Ape, you are a gentleman and a scholar, plus it seems an accomplished chef. I will never question your menu again! I was just breakin them but you played it like a pro. Stick around; we need class acts around here. The only time I can recall seeing Cotto fight "out of character" was versus Corley in PR. He went after him like a man possesed. He got caught because of it but still won. I say this as there seems to be questions as to Cotto getting pulled into a brawl versus Tony. What Margarito did to Cintron doesn't impress me a whole lot. Cintron was out of his league both times. Plus mentally he has issues. I thnk Cotto is smart enough to realize what he MIGHT do if he goes native on us. I think he keeps his cool more so than not.

Btw, I played the Lacy-Mandoza Under 5.5 +125 at 5dimes a few minutes ago. Unfortunately my $100 bet moved the line to -110...lol. I won't play it again at the new price, just a value play at +125 as both guys will be swinging for the fences here.

I like Margarito inside distance +350...with Cotto in a few parlays at even money as a hedge

Med play. Margarito, FWIW, says he will take Cotto out inside of 4 rds. Now it may be all BS, or he may actually believe he can and will try to do this. If he is serious, I think he is asking for more trouble than he wants. Who knows? Maybe Margarito is VERY anxious to get it on as this is his hope for HUGE paydays down the road, but I'm not so sure Cotto is going to cooperate. The plot thickens.

I've seen his posts on boxrec in the betting threads. He's good people and knows his stuff. I'm glad he's on here with us

i like the info here....i can see margarito inside as a hedge....and it`s +378 now...

i have cotto in pars,so,the hedge is reasonably thrifty and much more likely, imo, than a margarito decision win...

thinking about the lacy under...but,i hear he`s gonna revert back to more of a boxer-puncher style...

the sweatpants thing?......you need to practice a little gun control there,my man...:wtf:

Just read Graham's write-up, seems like Lacy's trainer wants him to use his jab and box more. I admit that worries me a little, but with Mendoza he can't just work the jab and stay cozy all night. Mendoza will be throwing bombs from the start, and since he trained properly for this fight, he'll be throwing bombs in the mid-rounds as well. I don't think team Lacy picked the right opponent if they want Jeff to work on his technique. Mendoza will force the action and make Lacy trade with him. Like the thong said, Mendoza likes to go to the side and the back of the head, with big shots no dought, Lacy won't be able to stand there and take that all night long while he "works the jab". At some point, I see this fight turning into a brawl, most likely it will happen in the first 30 seconds of the fight, Mendozo won't let it happen any other way. Just a $100 bet at +125, so it won't hurt much if it loses

The prop im eagerly anticipating is: Leader after 3 loses or draw.

In the Hop/Calzaghe fight, the line was +270, and Hop was +220. So in worst case, you have a Hop +270 bet. Miraculously it turned into a +270 bet on Calzaghe! Incredible blunder on their part.

Same situation here. Cotto should be ahead after 3, but if I can get +230 on that prop, it's a must grab. The Margo ahead after 3 line could be good as well, considering he's so adamant about starting quickly.

I think Marg will be leading on the cards after 3. Cotto doesn't want to mix it up early and he'll be on his toes boxing and evading. With Cotto's tendancy to fade late in fights this is the most sound tactic and there is no doubt he'll be employing it (he'll need all the stamina he can get in the late rounds). Margo will be pressing forward and very aggressive early (which he's been trying to do since the PW fight) so he will look good in the eyes of the judges (effective aggrassion).

This is just my opinion but if the 3 rd. Lederman prop looks tasty for Margarito (+200 or better) I'll be all over it

those +200 odds are nice, eddie, but i`m not sure i agree that the early rounds favor margarito....

i think the speed difference will be most apparent early in this fight....

but,i`ve been wrong before...

I agree...Cotto early....Marg Late

However, I don't see Cotto hurting Marg early in the fight, if Cotto stops him (which I dought) it will be in the last few rounds of the fight

my thinking is that margarito started extremely slowly vs williams and particularly vs clottey....he was clueless vs clottey early in that fight,imo...

he`s "like a snowball rollin` down the side of the slope of a hill.....he`s groooowin`"

/weasel`s apologies to the temptations...

I added two minor plays on Margarito Cotto

0.5 units on Either fighter knocked down or out
@-105
I like to hedge my overs with this prop, because both bets may come trough...
I'm not too confident that it will happen here, but the line is IMO too high.

0.5 units on Margarito +1.5 after 3 rounds (Lederman card)@1.48
Margarito cannot drop the early rounds like he did against Williams, and I think he knows it.
I dont see an early knockdown or ko for Margarito either, so all he has to do is win one single round...
I'm still waiting for 5dimes to drop some lines on this prop...I might add some money here...
