as doctors, cops, firemen, and teachers make just a living as the atheletes and super Ceo's make million s isnt right in my demented mind. I feel once we all find a way to be self confident and not looked down upon this place becomes great.....I belive the crime would be lessened and alot of the other rongs could be righted in America, I live close to PHILADELPHIA and EVERYTIME there becomes a shortage on jobs and life becomes a little harder to manage due to finaces PEOPLE GET KILLED DAILY, and I dont think its due to BAD PEOPLE, but due to bad situations. If there was enough jobs to go around and everyone was a little better off financially thet wouldnt kill over money and material items IMO.......again maybe this is my sick demented mind working again and I am just a fool, but sharing and caring could help this country immmensely......Bill Gates, Oprah, Puff Daddy.....all made thier own money and when is too much too much? Famalies they run or are involved with will NEVER for generation and generations have many financial worries as some of the less fortunate will be torn apart through hardships and little to NO opportunities.....again Cie I am not ripping you for your thoughts but I just wanted to share my idea of HELPing and it may not have ANYTHING todo with this threads title or your % of taxes you are speaking of.... We ALL have a part to do in making this world BETTER from helpng an old lady across the street or cutting an elder nighbors grass to giving some of what you have to offer in monetary proportions. I just wish all these guys who don't want their taxes to go up and im sure that is almost all of us, realize the tax cuts they got were pissed away and more with their heating cost, fueling their cars, high health care, etc.. It really would be nice of these guys who are so worried about their taxes going up to be worried about these other cost as well. Then i think we can all have a common bond. In the Clinton Tax days everyone was making money not just a select few. Trump was on Larry King a few years ago even saying this. He said he loved the Bush Tax cuts but unfortunately he was making more money Under the Clinton economy. When the economy stinks very few of us make money. If those interest rates ever start to shoot up goodnight Irene.

Brinker has been bringing this up every weekend. His guest this weekend thought there was no way OB could put this into play.

He's got a number of things that really get him going politically of late. He normal doesn't go there.

The economy is not that bad off. Sure there is some stagnation, and there are major problems in Florida, Cali, Nevada and a few others due to the mortgage crunch. I think Ohio and Michigan seem to be hurting as well due to manufacturing woes brought on by unions. That leaves 40+ states in good shape financially. Gas is on par price-wise with 30 years ago. The bogus recession every kooky doom and gloomer speaks of has not occurred. First quarter GDP is about to be revised up over 1% from .6%. Inflation is in check. Sure, fuel is high compared to last year, but we can either do something about it like drill and work on our non-petroleum energy programs, or we can continue to suffer the consequences.

As for seeking common ground on lowering energy costs, this is my #1 overall concern these days. The crackpot environmentalists that happen to run the democratic party are in the way of us drilling, building refineries, and building huge nuclear waste storage facilities. We need all three right now.

How do you propose we lower fuel costs? Or are you simply going to sit back and watch while blaming Exxon-Mobil --who produce less than 3% of the world's oil -- and GW Bush.

I feel that taxes should be held in check for the middle class. IMO, the middle class includes incomes up to 200-250K at this time.

I have no problem helping those who cannot help themselves, but I do have a problem with families earning 200K/yr being labeled as "rich"

Who in this country is not afforded high school eduction--including illegals at tax payors expense.

Then if they excell--who is not afforded scholarships.
--is getting scolarship or grant easier or harder for low income families.

The poverty level for family of 4 is currently $42,495. The median family income in U.S. in 2002 was $42,409--go figure??

Off course it is a great post in your eyes. Its all rightwing talking points. Funniest part is blaming the environmentalist. It has nothing to do with the two oil guy who happen to be thieves throughout their pathetic lives. Chavez offered us all the oil we wanted to lower the prices but we turned it down. Not because he is this so called bad man that we are led to believe but because we are led by two lying crooks who happen to be oil guys. I have to agree it is time to dig so we can develop a whole host of new excuses you guys will buy when the oil companies decide they want to keep the price right were they are. Oh here is a part of one of those emails of Karl Roves. Check out the part about the oil prices. Oh and the economy? Anyone can have a fair economy when your country is pending it into soaring debt.

Dollars & Sense: Many progressives are focused on privatization of the Iraqi economy, including its oil industry, as Bush?s real goal for the invasion. But you write about two radically different plans within the administration, the neo-cons? versus Big Oil?s?and Big Oil?s plan was the one opposed to privatization. What?s going on here? Plus: any update on how privatization and the whole neo-liberal reshaping of the Iraqi economy are going?

Palast: A lot of intelligent folk believe Bush had a secret plan to grab the oil fields of Iraq before the tanks rolled. That's wrong. He had TWO plans. In Armed Madhouse, I show you both -- the result of two years undercover for BBC. The plans conflict. There's the neo-con plan: Privatize -- that is, sell off -- everything, "especially the oil" industry. That's a quote from the 101-page document which I learned was written by the neo-cons. That didn't happen -- because a Jim Baker team -- he's the lawyer for both Exxon and Saudi Arabia -- secretly wrote a 323-page plan that called for CONTROLLING the oil flow, not owning it. The purpose was to LIMIT the supply of oil from Iraq and keep prices high. This would, "enhance [Iraq's] relationship with OPEC" -- the oil cartel. That's a quote from the document you're not supposed to see.

So here it is: the invasion was about LIMITING the flow of oil from Iraq, keeping prices high, not grabbing the oil to bring prices down for your SUV. The secret Baker plan is now the law in Iraq and prices are over $50 a barrel. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED.

Great example.....and the Mexicans who WE ALL WANT TO BE AND LIVE LIKE ARENT COMPLAINING BECAUSE THEY HAVE NO CHOICE!!!!! JUST WORKING DOESNT MAKE A QUALITY LIFE, I KNOW PEOPLE THAT HAVE JUST BEEN WORKING FOR YEARS AND STILL HAVE NO HOUSE THEY OWN, AND ALSO ARE LIVING VERY CLOSE TO CHECK TO CHECK......IF THATS YOUR IDEA OD GOOD LIVING THEN YOU ARE A LITTLE MORE NARROW MINDED THEN MOST OTHERS!!!! CAN YOU TAKE ME PAST A MEXICANS HOUSE THAT ISNT AN APARTMENT OR A MEXICAN THAT HAS AN ACRE OF LAND OR SO??? YUP THEY LOVE THE CHANCE TO WORK FOR MINIMUM WAGE THAT WE GIVE THEM, TO BE HONEST EMPLOYING ILLEGALS, OR GETTING RID OF AMERICANS (AS ALOT OF JOBS HAVE DONE) TO EMPLOY CHEAPER LABOR IE MAXICANS IS JUST ANOTHER FINE EXAMPLE OF GREED AND FILTH THAT ROBS THIS COUNTRY!!!! I DIDNT OR DONT ASK FOR HAND OUTS BUT EXPLOITING AND TAKING ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE IS NOT MY STYLE.....BUT THEN AGAIN THAT IS WHAT THIS COUNTRY WAS BUILT UPON!!!!

QUESTION>>>>>>who was speaking of HIGH SCHOOL? If a high school education can afford you a good life style I am surprised, because most successful people have higher educations and/or was gifted to start a company from scratch or LUCKY enough to have a relative GIVE them a company or access to the company for a good job!!!
NOW ANSWER WHO ISNT AFFORDED A HIGHER EDUCATION----ALOT OF AMERICANS

You work hard in high school and only the BEST OF THE BEST are given scholarships....now if every student had a 4.0 GPA would they all be given scholarships?? Doubtful, and unfortunate as it may be but most LOW INCOME to POOR FAMILIES dont have the resources to know about MOST grants and LOANS AVAILABLE or have the INCOME TO BE AWARDED THE LOAN...KNOWLEDGE IS KEY...and most students that see there family struggle for years that they are in college are geared for one thing once they graduate if they are lucky enough to do so........thats work to help themselves as mom and dad cant afford to TAKE CARE OF THEM ANY LONGER WITH THE LIMITED FUNDS THEY DRAW IN......so theres some GREAT STORIES OF POOR PEOPLE MAKING IT IN LIFE BUT I WOULD BE WILLING TO BET, THAT MORE POOR FAMILIES DONT SEND KIDS TO HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOOLS THEN DO!!!

obama wants to spend roughly .10 % of our gdp on "the global poverty act".......

not to mention economic policy platforms promising enormous, unprecedented, historic increases in runaway government spending, to be financed with huge, record setting, historic tax increases.....

this is exactly what our economy needs, just when it may be tipping into recession, and facing the stiffest world competition in decades....

he wants to up the corporate income tax?.....you think jobs are leaving now?.... counting federal and state corporate income taxes, american corporations face an average top rate of 40%...

the average corporate tax rate in the european union was 24% in 2007, down from 38% in 1996. ....
how are we gonna compete not only with these countries, but with emerging giants of india and china, given this crippling tax liability?

you guys don`t think...it`s all about 'feel good"...

Yep. How anyone can feel Obama's fiscal policy is anything but irresponsible, myopic and dangerous??

The good news is Obama will lose because many white dems over 50 who voted Hillary in the primaries will vote McCain in november. McCain's team is aware and have been pandering to the left for this reason. Ironically, it is the repulsive racist views of the generation before mine that will save this country from collapse at the hands of an empty suit with excellent oratory skills.

This election will not be as tight as Bush's previous wins. McCain will pull away despite the efforts of the wolrd media, who have built-up Obama for the past 3 years......

No need to apologize. A strong % of white 50+ Hillary supporters will cross over to McCain based on racist beliefs.

Plus, racist republicans will vote in record numbers to avoid a black president.

You heard it here 1st.
