I was in your camp exactly until 2 years ago when I had some that was better than a filet.

I have always been able to eat it, but the whole time I'm thinking a cow is much better. Give it another shot, Jack!

I agree, was offered up some this month in fact and declined. What I will accept is the Deer Jerky when it's ready. I guess it takes some considerable time to get it just right.

Yes I eat version, not a hunter but my buddies hunt my property and I get a fair share. I like the backstraps but my buddies make burger and and I mix a pound of venison with ground chuck and make chili. Awesome

I don't care for it. I will eat the sticks and jerky, though. And to me, that is the thing.....you really have to doctor that shit up to make it any good.

When I hunted 40 years ago, the one thing I loved, was the heart. Slice it like steak, and fry it in butter. That shit was pretty good.

Don't like it and like saint, I love other gamey meats like lamb. If you add pepper, salt, oil, and gravy like lucy and pachicky do to anything it can pretty much be eaten. But what is the point?

You absolutely must trim off all the fat. That is where the gamey taste comes from. Young does are the best. Bucks for summer sausage and sticks only. Its all in how you prepare it. Never eat anything from the dumb fuck that left it in the back of his truck, or had it tied on the hood of his jeep for a week showing everybody.
