Had family stuff to do and ended up missing all of the fights except for the Kimbo fight.

I've seen a ton of cauli ear but that was sick looking. Most of the time the ear is swollen and they drain the ear before fights. To me it looked like they pumped some more blood in to his ear. It was so heavy with blood it was hanging. I told my step father he's lucky he wasn't fighting Tyson with that ear.

Can't wait for tomorrow night, Pulver and Faber could be a war.

Gus Johnson doesn't do the Final 4(that is Nantz),but he is well known for his extreme NCAA BBALL excitement. Also does NFL week to week for CBS. Seems like he always does Houston games.
He is annoying but exciting.

No rebuttal here. A retraction of my first statement is necessary.

1. Cardio - enough said
2. Ground game - he actually made several correct counters on the ground in the first round. In the second round, I think he was too gassed to even get out of that goon's crucifix.

Kimbo is not in the top of any list in MMA. I believe that's a known fact at this point.

BUUUUT, call him the Anna Kornikova of MMA. He may not ever win against any meaningful opponent, but his ratings will be strong. If whatever league he is in is smart, he will be put on the undercard right before the main event each time just as a ratings help. They will do well to continue giving him suckers that he can knock out.

Now... with my embarrassing previous post there to be read by all, I will slink back to my hole and prepare for the real fight tonight.

Any Faber backers out there should be scared. I think he wins the fight tonight. And that's coming from someone who tried to throw Kimbo a little support.

I think Gina was beginning to tire when she started landing those punches. I give her credit, she hits harder than the "colossus".

Speaking of big James, it's a pity he hits about as hard as my 7 year old son from side control or the fight would have been his.
He is lucky the ref did not hit him back after the stoppage or it would have been lights out.

Thompson's strikes from side control made me think of the song "Raindrops keep falling on my head"

That fight was fixed by the ref and Gary Shaw. That referee was looking for ANY reason to step in and stop that fight. I've never seen a fight stopped like that. COMPLETE GARBAGE.

The whole card was a complete mockery of MMA. I hope CBS never puts them idiots baack on TV.

Did you know 1 retarded judge gave the 2nd round to Kimbo 10-9, then another gave it to Thompson 10-8?

Brock Lesnar would take care of Kimbo in 2minutes. That says about about how far Kimbo has to go(and will NEVER get that far).

I usually dont watch these events and have not bet on any.

Lets face it Kimbo is a crowd favorite and came up the hard way on the tough streets of Miami.

The guy deserves to make his 6 figures for awhile as he has paid his dues.

I saw Kimbo make a couple of escapes that were very good. He did tire early though . But for him not to get choked out by a experienced grappler is amazing. Kimbo is a strong sum bitch.

Cauliflower was out on his feet. Good stoppage. The ref was pretty pissed about taking that punch at the end.

Still would like to see Kimbo Vs Butterbean.

The girls were very entertaining. Can you imagine sitting at ringside watching your daughter fight like that ? that would be a nightmre.

Really liked Smith. He is a tough guy for sure. It would not have been stopped if he hadnt said he could not see. That could be a detached retina or something undiagnosed from a Doctor with a flashlight.

If he had said I am seeing double he may have gotten the full five minutes. It was obvious he wanted to take the five minutes as he was getting rocked at the time.

I thought Tank was such a beast.

My wife watched Kimbo for the first minute with my encouragement. When she saw they could hit with elbows and knees she left.

It takes a certain attitude to enjoy this type of fighting. I cant say that I would take it over watching boxing.

I think its harder to cap as you really never know when a lucky elbow could take a guy down like a clown, no matter who the fawk he is.

It takes the skill level of the fighters out of capping eqaution. Maybe I am wrong, but this is the first time I watched it in 2 years.
