i`m back

i`m back

with a fairly substantial play on a wayne braithwaite blow-out of luis pineda.......

under 7 rounds(-135).....a nice play.... i honestly don`t get this line....hope there`s no shenanigans....

also took a small longshot bet(not that long)on felix machado+150 to reverse the first decision vs luis perez....small....but pays at 1.5 to 1....

like braithwaite under...also on anchondo/vargas over...

only 3 plays...i`ll post rationale thursday(today)....

b.l.....if you`d rather me post in my own thread let me know....just started posting and it got away from me....actually,i`ll post the rationale in my own thread....sorry for the inconvenience...didn`t expect to step out on some plays this weekend.....l.

g.l.

btw.... posted December 10, 2003 09:14 PM

The USBA super welterweight title fight between Tokunbo Olajide and Larry Marks that was scheduled to be the ESPN2 main event on Friday night has been postponed to a later date after Olajide came down with a bout of the flu over the weekend. The card, which is at the Edgewater Casino in Laughlin, Nevada, will now be headlined by the ten round heavyweight bout between Audley Harrison and Brian Nix. That bout will be supported by a ten round super featherweight match between Humberto Soto and battle-tested veteran James Baker.

BL and GW did it again as Anchondo-Vargas went the
distance. This thread is now 6-0 for +4 units, I hope
somebody is paying attention.

Boys,

I am certainly paying attention. You are both doing a very fine job. As is the usual with postings in Off The Wall, you wont get as much credit as you deserve, but be assured I am reading, and look forward to tomorrow nights boxing.

No way will Robin Reid get a decision in Germany. If he wins he needs to take out Sven Ottke, and I cant see him doing that. However, I have little respect for Sven Ottke. He is a over rated fighter hiding behind his back yard. He has been given the opportunity to come over and fight Joe Calzaghe, but says he is not being paid enough. If he really thought he can beat Calzaghe, then he should come over take the belt, and the financial rewards would follow. For me, this is a dead division.

Looking for big things off Ricky Hatton. Probably the boxer who gets the most coverage over here in the UK, so looking for him to take out Ben Tackie. However, the Hatton over bet may be the shrewd play.

Keep up the great work and good luck this weekend!! :)

Hatton's a very good fighter and I love his go for broke
style but Tackie is a very tough customer having gone
12 with Kostya and Sharmba. If this fight was not in
Ricky's back yard I would seriously consider putting $
on Tackie as a very live and somewhat substancial dog.
And after seeing the early line movement some don't
care where the fight is. Either way this should be an
all out war, we may even see a new compubox record
for punches thrown in a light welter fight. I can't wait!

btw, sorry for using the "C" word

The winning streak continues as Hatton-Tackie goes 12

The Ottke-Reid results should be up any time.

Lets keep it rolling!

Thanks
I can't wait to see the tape delay of Hatton-Tackie.
Wonder if Tackie held his own and got screwed by
the judges, or is Hatton really that good. I guess
we'll see, but if the unanimous decision was legit
you have to think Hatton is amoung the best in
the division.

Great start to the weekend and month, this thread
is now 8-0 for +6 units. Looking to sweep the board
for the second straight week tonight with two solid
plays left on the card.

Boys,

Dont know if the fight has been shown across the Atlantic yet, but this was not a hometown decision. I still have to laugh at the American view that hometown decisions exist in the UK. Maybe Germany, but certainly not the UK.

I watched the fight with a small bet on Tackie, and I can assure you Tackie was outclassed from start to finish. Hatton looked cpomfortable throughout , apart from the last two rounds where he took some heavy blows. However, the fight was more than won at this point, and in a honest assessment, Tackie took three rounds at the very most.

I too have my reservations about Hatton being world class, but he has got his diet sorted and is more than a match for anybody out there. Watch this space! ;)

I am watching this Reid-Ottke fight, and this is a disgrace to the sport. I have never seen such a biased fight. The referee is all over Robin Reid, and has docked him a point for absolutely nothing. Whats more, Reid knocks down Ottke in the fifth, and the ref adjudges it a slip.

The sport is a disgrace. I can speak, not being a fan of Robin Reid. I am a Joe Calzaghe man, yet this is corrupt for everybody to see. If anybody gets the chance to see this fight over in the USA, then please please please watch it, and back me up on this.

This is clearly a mismatch. Ottke is clearly a piss poor fighter and should command the respect of nobody in the boxing world. Hiding behing corrupt officials in your own backyard each fight certainly does not command my respect.

Boxing-shame on you!! :nono:

Ottke is good for a play on the over every time.
The guy has an excellent chin and absolutely no power.

Btw, Perez-Machado went the distance making this
thread 9-0 for +7 units with one play left on the board.

Where are you UT-L? I haven't heard from you this week,
I hope you are cashing in.

Good work boxlocks. If anyone is on here could you update the fights as they end or as you see fit. Would love any info you have starting with the Judah fight. Thanks in advance.
