The only UK action I have seen lately was 4 rounds of the
Woods-Johnson fight, which was tape delayed on FNF's.
Unfortunatly I heard that network is cutting their boxing
budget which means FNF's will probably be discontinued.
Hope I am wrong but Arum says the industry is in trouble.

Just read that Kirk Johnson weighed in at 260 pounds,
more than 15 pounds over his next highest weigh-in.
Klitschko should dominate but too much wood to lay
considering Vitali's eye, which was a hole in his head
only 6 months ago. If it reopens due to a punch and
the fight is stopped it would be a tko win for Johnson,
regardless of the scorecards.

I like Vitali but way too risky considering the odds.

champion ivan calderon has selected to have a 24 foot ring for friday`s title fight vs alex "nene" sanchez instead of the usual 18-20 footer......also looks like calderon has chosen not to use reyes or grant gloves for the fight(sometimes referred to as "puncher`s gloves)......not sure what they`ll choose......

sounds like calderon`s gonna try and box his way to a decision....he has 18 wins with 3 big k.o.`s(none of the victim`s has a .500 record)........

remember,these guys are strawweights(105 lbs)....a 24 ft ring is ridiculous for guys this size.....they may go rounds at a time before running into each other .........

E.Morel -600 over L.Parra

I'm thinking of betting all 3 of these favorites and Klitschko
and Mesi as well.
Total risk about 14,000 to win 2,500. (nickel on each match)
Will all 5 favorites win today?
I usually don't make these type of bets, but I see all the 5 favs winning tonight, so a good chance of picking up 2.5 dimes.

Pulling the Klitschko play from tonight's card. I have been
screwed by head butts and cuts too many times to risk it
on this one. I still think he will win but there is a chance
his eye has not fully recovered from the hole that was
made only six months ago. I think Teddy Atlas was right
when he said the cut might be healed on the outside but
could still be damaged inside. Here is the scenario I am
afraid of, Vitali dominates the first half of the fight only to
have his eye reopened by a punch which means if the fight
is stopped it would be a tko win for Johnson regardless of
the scorecards. The rest of tonight's card looks very solid.
I'm not taking a chance on the hole in Klit's head staying
closed, too much wood.

I think the strongest play of the night is the Calderon over.
There has been significant line movement on all the dogs
of the Puerto Rico card, but Calderon is the only favorite
that has a chance of losing, imo.

for not getting back to you.......but,yes,i`m on calderon/sanchez over....to many factors point to the over...i hate laying those odds....it will ruin my day if it blows....

b.l...i see your point on klitschko...regardless of the 260 lb bloat on johnson,teddy atlas made my ears perk up,too.....how could we forget that nasty cut....

do you remeber maussa....upset that phenom a few monthhs back....he`s a fairly tough guy....

i think johnson,who looked terrible against susie ruiz,is sneaky enough to scare me here....but,at 260,i expect him to fade late...unless he gets lucky....and that`s not out of the question...

and don`t believe for a second he won`t be shooting for that cut...

calderon ran for 12....easy winner.....parra actually upset overrated morel....i saw it coming....didn`t know enough about parra to take the side...the over felt good....
