Hendo isn't exactly a big draw. He's not a big time headline fighter anymore. He's definately a big draw to hardcore fans, but there is nothing about him that attracts him to the casual fans. He doesn't have the sparky personality, he doesn't have the flashy fights(in the UFC). Take away Bisping fight, what fight has he had that's been exciting?
To be honest, I'm a hardcore fan and the only fight he's had that peaked my interest was against Bisping. And that's because I wanted him to beat the hell out of Bisping...really had nothing to do with Dan :shrug:
His fight with Silva didn't have u jacked up before it took place? Two division Pride champion against the pound for pound best. I couldn't wait for that fight when it happen. It helps to have a draw with him.
Of course not because he only tells his side of it.
Tito questioned what fighters were getting paid as to what UFC was making so out he goes.Can say Dana was wrong to boot him.
How do we know what Hendo wanted?? Because that is what Dana says he wants yet he signs with Strikeforce and I know Hendo didn't break any bank in that signing.
Randy didn't like his pay and wanted more? Dana said no so Randy left. Dana was wrong in that case as well.
Dana is ripping off fighters LIKE CRAZY and the only thing he can come up with is Strikeforce is going to go bankrupt.
Rampage was just crazy so I will give Dana that, but Dana was wrong in trusting someone as CRAZY as Rampage to begin with.
Should have booted him after the road rage.
Dana gets a bad rep. He's the face of the organization, yet he doesn't even cut the checks.
Randy, Tito, and Hendo all 3 aren't worth what they asked for, nor what they're making now.
I'll take Dana's word for what the asking price of these guys are. When Dana says Hendo wanted more money than any other fighter, I believe it.
I'm always JACKED to see Silva fight, but I see you said Silva...not Hendo :shrug:
When was the last time you were excited to see Dan fight. Not the fight he's in, but actually juiced up to see Dan Henderson fight? The only time I can think of is Bisping, and that's because I wanted him to knock Bispings head off.

I agree he is no headliner anymore and not a big draw ever but there is plenty of other UFC guys with the same background.
The problem with Dana is he is known for just bashing and making up stories when he doesn't get what he wants. IT NEVER FAILS. HE TURNS ON EVERYBODY.
Wandy is one loss away from Dana turning on him.
Machida really comes to mind as does Clay Guida when it comes to guys that have way more boring fights than entertaining ones.

Well I meant to say he is a hard guy to market as a headliner.
Like Bucs said, Dan is not any kind of outspoken blowhole that makes a ton of noise. I think that is what was so funny about his post fight comment on Bisping fight.
Mousasi/Hendo will be a great fight but if you are not a hardcore MMA guy then you probably have no idea this should be an awesome fight.

he is a headliner, just not marketing and putting butts in the seats.
headliners & draws in the UFC are...
Silva, GSP, Penn, Couture, Jackson, Liddell, Tito, Lesnar and as much as it pains me, Forrest Griffin. Obviously Bisping, but only in England.
I'm sure I might've missed a guy or two, but those were just off top my head.

I think this therapy Bucks is getting is taking a little piece of his brain. Most everyone loves to see Hendo fight. Just hear the crowd reaction when he enters the ring. To say Hendo isn't a draw is silly. I look forward to all his fights. sure they all aint show stoppers but who's are?
Very disappointed in u Kegray. for u to slam Hendo like that makes me want to jump off the Kimbo express..
From a fight standpoint he is a headliner but he is not the flashy big talking entertainer to market as a headliner. Of course he never really has been that his entire career.
He is still a damn good fighter and a huge pickup for Strikeforce and no matter what Dana says he is a loss to UFC. Even more so right now with all the injuries.

I think you're missing what I'm saying. Henderson is obviously a great fighter. Top of the line name. However, I gurantee you that if I walked through my town, and took a survey or asked everyone to rank the top 10 most popular UFC fighters, Henderson would most likely not crack the list. There's a difference between being popular, and good.
The UFC is a BUSINESS. MMA is a SPORT. Business comes first, and when it comes to the business side of it, Henderson doesn't bring to the table what guys like I listed do, even if you think Henderson is a better fighter. It's not even arguable because it has been proven.
Chuck + Randy + Tito could never win another fight, they will put butts in the seats.
Some guys have "it," and some don't. Accept it, and move on.
Okay i will accept it Bucks the god of MMA. If u said it it has to be golden.
